Over all time Riverside Lodge has 31 reviews.
My Stepfather moved into Riverside Lodge April 2025. His room was on the 3rd floor with a view of St Marys Church. He has been so well looked after during this time, fed, clean and well taken care of. Staff are amazing especially Toska, Vivianna, Louise, Abbie, Fedosa and Teresa. The care home is so well run by the manager, Agnes and her admin team - Sadie, Ruth, Amy, Sarah and Mason. There is always a smile from the staff when we arrive. The entertainment team are also very good at encouraging residents out of the room to take part in singalongs, events etc. Unfortunately my stepfather died two weeks ago but he has had the best last 11 months of his life that he could have had and in fact he has probably lived longer than if he had been at home. The care given wasn't just for my stepfather but to my family too. There have been many hugs over the last few weeks. Thank you to all the staff for your concern and care.
We're so sorry for the passing of your stepfather and thank you and your family for entrusting us with his care. It's so rewarding to hear that his time at Riverside Lodge was spent with such a caring team and that he was so well looked after. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for the home, it will mean a great deal to all the staff.
Key factors have been:
Friendly, caring attitude of staff - Mum feels 'safe' and supported.
Staff members are approachable and willing to problem-solve any minor issues that may occur.
Good quality facilities - Mum has a comfortable room.
Shared areas are well presented and provide space for visitors.
Establishment of friendships with other residents - sharing a wide range of activities.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're so pleased to hear your mum has settled in well, feels safe and supported, and is enjoying the friendships, environment and activities at Riverside Lodge. Your kind words will mean a great deal to the team.
Mum has been a resident at Riverside Lodge for a while now. She made the decision to stay after respite care. Things have been amazing giving her a new lease of life. This month she was extremely poorly and was admitted to hospital. When she finally returned we thought it wouldn't be for long. Incredibly, with the hard work and dedication of all the staff she is eating again and joining in with all the activities she enjoys. They work so well as a team and know the residents needs and requirements inside out. Thanks to them we as a family are seeing our mum return. Thank you everyone at Riverside Lodge
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're so happy that your mum is doing so well after returning from her hospital stay and that she's eating well and re-engaging with the activities in the home. Receiving reviews like this means the world to everyone at Riverside Lodge and at Quantum Care.
I was given personal attention in my room and the dining room. The staff were always willing to escort me to the Dining Room although it was not always necessary. When I had a guest the staff would immediately bring to my room a tray of coffee, etc.
The food was excellent and the rooms very comfortable with a comfortable armchair, well appointed wet room and the staff always willing to help.
There was a TV which was accessible to watch.
The rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable. My view was pleasant overlooking the local Church.
There was a comfortable seating area as an extension of the dining area where I could look out at the water park. The staff were always ready to bring a cup of tea/coffee.
The kindness of the staff was incredible, helping me and listening to me when I was upset.
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt review. We're so pleased to know that your time with us for respite care was met with kindness, comfort, and personal attention. It means a great deal to hear that our team helped you feel supported and listened to, especially during emotional moments. We're...
My grandma has been residing at Riverside Lodge for a few weeks. The staff have all been kind and patient, which has helped her settle in. She has also been able to participate in gardening activities which is very important to her. Overall she is much happier at Riverside than she was at two previous care homes, one local and another in further away. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home for your relatives.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We're really pleased to hear that your grandma is settling in well at Riverside Lodge and that our team's kindness and patience have made a difference. It's especially lovely to know she's been able to enjoy gardening - we always try to support residents in...
His room is clean and airy and its great it has direct access to outside. The lounge has been a great hub of social activity though it has been disappointing for the last few weeks that there has been no TV which is often the vehicle to bring the residents together, but this was minor and it hasn't detracted from the overall experience. Dad has really loved the use of other facilities such as the cinema room. Overall the staff have been really excellent, supportive and caring, and made residents, visitors and relatives feel welcome and safe.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We're so pleased to hear that your dad's stay with us has been a positive step in his recovery and that our environment has supported him in regaining his confidence. It's wonderful to know he's enjoyed his room, the access to outdoor...
My Mum recently visited Riverside Lodge for a 3 week respite stay, having just come out of hospital and while family members were away on holiday. Mum has had respite stays in 2 other care homes in the last 12 months and she definitely preferred Riverside Lodge, as did we. The care home is brand new so the environment and facilities are first class as you would expect, but most important was the friendliness and care provided by the staff - Mum said that nothing was too much trouble. She also enjoyed the range of activities on offer, and we felt that the layout of the home (with a lounge / dining room and dedicated care team on each floor) made it a more personal experience. Mum also made friends with several other residents while she was there. Riverside Lodge will be our first choice whenever Mum needs further care home stays in future.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. We're so pleased to hear that your Mum enjoyed her respite stay and that Riverside Lodge stood out positively compared to other homes. While we're proud of our modern facilities, we truly believe that it's the warmth,...
The staff are caring helpful and kind and nothing is too much trouble if she wants to do something other residents don't eg visit to the supermarket for some flowers.
The home is spotlessly clean, there is a friendly atmosphere and numerous activities and entertainment provided which are fun and stimulating for residents.
Meals look lovely and there is always food available for residents and there families alike.
The lodge have allowed a huge weight to be lifted from our shoulders and we can rest in the knowledge that she is safe, looked after and eating nutritious food regularly and always treated with dignity and respect by all members of staff.
Thank you
Thank you for sharing such lovely feedback. We're thrilled to hear your mother in law has settled in well and is enjoying both the social side and the welcoming environment at Riverside Lodge. It's wonderful to know the dining experience has added to that enjoyment too. Your kind words and recommendation mean a great deal to all of us at Riverside Lodge.
My mother I must say was not happy with going into a 'home' but quite honestly it's more like a hotel. She has settle very well and has enjoyed interaction with the other residents . From a personal point of view I feel at ease knowing that my mother is being well cared for in an environment that she enjoys . The staff are very upbeat and cheerful. They welcome the family when visiting and actually it is like a large family . The rooms are very light and spacious with good size shower rooms on suite . Riverside Lodge is a very pleasant place to visit with a cinema room and again feels like a hotel. Many places for the elderly do not have the ambience that Riverside Lodge has. If anyone is looking for a residential home for an elderly relative I would recommend they visit Riverside Lodge Rickmansworth..
Thank you so much for your review. We're truly grateful that your mother chose Riverside Lodge for her respite stay, and it's lovely to hear that she felt so well supported and comfortable with us. My mother was very comfortable at Riverside and enjoyed her stay. There is a happy and very caring atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and kept our family informed as needed. Mum, my sister and I would not hesitate to recommend Riverside Lodge.
Thank you for taking the time to share your lovely feedback. We're so pleased to hear that your mother was comfortable and enjoyed her stay with us. Creating a warm, caring environment is something we take great pride in, and it's great to know this was reflected in your family's experience. Your recommendation means a great deal to the whole team at Riverside Lodge.
My mother in law was treated very well during her stay. The care staff were excellent and made her feel safe and secure. The managing team kept us well informed both before and during her stay. The catering & facilities were of a high standard and i would have no qualms entrusting her with the team again.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that your mother-in-law felt safe, secure, and well cared for during her stay with us. Our team works hard to provide not only high standards of care but also clear communication with families, so it's wonderful to know that this made a...
Riverside lodge staff have always presented as caring capable and responsive to the needs of my mother. They have taken time to find out about her and her needs and interests. They are aware of her wishes to be as independent as possible. She has significant visual issues and has very little eye sight. Staff manage the risk related to her blindness with sensitivity allowing her to garden and socialise. She presents as happy and settled. I could not ask for more from a care home
Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful review. We're absolutely delighted to hear that your mother is happy and settled at Riverside Lodge. Our team works hard to get to know each resident as an individual, so it's lovely to hear that their efforts to support her independencewhile...
My mother started as a Respite resident and is now permanently living in Riverside. She has settled well and thoroughly enjoys interaction with the other residents and their daily activities. The care team are very kind.
It warms our hearts to receive such positive feedback! We strive to create a supportive and enriching environment where our residents can thrive.
My mother was staying for respite care and the transition to being a permanent resident was handled very well. My mother is now settled in and enjoying the great activities and meals very much. On visiting Riverside Lodge I find the staff very welcoming and helpful. The bedroom, ensuite, and recreation areas are very clean, warm, bright, and comfortable. It is very comforting to know that my mother is safe and is being very well cared for by the excellent staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Providing exceptional care and support to our residents is our top priority.
I have visited the home a couple of times myself, but not while Dad was there. Consequently, I cannot really give ratings for some of the categories. I have rated these as "satisfactory".
Thank you so much for your kind words! Providing exceptional care and support to our residents and their families is our top priority.
My elderly aunt had a fall which affected her confidence and mobility. She spent a week at the care home which helped her literally find her feet and rebuild her confidence. The facility is very clean and has a nice homely feel and is perfectly located being so close to the town centre. The staff were amazing and looked after my aunt, who can be difficult, with huge professional pride. I would highly recommend this home to others.
It warms our hearts to receive such positive feedback! We strive to create a supportive and enriching environment where our residents can thrive.
All of the staff have shown care and compassion in excellent surroundings.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Providing exceptional care and support to our residents is our top priority.
The staff are caring, kind, friendly and helpful to Mum and to her family and other visitors.
I find management very approachable, and, like all the staff, they place Mum's happiness and safety as most important.
I am so thankful that Mum is in such a lovely and safe home where she is genuinely cared about, and very well cared for.
It warms our hearts to receive such a positive reveiw! We strive to create a supportive and enriching environment where our residents can thrive.
It was a real pleasure to visit my friend in this wonderfully resourced home. Having felt quite low previously, in Riverside my friend became her old self again due to having help with all her daily needs, meaning she could once again experience life to the full. I noticed the staff were attentive, but not overbearing, and were respectful to all. Thank you Riverside for your care and attention.
We truly appreciate your positive feedback! Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure that every resident receives the highest quality of care.
After the initial settling-in process, my wife has settled down very well and even she says, we made the right choice, she is especially complimentary about the food with she enjoys. The staff from reception to all the nursing staff are charming and nothing is too much trouble for them.
It warms our hearts to receive such positive feedback! We strive to create a supportive and enriching environment where our residents can thrive.

I started my caring journey as a Care Assistant in a nursing home around eight years ago. I gained experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Night Manager and Home Manager.
I believe to be a Registered Manager of any care home, you need to understand people's skills and strengths at same time as understanding their struggles and needs. My role is to support my team in a way they feel safe and happy to provide the highest standards of care and quality of life to our residents.

The Deputy Home Manager shares responsibility with the Home Manager for running the home. Deputy Managers will each bring their own skill set to the home, some offering more assistance with the business side of things while others focus largely on care. However, whether they look at it from a business or care perspective, the focus of the Deputy is always to ensure that their home is offering the very best quality of life for our residents. Experienced and either holding or working towards their qualifications, Deputy Home Managers are capable and driven to provide the best of everything for their residents.

I started my career in care as a care assistant over 20 years ago. I then gained experience and started working in a number of different roles, including a day senior care assistant, night senior care assistant, wellness coordinator and deputy manager.
I knew from an early age that I wanted to care for older people and help to make a difference to their lives. I think that ensuring our residents are living their best lives is essential, and to be part of that with a like-minded team is very special.
My role as a deputy manager is to support the team to provide the best standard of care to our residents and to ensure every day is as enjoyable as possible for all.

My job as a Hospitality Manager allows me to be creative and effective whilst I manage my team to maintain high standards within the home. Quantum care allows me to enhance my talents whilst enabling me to gain positive relationships with our residents at Riverside Lodge.
