My grandmother moved into the home in December 2017, I found the service to be amazing, such a welcoming reception, all very positive, nothing is to much trouble. staff are professional and my grandmother is thriving in the homely environment.

Ward Green Lodge is an excellent home which has provided fantastic care to my auntie for over two years. The staff are very kind and caring but also very professional and efficient in everything they do. The rooms are "hotel standard" with excellent facilities. The food is good and my auntie enjoys her meals.

Friend went into Ward Green Lodge 1st March 2016. She has been very well looked after, the food is good. All the staff are very friendly and helpful both to the residents and to family, they will help whenever they can. There is entertainment regularly. We couldn't wish for a nicer place for her to stay.

I would definitely recommend Ward Green Lodge to anyone needing somewhere for their loved one, They are treated with respect and individuality.

A very good care home. Staff are kind, caring and couldn't be better. The management are both lovely and friendly. I feel and know I can confide in them about anything I wish to discuss. My son is very happy that I am safe, cared for and very very happy here, couldn't be better.

A first class care home with first class staff. A very approachable caring manager and a helpful knowledgeable business manager. Our mum was cared for, loved and treated with dignity. Nothing was too much, even at difficult times, they never took the smiles off their faces. They (everyone) not only looked after mum but supported our family too.

I find that the staff on the dementia side very good. The care that my partner received is very reassuring. All staff are very friendly and helpful and all do a good job.

My aunt was unable to care for herself due to health issues and age (96). The care received has been exceptional, particularly during the last few weeks with 'end of life' care. All of the team became friends. They are beautiful people and so very dedicated, We can't thank them enough.

My mum spent only a few weeks at Ward Green Lodge in and out of hospital I know her short time here was happy, she settled in very quickly due to the care and the homely surroundings. I made sure she was in the home in her last days. As I was unfortunately away at the time but my two daughters were there in her last days. They couldn't praise the staff enough for the care mum got, and for the support, they got at this difficult time. I will be forever grateful keep up the good work.

The care given to my father-in-law has been exceptional. the staff are thoroughly professional and caring. The care is extended to family and friends of the resident during difficult times. The rooms are suitably furnished and always clean and the home provides a comfortable and welcoming environment. The food is also of a very high standard. I have no reservations about recommending this home in a time when we frequently hear about poor standards in care homes. I believe that Ward Green Lodge sets the standard of excellence.

Ward Green Lodge Barnsley have looked after my father brilliantly, all the staff are caring and treat their residents like they were their own. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart. Thank you very much for all of your care and attention.

After visiting Ward Green Lodge unannounced to view a room for my uncle I knew I had found the right place for him. The care that Ward Green Lodge has given to him is amazing. He was on end of life care and nothing was more important to the team than providing the best care possible, including the management team. The care home is every bit a "home" for residents as well as their relatives.

Mum was admitted to Ward Green Lodge in March 2016 and in August 2016 discharged to live independently at home. The care provided by the whole staff team was excellent. They enabled mum to make choices about her care, listening and speaking with respect at all times. Provided a choice of nutritious and appetising meals, offering personal choice if nothing was suitable, reviewed medication. Respected peoples privacy in personal care supported our family too. Excellent provider of dignity.

I cannot praise the staff enough at Ward Green Lodge, they are all very friendly, professional and caring and took excellent care of my elderly cousin when he was at the end of his life, going above and beyond what was expected. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who ensured we were all well looked after.

The facilities at the home are second to none with beautiful gardens, TV rooms, lounges, and well specified en suite rooms. The meals provided looked very good and the home in general was kept clean and tidy.

I would like to pass on my personal thanks to everyone who looked after my cousin so well and for looking after the family in his last hours.

Mum was very happy in Ward Green until flaws started to show so mum was moved. Not once did the owner contact me as to the reason why. Not good management. Mum is now very happy and well cared for and loved. This review is based on why I moved mum.
