Everyone in the Sid Bailey have been excellent, from the receptionist, who was so welcoming and helpful to every carer that we came into contact with. They not only cared for our relative with respect and the utmost sympathy, and they also looked after all our relatives and us when we visited, offering
drinks and anything we might need. They also kept us informed of our relatives condition.

We took my mother- in -law here for some respite care in June 2025 . She has clearly enjoyed the time she has spent saying she would return any time as the staff have treated her like a family member . Everyone of them have been so kind, friendly and thoroughly cared for her the entire time she stayed.
The meals have been delicious and well presented. Her words were it's felt like being at home . The facilities are like a five star hotel and have been designed well for comfort and an homely feel.We cannot thank the staff and the residents enough for making her feel so welcome.

Mom stayed at Sid Bailey for two weeks, respite and was well looked after. Made quite a few friends, staff included, and is coming back to stay in September while myself and my husband go on holiday knowing mum will be safe and looked after.

My aunt has been here at Sid Bailey now for 8 weeks. The change in her is remarkable in health, mental and attitude etc.
We're so pleased with everyone and everything here. I cannot praise everyone enough, just a huge thank you to everyone, even the atmosphere is so relaxing.

The experience for my mum is generally and often excellent, however on the occasions when they (staff) are not involved in responding to the needs of residents, when alerted by emergency bell, they should take time to talk to residents, especially those who have just joined the home.

My experience has been so positive every time I have visited my dad in the home. The care has been exemplary and nothing is too much trouble. All staff are wonderful. I love that all activities pursued are put on social media as I live in Morecambe and I can see what Dad is up to and see him smiling

My mum has been at Sid Bailey since May 24. She has dementia and has recently had a stroke which has meant that she now needs much more care than before. The home has been amazing at attending to all her needs. Nothing is too much trouble and my concerns are always answered. Her room is beautiful, the
food is lovely and I couldn't wish for Mum to be in a better place. Mum is happy there. I would highly recommend it.

Very welcoming place. Clean, bright and cheerful. Happy and helpful staff. My friend's room is lovely if a little bit impersonal. She hasn't been there long so that could change as she settles in more. The food looked appetising, menu was displayed for everyone to see.

Unfortunately, my experience with this Care home when it comes to looking after residents with dementia, they have all the talk but do not actually know how to treat challenging behaviour. It's a shame because the home is lovely.

I went to see a resident with a friend and we were welcomed and knew where to go and find our friend. Once with her, we were impressed with the loveliness of the care home staff who were smiling, helpful and kind to our friend. We would have made a cuppa but a nurse there made us 3 one and biscuits.
Our friend is adjusting of course and hopefully, she will settle and join in with activities and garden and go for a walk in nice weather. We left feeling reassured she was in a fabulous environment in a lovely room.

You only get one chance to make a good impression and it was my first visit and I was really impressed. Receptionist, helpful and friendly. The home is beautiful. I visited all nursing homes in our area and this is the first class but unfortunately, some people will not be able to afford the experience.

Friendly welcome from the receptionist, and helpful staff. Beautiful decor, spacious ensuite rooms. Wide corridors. Lovely landscaped gardens with chairs, benches and tables. Good sized car park. Very impressed.

I visited a friend of mine at Sid Bailey and thought I was entering a five-star hotel! My friend was so happy, it was lovely to see how well looked after he is. It was also a pleasure to talk to the staff who were all very chatty and helpful, a credit to the home.

I visited an ex-colleague at Sid Bailey and was amazed at the cleanliness and overall look of the building. His room is beautiful and so well equipped, better than many five-star hotels I have seen. Every member of staff that I saw that day were friendly and professional, although I'm not looking at
the moment. If effort in the future, I needed to Sid Bailey would be the first choice.

My dad has been a resident at Sid Bailey for five months. It is a lovely care home with exemplary staff who genuinely care. They look after all my dad's personal needs, he has a lovely clean room, good food and good company. From previous experience, not all care homes are the same. I have found an
excellent one for my dad and it vies me peace of mind knowing he his looked after.

Mum was made welcome from the moment she arrived.
Nothing was too much trouble from all grades of staff.
The bedroom was beautifully decorated and aids were available for my mum's care needs.
The activities coordinator (newly promoted) is obviously passionate about her role.
The food was amazing.
Thank you for everything. We will definitely be using the care home again.

Victoria Alder

Victoria began her career in the care sector while working in a care home kitchen during evenings after college. Despite pursuing a law degree at the University of Derby, her passion for making a difference in people's lives led her back to care, progressing from Care Assistant to Senior Care Assistant. In 2016, she trained as a Care Home Assistant Practitioner, working alongside nurses and earning a nomination for an award. After five years as a Clinical/Care Auditor, Victoria secured her first Registered Manager position. Drawn by the values and high standards at Danforth, she became the General Manager of Sid Bailey, where she strives to create a home-away-from-home experience for residents.

Andrea Cavanagh

Job Title: Front of House Manager Joined: 2023

Andreas’ career started with South Yorkshire Police as a Criminal Investigation Clerk and then moved into retail, working for well-known high street retailers, Debenhams and House of Fraser.
After 20 years in retail, she moved into Recruitment and Training and became an NVQ Assessor.
In her last role she started as a receptionist and then moved into a Head Housekeeper position.
Through the years she has equipped herself with various skills to progress in her career.
Andrea has one daughter and two grandchildren and enjoys a range of sports such as watching football and darts. She has a passion for crown green bowls and has previously played in a women’s crown green bowling team.
