Primrose House Care Home is a purpose-built luxury care home located in Brough, and provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 66 residents in single, ensuite rooms. The home benefits from facilities such as a library, hairdressing salon and cinema room. There is also spacious living and dining areas for residents to relax, socialise and spend time with loved ones during visits.

The dedicated care team gets to know each resident, working with them and their loved ones to create detailed care plans so that their needs are always met. The care team provides individual and compassionate care by getting to know each individual and building strong relationships with them and their loved ones.

Residents living with dementia receive quality dementia care, provided by colleagues, who are fully trained to ensure their approach is the best for residents living with dementia.

The staff in this care home have been exceptionally kind hard working and attentive in everything they do for you the meals have been lovely and the rooms and social areas are immaculate we could not have asked for more and would definitely recommend primrose care home to anyone

My Mum came out of HRI after falling and a hip replacement. She was at home for 4 weeks and not coping. We were very worried of her decline in basic eating, drinking and taking meds. We showed her the brochure for PH and booked a visit to show here the facilities, a week later she went in for respite
care. She has been there for just over two weeks now and she is loving it, her words "5*". From the beginning all the staff have been wonderful, caring, cheerful and so helpful with everything. PH is very welcoming, so clean and tidy and so much space. We love the laundry system, little buttons with the room number on put into all the clothing.
The food is great, she has eaten more in two weeks than she has in ten weeks. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I went with my Husband to visit and he was bowled over by the care and love the Dementia residents were given, he actually welled up. Mum is happy and loves the company as she has lived alone for over four years now. Thank you

Mum stayed at Primrose House for two weeks so that I could have a break with my husband. Mum settled well and the staff were conscious of her anxieties without me. They handled it very well and I have seen her laugh more than I have seen in a love time. Thank you everyone.

My grandma came to primrose due to not been safe and looking after her self at home after a broken hip. It was her choice to give it a try and ever since we took her she loves it . The staff are friendly and helpful you can tell they enjoy there job and its not just a job what pays. The food is amazing
home cooked made with love and amazing presentation.
The home it self is well looked after clean and tidy. Everyone is so helpful and cannot do enough to ensure there service users are content and happy. We are really happy she has her sparkle back ! Thankyou again

At the age of 94 the time came when my mum needed specialist care. Sadly it would transpire that my mum would only live there for just under two months due to her extreme frailty but it was huge help. The care and compassion that the care home staff gave to my mum was absolutely superb.The facilities
are brilliant. I cannot fault how she was treated from the management and care staff to the staff that looked after her room and those that tried to accommodate her eating habits as her health declined. The end of life care that she received was superb and she was shown great dignity. The care and compassion that we received as a family was incredible . I cannot thank everyone at Primrose house enough for their help. I would wholeheartedly recommend this Residential home if the time comes for you to make the decision to either live there yourself or if you need to arrange accommodation and care for a loved one. I wish that she had gone there sooner. Thanks

Primrose House is a beautiful care home based in Brough. It feels like a high standard hotel and is always immaculately clean however for us as a family it was very disappointing.
My mother in law was served notice from her previous care home due to her increasingly challenging dementia behaviour,
Primrose House assured us after visiting her to assess her behaviour they would be able to provide the care she needed.
Sadly 10 months later this has not happened and yet again she has been served notice.
We have moved her to a home that provides mild, moderate and complex dementia care but the actual move was traumatic both for her and the family.

My 95 year old mother transferred from Wiltshire to Yorkshire recently. Her health has deteriorated which meant we needed to find accommodation suitable for her needs and under the care of our doctors. Primrose House staff and management have not only supported my mother they have also supported my
sister and husband who travelled from Wiltshire because my mother was not expected to last. During this distressing time, we have received kindness and good counsel to the extent that we are unable to find the words to thank them enough. Without exception, the staff and management at Primrose House are professional in their approach with empathy and kindness at every moment. We cannot fault them, they are wonderful. The activities are brilliant, from exercises to crafting, there is never a dull moment. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, cleanliness is a priority and care paramount. We looked at several homes and I am so happy we decided on this one. Mum is now on the mend thanks to them.

We needed to put my mum in emergency respite care, and from the first call, all the staff at Primrose House were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Their prompt and compassionate response reassured us that Mum would be well cared for, and indeed, she settled in very quickly within just
a few days.
We explored several care homes in the area with the intention of finding a permanent place for Mum, and Primrose House stood out as the best, by far. The quality of the food is excellent, and the facility is always clean and well-maintained. The staff show great care and dedication to the residents, following care plans meticulously and providing personalised attention.
Overall, Primrose House has exceeded our expectations in every aspect. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for their loved ones.

My mother has lived at Primrose House for over a year. We have found the care, love and understanding a great support, Not just for Mum but for the family.
This is a rocky road for everyone dealing with Alzheimer's and dementia.
Primrose House is five-star, food , care , stimulation. I wouldn't
want anything less for my mum!

My mother has been a resident in PH for just over a year. From our very first contact, we were impressed by the managers and all of the staff. They were superb in helping me out with great advice and support at quite a difficult time. I could not have asked for more. I knew from first entering PH that
this would be the home my mother would transfer to. Her short-term stay in a previous home went very well but I needed somewhere nearer so I could visit more easily. The place always has a friendly feel upon entering reception with a warm welcome. The facilities are superb and the whole building is kept beautifully clean.
The care staff engages with the residents and there is always something happening to provide stimulation and excitement. Visitors are made extremely welcome at any time and staff are extremely friendly at all times. I have been kept very well informed of any concerns relating to my mother and I certainly have peace of mind that she is extremely well looked after. Thank you.

The manager and the team consistently go out of their way to make my dad's stay at Primrose Brough enjoyable and stimulating. My dad sees it as his home now, the staff treat him as a friend and look after his every need. It's a lovely place for him to live.

My mum has been a resident here for some time now and I can't fault the care which she has been given by all the care staff, and management which at times must have been quite difficult for them. The care staff have all been very caring and understanding and have listened to any concerns we have had
with Mum. The activities the home provides are outstanding along with the meals provided. We are always made to feel very welcome and part of the team. There are always going to be the odd problems but these are resolved professionally and with care and consideration.

My dad moved from another care home to Primrose House and I noticed a change in his mood straight away he is much happier. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There is always something going on at Primrose House plenty of activities for the residents. The food is excellent we
had a family Christmas meal last year it was so delicious we have booked again.

Having visited Primrose House last week my wife and I were keen to move my mum from her care home where she has been living for the past 4 years as quickly as possible even though she is diagnosed with Parkinson's, Dementia, and Atrial Fibrillation. This was a big move for us but the Care Home Manager
and his staff made our experience very much more comfortable. The facilities at the care home are amazing but it's not what attracted us the most, it was the people who were going to care for my mum. The service users all seemed so happy and content, engaged with a whole raft of activities. The staff were equally as happy and engaged. This was all witnessed during a visit which was not prearranged. During the last few days, we received great support with finance, transfer arrangements, planning, and above all reassurance that my mum would transfer successfully and would receive the care and stimulation she needed. It is only day one but they have been true to their word, and we are so grateful.

We have just moved our lovely mother-in-law into Primrose after looking last week. We saw the manager on the first day who has been fantastic in sorting the care and has a true passion for this amazing place along with his whole team. My mum-in-law had such a lack of stimulation in her previous care
home, that she was not looked after half as much as she had been on her first day here at Primrose. Her clothes have a special tag so they know they're hers, the small but special touches, the personal care plan, the activities, the love. We know everything is wonderful already and we have definitely made the right choice. We cannot thank the whole team enough, they know her already and she's part of the family. Thank you.

Excellent service all the best from the initial assessment through the full 2 weeks of respite. Despite being at short notice. All the staff are kind, friendly, caring, and efficient. Activities were many and varied meals to told were very good.

I felt so impressed with the kindness, care, and attention given to my friends who stayed as a couple for a 2 week respite break. All standards were maintained to the highest levels, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this house to anyone.

Braiden has worked in the health and social care sector since 2017, beginning his career as a care assistant specialising in residential dementia care. While he has also supported young adults in the community, his true passion lies in caring for the elderly, particularly those with dementia. Braiden’s creativity, rooted in his earlier interest in performing arts, fuels his commitment to providing a person-centred approach to care.


In his role, Braiden uses his technical skills to guide and support staff, helping them achieve both personal and professional goals.

Beverly started working in hospitality in 1991 and has worked the length and breadth of the UK enjoying hotel and administration work.
