My dad has been a resident at Sid Bailey for five months. It is a lovely care home with exemplary staff who genuinely care. They look after all my dad's personal needs, he has a lovely clean room, good food and good company. From previous experience, not all care homes are the same. I have found an
excellent one for my dad and it vies me peace of mind knowing he his looked after.

Mum was made welcome from the moment she arrived.
Nothing was too much trouble from all grades of staff.
The bedroom was beautifully decorated and aids were available for my mum's care needs.
The activities coordinator (newly promoted) is obviously passionate about her role.
The food was amazing.
Thank you for everything. We will definitely be using the care home again.

Mum was so happy here. The rooms and all surroundings are so clean and modern. Mum stayed two weeks and once she got back home she asked if she could move in permanently soon! Always enjoyed visited, lovely staff. Meals were a little repetitive.

The care home is absolutely beautiful, with lovely furnishings. Staff were attentive and on hand with all residents, atmosphere was light and jovial. We had just missed lunch being served, however, it smelt divine. The management, who we spoke to, were kind and considerate and had knowledge of questions

My mum and dad have been in Sid Bailey a month. The home is five star luxury and has a real homely atmosphere. All staff, from the management down, are extremely professional in all matters and are always approachable. The level of care provided is exemplary and their needs are met.
Their room is always
immaculate. The food is first class and activities are arranged regularly. I would like to thank the manager and her team for putting my mind at ease, knowing my mum and dad are well cared for. I would highly recommend Sid Bailey to any future service users. Thank you for doing an amazing job.

We had a crisis situation where my father-in-law became ill and immobile, I contacted the home and the manager arranged to visit him at home to assess his needs and eligibility for having respite care in a residential home. The manager was both knowledgeable and empathetic to the whole family including
his wife. Documentation was completed fast and arrangements were made for him to come to stay at the home. On arrival he was met by the care team who attended to his needs, we are now four weeks along he has decided that he wants to stay at the home permanently so further arrangements have been made. Throughout our journey, the whole team including the manager have treated us with respect and nothing has been too much trouble.

What an amazing place! The care and attention given to my sister is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, the staff are extremely professional and caring. Her condition has improved dramatically since she has been living at Sid Bailey. It was lovely to see how the staff interacted with the residents,

I was very impressed with Sid Bailey care home; it looks more like a high-class hotel than a residential home. The staff were all very polite and treated the residents with respect and care - they all seemed happy. The home is equipped to very high standards. There is a hairdresser, library, and cinema
on site, plenty of seating areas and outside spaces for the residents. We were shown around and offered tea and coffee. That afternoon they had a singer entertaining the residents.

Victoria Alder

Job Title: Care Home Manager Joined: 2024

Victoria began her career in the care sector while working in a care home kitchen during evenings after college. Despite pursuing a law degree at the University of Derby, her passion for making a difference in people's lives led her back to care, progressing from Care Assistant to Senior Care Assistant. In 2016, she trained as a Care Home Assistant Practitioner, working alongside nurses and earning a nomination for an award. After five years as a Clinical/Care Auditor, Victoria secured her first Registered Manager position. Drawn by the values and high standards at Danforth, she became the General Manager of Sid Bailey, where she strives to create a home-away-from-home experience for residents.

Andrea Cavanagh

Job Title: Front of House Manager Joined: 2023

Andreas’ career started with South Yorkshire Police as a Criminal Investigation Clerk and then moved into retail, working for well-known high street retailers, Debenhams and House of Fraser.
After 20 years in retail, she moved into Recruitment and Training and became an NVQ Assessor.
In her last role she started as a receptionist and then moved into a Head Housekeeper position.
Through the years she has equipped herself with various skills to progress in her career.
Andrea has one daughter and two grandchildren and enjoys a range of sports such as watching football and darts. She has a passion for crown green bowls and has previously played in a women’s crown green bowling team.
She is excited to be working for Danforth Care Homes and looks forward to the opening of the Sid Bailey Care Home.
