Where do I begin to express how amazing and hard-working all the staff are at Trecelyn! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. My grandmother enjoyed her precious last 2.5yrs here where the staff made her feel safe, respected and loved. I will always be indebted to them for the way they supported me and
my family during our loss, and continue to do so. Trecelyn is blessed to have such a passionate manager who truly cares about the welfare and experience of her residents, I know this because she is my mother and I see her hard work every day. Well done all and most importantly "thank you for everything!"
Reply from Mohammad Ali, Owner at Trecelyn-CourtDanielle, thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a beautiful review.

A big thank you to Karen and the team for making our mothers last year of life a pleasurable and uplifting experience. Our mother suffered with dementia but the daily activities from karaoke to bingo to sing songs to party games kept her mind and body very active up to the end . She was known
as Peg the leg and was first up dancing albeit on her zimmer frame .... a true dancing queen of 95 years
She thought she was in a 5 star hotel in Spain and often commented on how nice the staff were !
She got the 5 star hotel bit right and we cannot praise the staff enough for their compassion and kindness . The level of care was excellent and was a joy to behold . We , like most siblings were unsure when choosing a nursing home but we were extremely lucky to find a real gem in Trecelyn Court which was more than we could have ever wished for in a nursing home .

Again thanks for everything

Reply from Mohammad Ali, Owner at Trecelyn-CourtThank you so much for taking the time to share such a beautiful and touching review.
It was truly an honour and a privilege to care for your mother. She brought joy, laughter, and life into the home, and she will always be remembered fondly by our team. "Peg the Leg" and her wonderful dancing spirit - even with her zimmer frame - left a lasting impression on everyone. A true Dancing Queen indeed.
We are deeply grateful for your kind words about Karen and the entire team. Knowing that the activities, care, and compassion helped keep your mother engaged, happy, and feeling so well cared for means everything to us. Hearing that she felt she was in a five-star hotel in Spain brought many smiles - and we are glad she felt the warmth and kindness of our staff every day.
Choosing a nursing home is never easy, and we are humbled that you trusted us with your mother's care. Your appreciation reaffirms our commitment to treating every resident with dignity, respect, and genuine kindness.7

My mum became a resident of Trecelyn Court in January this year, prior to this she lived independently in her own home. It was a big transition for my mum, who is suffering from dementia and is a high falls risk, so living alone became impossible. My mum was understandably anxious about the move, but
upon arriving, she settled immediately and now is thriving amongst residents who have become good friends and carers who genuinely treat my mum like part of their family. The staff are all so lovely and are always so friendly towards family when we visit. The management have been amazing too, working with family to make my mums life as safe and comfortable as is possible for her. She is treated with the utmost respect and compassion by all that look after her each day. They have not only transformed my mums life where she is safe and cared for every day, but also the lives of myself and close family who can relax knowing mum is happy, safe and loved in her final years.

Treated with the utmost respect and dignity, my aunt enjoyed the last three years of her long and fulfilled life cared for by a very special, skilful team at Trecelyn Court.

Adapting to a new environment and routines was undoubtedly a challenge for my aunt who had been fiercely independent and proud.

However, the staff at Trecelyn quickly identified her needs and responded very positively to her strong character, individuality and great sense of humour!

Whilst visiting, family and friends were always assured that my aunt was content and comfortable; she would often announce that she was staying in "the best hotel in Wales"!
She always spoke highly of the staff recognising their kindness and friendliness.

We will always be most grateful that our dear aunt was in the safest of hands, treated with fondness and kindness.

With heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone at Trecelyn Court who made a residence a special home.

Total neglect to my father-in-law. Post-COVID after suffering chest infection, sepsis, dehydration on arrival to hospital after two days before being admitted two senior carers were asked by myself for doctor to be called. No was the response, my father-in-law is clinically well. The following morning
he gets admitted to hospital with the above diagnosis. Absolutely totally neglected. Also got a photo very big blister on heel and I was told his feet were fine.
Reply from Mohammad Ali, Owner at Trecelyn-CourtDear Lynda, I am truly sorry for your loss. I understand that your father-in-law was in the hospital for eight days before his passing. You raised a safeguarding concern regarding the care at Trycelyn Court, and I want to inform you that a thorough and full investigation was conducted by Care Inspectorate Wales and Caerphilly Social Services. The outcome of the safeguarding process found the concerns to be unsubstantiated, and no neglect was identified.

My mother has been a resident at Trecelyn Court for a little over 2 years now and I must say that it has been a blessing. Before going into the home mother was forever in and out of hospital either for some sort of infection, virus or on many occasions as a result of a fall, but touch wood she hasn't
been admitted to hospital for the past 2 years. A lot of this is simply to do with the excellent care provided at Trecelyn Court. All staff have been excellent and deserved a medal but a special thanks go to four staff members in particular.
I certainly know how much of a hand full my mother can be at times, so I do sympathise with you all.
Thanks for the continuous hard work and care.

My mother has Parkinson's. She was in her own flat but was vulnerable. She had sustained many falls requiring admission to the hospital. She could no longer cope at home because of her mobility issues. She could no longer manage her medications, for multiple medical conditions. Since moving into Trecelyn,
she has had 24-hour support from wonderful, caring and supportive staff. As a family, we are grateful that she is well cared for. We no longer worry about her falling and not being in control of her medication. Her room is en suite. It is always clean and tidy. She can socialise in communal areas if she wishes. If she is having a bad day, she is allowed to rest in her room. When we visit her now, we can socialize and reconnect, rather than worry and stress. She tells me frequently how lovely and kind the staff are. Believe me, she would be the first to say if they were not. From my own perspective, the staff are welcoming, courteous and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
Reply from Mohammad Ali, Owner at Trecelyn-CourtThank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're so glad to hear that your mother is receiving the care and support she needs at Trecelyn. Mum had been determinedly independent all her life but issues related to her dementia meant the time had come to move and as a family, we agree the move to Trecelyn-Court is the best decision we have made. The welcome Mum received from day one has also been outstanding, the food and the care she has
received has been fantastic. Dignity and self-worth is promoted on a daily basis with activities to stimulate and engage being provided daily. Individual interests are encouraged as well as promoting group activities. Mum has had a number of medical issues in recent months but the professionalism of the staff ensured that prompt intervention was sought and that following stays in hospital has returned to the loving care of Trecelyn. All staff work tirelessly to provide a clean, welcoming and stimulating environment for all residents. I would have no difficulty in recommending Trecelyn to anyone needing to make a very difficult decision in moving to a supported environment.
