What a fantastic and relaxing place to visit. My mother-in-law has only been here a week and there is already a massive improvement in her health and welfare. The staff are outstanding and can not do enough to keep her entertained and happy.

I was very impressed with Sid Bailey care home; it looks more like a high-class hotel than a residential home. The staff were all very polite and treated the residents with respect and care - they all seemed happy. The home is equipped to very high standards. There is a hairdresser, library, and cinema
on site, plenty of seating areas and outside spaces for the residents. We were shown around and offered tea and coffee. That afternoon they had a singer entertaining the residents.

My aunt has just moved into Sid Bailey and was greeted by friendly staff. Prior to moving in, both my aunt and I were given a warm welcome and shown around this wonderful care home. My aunt was given the option of rooms. She is so happy with her new apartment. All the staff have been so helpful. I know
my aunt will be well cared for and supported to keep her independent as much as possible.

One of my friend's father has just had two weeks respite stay at Sid Bailey Care Home. He has had a fantastic time. So much so has booked to return in June. I had visited many times with my friend to see his father. There are very superb, neat and clean rooms with a high standard of living, the dining
hall, a small library, a cinema etc., The staff have been superb and available as soon as the bell rang; they provided an excellent environment for their guests, like a family gathering in a home. The food was excellent. All staff were very caring and friendly.
Would highly recommend Sid Bailey Care Home.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.804)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.804) out of 10 for Sid Bailey is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 25 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.804 for Sid Bailey is calculated as follows: ( (242 Excellents x 5) + (28 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (7 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 280 Ratings = 4.804
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Sid Bailey is based on 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2024

I began my career in the care sector while working in a care home kitchen during evenings after college. Despite pursuing a law degree at the University of Derby, my passion for making a difference in people's lives led me back to care, progressing from Care Assistant to Senior Care Assistant.

In 2016, I trained as a Care Home Assistant Practitioner, working alongside nurses and earning a nomination for an award. After five years as a Clinical/Care Auditor, I secured my first Registered Manager position.

Drawn by the values and high standards at Care UK, I became the General Manager of Sid Bailey, where I strive to create a home-away-from-home experience for residents.
