Every member of staff treats my mother with kindness, patience and compassion. The activities are varied, the management team know the residents individually and they tailor the care to suit the individuals.

I would recommend Thorpe Wood to anyone, it is an exceptional care home.

My experiences of the care provided span over an eight months period from March 2019 to date. Over this time, I have seen a small turnover of staff, those carers who don't make the grade, don't last long at Thorpe Wood. The standards required here are very high, as they should be in any care home. I have got to know many of the staff and I am always thankful that they provide the best possible care. My lovely mother-in-law is as happy as she ever will be, now that she can no longer stay in her own home.

My experience with Thorpe Wood was absolutely amazing! I cannot find fault with anything at all. The manager, secretary, carers, chef and activities lady were all really, really lovely! They supported my mum and me during my mum's transition from being at home to being in a home! It's just sad that my mum's care needs have altered and now requires nursing care so she has now been moved.

I am really impressed by the care my husband is receiving in Thorpe Wood. The building is extremely well designed with a very well tended and interesting garden which all the residents seem to enjoy. The carers themselves are extraordinarily kind, thoughtful and always on hand to give help. The meals are varied and interesting with a choice of dining area. All in all, I cannot find anything to criticise.

I am impressed by the care my sister is receiving, the staff are very friendly and caring both to the residents and their families. My sister loves the beautifully designed garden especially all the animals. Although the home is newly built it has a lovely homely feeling.

The 'zoo' in the garden is proving popular with residents and visitors.

We are so glad to have moved our mother to Thorpe Wood care home. It offers the sort of welcome and comfort you would expect in a five star 'all inclusive' hotel. Every aspect of care has been carefully addressed and I honestly cannot find anything to fault. I am an experienced nurse with a considerable number of jobs looking after the needs and integrity of elderly people. It is such a happy team with experienced activity co-ordinators and a lovely atmosphere and beautiful south facing garden.

Since moving to Thorpe Wood in February, my father has settled in very quickly.
This is due to the kindness and exceptionally good care given by the staff and led well by the home manager.
The facilities are excellent, the food very good, the home has a lovely friendly atmosphere with lots of activities provided.
I am delighted with how happy and content my father is.
It is a pleasure to visit Thorpe Wood and I am always made to feel so welcome.

I cannot fault the care given to my father by all the staff at Thorpe Wood.

Thank you for your lovely review.
It was great to hear how pleased you are with your father’s care. We know it can be a little daunting for the resident, and for the family, moving to a new home. Our approach is to make this a smooth transition by involving them with activities and encouraging them to make new friends with others.

I will pass on to the team your kind words.
