Here, they welcome those in need of residential care, including people living with dementia in need of residential support. The dedicated team is on hand 24-hours a day providing support for residents' individual needs.
The home offers both long-term and respite care. It could be a week to experience living here, a month while recovering from an operation or a more long-term move. Short stays can be booked up to three months in advance. Day care and palliative care are also available.
Sandhills Court has 77 rooms with en-suite bedrooms, four of which can accommodate couples. All fully furnished to a high standard. There are a beauty salon, a well-being salon and a café, as well as modern dining rooms, spacious lounges and a cinema room. It is expertly designed to encourage activity and social interaction amongst residents in a warm, reassuring environment.
Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients. Soon after a resident arrives at the home, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.
From tea dances and lunch clubs to pamper days and movie nights, there’s a varied social calendar at the home. Residents enjoy coming together to take part in activities and try new things.

My mum has been a resident in Rebourne since August 2020, I was aware of the home before she arrived as I had visited several times to see friends. The staff have been fantastic despite their pay, they have my greatest admiration, very few of us could do what they do every day. Mum is well-loved by all and the standard of her care is superb, no one would want to go into a care home by choice but we are both delighted to have found a place here. Special thanks to the exceptional seniors and Mum's long-term carers. Remember, this is a partnership and as the family you must play your part, communication is key. Following a recent few days in hospital, my mum begged the doctors to be returned to Sandhills to die in her own home (what an accolade).

Mum was in Sandhills Court for one month for some respite care after a fall. The welcome was very warm and friendly. She settled in quickly and was very well looked after. All the staff were courteous and caring. Mum developed a bad chest infection, which was monitored and dealt with quickly and...
The only negatives are 1) continuity - far too often, a different carer was on Mum's floor. 2) "Execution" - I asked if someone could help Mum cut her fingernails - it took three requests and one week!

There were times when facilities and housekeeping fell below standards, with laundry being delayed and his room untidy with cardboard boxes and unemptied bins. Problems were rectified but resurfaced. My uncle has limited use of his hand, and the carers help with his electrical devices and controls, ensuring he enjoys his interest in watching sports and listening to music.

My mum has lived at Sandhills Court for the last four and a half years, and during that time, she has received nothing but the best care, love and support from all the staff. We worried as a family at the thought of Mum going into a residential home, but had we known what Sandhills would provide for her and the quality of care she would receive, we needn't of worried. Mum has had fun doing lots of activities over the years and particularly loved Zumba. She has also been spoilt rotten with hot chocolate and cakes, and not forgetting her favourite shortbread biscuits. Mum is coming to the end of her life now, and as a family, we are so pleased she can spend her final days with her adopted care family and with us. Nothing has been too much trouble, and it has been a blessing for us that when we leave her, we know she is safe, happy and loved. Thank you.

This care home has been a breath of air! The staff, whether they be carers, cleaners or kitchen, they have been nothing but kind, caring and helpful. They have truly listened to my grandma and the family and have only ever been helpful. My grandma finally feels safe! Thank you!

Before this, I started out as a trainee chef with the NHS based at Scunthorpe General Hospital, spending 27 years with the trust and becoming the trust catering manager in 2009 covering Scunthorpe Grimsby and Goole hospitals, and was recognised for my role in 2010 by becoming the NHS catering manager of the year.
I have always worked within the care sector, and what I enjoy most about my role is customer interaction - it’s a pleasure to sit with the residents to discuss food or to have a general chat with residents and relatives.

I enjoy working in care services as it's the little things, especially in maintenance, such as hanging a family photo on the wall, changing a light bulb, and sorting a resident's curtains out. The everyday jobs we take for granted, just being able to be the person that can do those things for the residents is what I enjoy the most.
I live in Barton which is 25 minutes away from the home, with my partner, Laura and my 2 teenage sons, Ethan and Tobias. Laura has 2 daughters Evie and Maisie who are 8 and 5, we have them 4 days out of the week, so our house is a healthy split of giggles, barbie dolls and grumpy teens!
