Very friendly staff, the care is outstanding and the residents are treated with huge amounts of respect and dignity. My mum has settled in wonderfully even though she only recently moved in. She feels very loved and comfortable. Gorgeous rooms and food!

As a family member of a resident at Primrose House, I have visited on many occasions. On every visit, you are greeted by friendly staff (including Cody and Winston with their very waggy tails) who always have time for a chat. There is always a positive buzz around the building with staff and residents enjoying activities or chatting over a cup of tea. My mother-in-law has a beautiful room which looks out onto the garden and the cleanliness is second to none. Despite her initial worries about moving, the staff have been amazing at helping her to settle in and very quickly understood all about her and her needs. I particularly like the social media posts which allow us to see many of the activities she has been involved in. A big thank you to everyone at Primrose House.

The staff whilst I was there were wonderful! Helpful and friendly. Room facilities, very good. The facilities are not geared up for wheelchair use, the lift and door keypads are too high plus exiting the building is very difficult. Fold-down shower seats (wall-mounted) in the bathroom would have been a good idea!

Reply from Max Andrews, Business Support Manager at Primrose House

Thank you for the wonderful feedback regarding the staff and facilities at Primrose House. We also appreciate your notes regarding the wheelchair accessibility issues. This is something we will raise with our maintenance team to look at readjusting the keypads as well as assessing the accessibility of the building and bathrooms. We will be sure to keep you updated with any changes.

Visited Primrose Care Home today for the first time. Wonderful experience in a lovely environment with friendly staff who couldn’t do enough. Everywhere looked very clean and the room where my friend was beautiful with all en-suite facilities. My friend said the food was delicious and he was very happy to be so well looked after. A huge thank you to all the team.

This is a lovely home and the staff are second to none. I have received so much help from them where other agencies failed miserably. I cannot praise them enough, including the chefs who go out of their way to support my relative with a special diet.

My initial contact with Primrose House was with the management team. I cannot fault their help and support during a very stressful time. I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful to myself at all times. I am very pleased with the way staff have helped my mother to settle and have shown her kindness and attention especially when she has been upset. As numbers of residents increase I am hopeful that activities will become part of the daily life.

Since Mum arrived at Primrose House, she has been very happy. Each time I have visited I've look through the doors to see Mum before I go in and each time she has one of the staff looking after her. The decor isn't like most care homes and it feels more like a hotel. I have been really impressed so far.

I visited my father on a cold wet day and received a very warm welcome at Primrose House. I had an initial chat about his care in the coffee shop in reception with the manager who was able to clearly explain the physio and other treatments my father is having. Dad said he was really enjoying the food and the staff were very kind to him.

A professional yet welcoming, 'nothing too much trouble', 'one big family atmosphere at this beautiful caring home. Our mum moved here from a home in Hessle where the lack of care was making her so unhappy. At Primrose House, she has received the best care from day one. The staff are so attentive and genuinely interested in providing the best care to their residents. A high standard of daily routines, lots of stimulating activities: hardworking staff with a true talent for care which is fantastic. We believe this is absolutely best for our mum which is so reassuring and what our mum deserves. Thank you to all the staff for helping our mum smile again.

My mum has gone for 2 weeks of respite care in this newly opened care home. Mum is in a standard room. The rooms are hotel-style with tv and Freeview, lots of cupboard space with plenty of lockable cupboards and a fridge.

The bathroom/ wet room is spacious also with decent cupboard space. The dining areas are again hotel style and the food, which I have sampled myself is excellent with snacks and beverages in between. Above all the staff are lovely, caring and can’t do enough, nothing is too much trouble. There are plenty of activities on most days with a cinema room, hairdresser and chiropodist who attend regularly. I would highly recommend Primrose House.

I have worked in the health and social care sector since 2017, beginning my career as a care assistant specialising in residential dementia care. While I have also supported young adults in the community, my true passion lies in caring for the elderly, particularly those with dementia. My creativity, rooted in my earlier interest in performing arts, fuels my commitment to providing a person-centred approach to care.

In this role, I use my technical skills to guide and support staff, helping them achieve both personal and professional goals.

Outside of work, I value quality time with my family and enjoy city breaks across Europe, where I immerse myself in learning about different cultures.
