Sherwood House is a 32 bed care home specialising in caring for those with a range of Dementia. The home has been furnished to a high standard to create an environment which is bright, warm and welcoming and gives plenty of space for residents to safely explore their surroundings. Families and friends can visit at any time in a safe and comfortable home.

Their Dementia Therapeutic Practitioners' purpose is to make each day an enjoyable one for all residents. Their daily activities are designed to stimulate and provided entertainment. Reminiscence items and pictures together with memorabilia from their era are in place throughout the Home.

I couldn't ask for a better care home, than Sherwood House to look after my mum.
It's clean, the food is excellent and the staff are amazing, friendly and caring.
I am kept fully up to date with any concerns about my mum.
The in-house activities and entertainment are second to none, residents are
encouraged to get involved, but it is their own choice, whether they choose to or not.
I'm very impressed with the amount of daily activities there are, and families are able to see their loved ones, taking part with daily updates and pictures on the care home messaging group.
Residents are made to feel extra special on their birthdays, with the chef baking them an individual birthday cake with candles. I would 100% recommend Sherwood House, it is such a relief knowing your loved one is in a safe and caring environment.

Even though I do not regularly visit the home I take considerable comfort in knowing that my cousin is very well looked after at Sherwood House. Communication is excellent and I am kept up to date with very regular images of the residents and their activities. It fills me with confidence knowing that
beyond their personal care, they are constantly challenged with games, music and exercise that contribute to their enjoyment, health, mental agility and general well-being.
My personal observation reveals a very well-run home by an exceptional team across the board. Everyone there is welcoming, friendly, caring and attentive. Best of all my cousin agrees first hand that he is very happy and content being there.

My mother has been a resident at Sherwood House since April 2023, she continues to receive excellent care from the team. It puts my mind at ease knowing that she is well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble for them they are very kind caring people at Sherwood House.

My mum has been a resident in Sherwood House for over two years now and in all that time I have never had any reason to complain. The staff go above and beyond to make my mum's life as fulfilled as possible.
The activities on offer are amazing and unlike other care homes, they are on offer seven days
a week. The interaction Mum receives is amazing.
The food is fabulous, always a varied menu.
I live in Wiltshire and visit Mum every Tuesday. I take her out every time and when we get back Mum is always happy to go home, which is a great comfort to me as I know she feels settled and happy.

My cousin arrived at Sherwood House in January and was warmly welcomed by the staff. He settled in very quickly and has been cared for and supported fantastically.
Staff are always around and on hand, they are so friendly and demonstrate a high level of professionalism. The facilities are great, and
activities are available for those who wish to take part.
I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone.

My long-term friend who was suffering from Parkinson's disease and dementia went into Sherwood House in March 2023. Since that date, she has settled in well. The staff are the most caring and provide activities which stimulate the residents every day. My friend is very happy and chats with the other
residents. The food is amazing. We can visit her any time and are always made welcome. I know she is safe and well cared for in Sherwood House which gives me peace of mind and has given my friend a better quality of life. I would recommend Sherwood House to everyone as a top-rate care home.

We are very satisfied with Sherwood House as a care home.
The food is very good, with lovely themed meals & decorations for special occasions.
All staff are professional, helpful & very kind. There is a great programme of activities for residents to join in when they want to.
Rooms & shared areas
are always clean.
Medication is administered & we are kept up-to-date with any issues or changes.
Our father is happy, well-settled & very well looked after there.

Excellent care home. The carers really do care; the food is wonderful; varied and interesting entertainment is provided for the residents; the home keeps in touch well with relatives.

I visited my friend. At the time she was sitting and chatting with another resident and I joined them. In the course of their conversation, one said to the other, “I am happy here”. The reply came back “Yes I am too, we have lots of fun, don’t we!”. What better review can there be, than from the residents
themselves. I am so impressed by the fact that there is always some activity to stimulate and occupy the mind. The staff are attentive and caring. The food is amazing. Family and friends can be assured that their loved ones are safe in the best alternative to home. Sherwood House is a top rate care home.

My dad suffers with dementia and needs full time care and has now been a resident at Sherwood House for several months. The staff are amazing, very caring and professional. They do their upmost to involve all the residents and families in the various activities that they provide throughout the day and
the food is exceptional. The managers are very helpful and transparent and keep us well informed of all my dad's needs. Overall very pleased with level of care he receives, an excellent care home. A big thank you to all the staff for all you do for him.

As per usual the staff go above and beyond for the residents, the meals are first class, social activities are held every day for everyone, the summer fete/barbecue was well supported and looking forward to the pantomime in December. Overall a pleasant, caring home.

When looking for care for our beloved grandmother we visited numerous care homes, we were looking for respite care. We visited Sherwood House and knew from the moment we walked in that it was the home we wanted her to go to. Staff were very inviting and we could see the passion they have for their jobs.
The residents were all happy and chatty. There were numerous activities going on, which we liked, nobody was just sat around. We were pleasantly surprised by the food on offer and even got a taste of the cake. My grandmother's room was lovely, spacious and just what we needed. For extra peace of mind they installed a sensor mat as she is a wanderer at night. Honestly couldn't fault Sherwood staff at all. Added bonus we could still keep up to date with what our grandmother was doing daily with the family social media group, which we loved seeing photos and videos of her getting involved. I was also able to message the lovely team leader if I had any questions. From the start she has been a godsend. Thank you.

The care Sherwood House gives for dementia care is absolutely brilliant. But I feel that the end of life care knowledge could be a lot better. I feel the families aren't taken into account by managers. But the care staff, kitchen staff, housekeeping and activity ladies are absolutely amazing. I cannot
fault them at all. We just felt at the end stage we weren't listened to by higher up. But the home for dementia is absolutely astounding. My loved one felt wanted, cared for and all their needs were met.

The reason that we chose Sherwood House was firstly a recommendation and then their social media page. The residents looked happy and the food looked amazing. When you are looking for a care home for your loved one, the important thing is transparency. At Sherwood House, they do not insist that you
prewarn them of your visit and if you happen to be passing you can just call in. The bedroom doors are decorated to look like front doors which is a thoughtful touch, with a photograph of the resident so that there is no mistaking their own room in cases of dementia. The rooms are comfortable and homely and appropriately priced. The staff make an unbelievable effort to keep residents occupied and entertained and they send regular updates and photographs. The staff include you to feel part of the family and you are always made to feel welcome on your visits and encouraged to join in with parties and gatherings with family and friends. Our only regret was that we didn’t find this home sooner!

A lovely care home. Mum has only been in a few days, but we get regular updates, and to see her improvement is wonderful. To know she is safe and being looked after by a great team with caring staff is a huge comfort.

Care and consideration in all departments do not have a bad word to say about the care my wife receives. The home is kept clean and fresh at all times by a dedicated staff. Food is of a very highest standard. Activities are plentiful and varied to all resident's needs.
