Very attentive and caring staff, making my Grandad feel right at ‘home’. Even as visitors you’re made to feel welcome, and we always get offered food and drink. Happy to recommend to anyone, thank you for making him feel comfortable.

Overall Experience
Our mum was transferred from hospital to West Hill Care Home in September 2021 following a severe stroke.
As a family, we were initially apprehensive about her going into a care home but after our first visit, our fears were allayed.
All of the staff, no matter what their role, have shown genuine compassion for both Mum and the family and treats Mum with the utmost respect and tenderness whilst maintaining her dignity as she is completely dependent for all her care and nursing needs.
The facilities are always immaculately presented and Mum's room and bedding are always spotless and Mum is kept in clean and appropriate clothing at all times.
We are always made very welcome and our interactions with all staff have been extremely positive.
We are kept informed of Mum's condition and couldn’t ask for a better environment for her to be cared for in.

Thank you to all, it makes a very difficult situation so much easier to deal with as a family.

My husband has just spent a week of respite in this beautiful, well-run care home. His care was of the very best with friendly and efficient staff and food of the highest standard. My husband said he felt as if he was on holiday in a first-class hotel. My thanks to them all.

My dear friend of over 70 years of friendship, after four months at home needing 24-hour care, came in for three weeks respite and decided it would be fair for her family if she, having been so impressed by her care, should return as a permanent resident. As a constant visitor, I am impressed with her care and all that I see.

Overall Experience

My mother-in-law came to West Hill Care Home from hospital for a CHC assessment. The care home management and staff ensured that her treatment was first class and she was treated with the utmost kindness and respect. During her stay, it was her 99th Birthday and the staff arranged a cake for her and made it a special occasion for her and a wonderful memory for my wife and I. Sadly she passed away before a decision was made on her ongoing care, which was not the outcome we all wanted, but the knowledge that she was safe and well cared for in her final weeks is a comfort to all her family.

Reply from Artur Adamski, Home Manager at West Hill Care Home

Please accept my sincerest condolences and I am glad we could make the last weeks comfortable for both her and your family. Thank you for leaving a lovely review in these sad times, I will make sure this is passed to the home and staff. Many thanks.

Lovely inside, everywhere. Very friendly and helpful staff. All of them welcomed my mum and us on her first day. Mum loves it, she says it's better than any hotel she has been to. All of that makes the rest of the family very happy. We are glad she is in good hands. Great place to stay and visit.

My mum came to West Hill Care Home from hospital. She really didn’t want to go into a care home. But after being there a couple of days said she loved it there and didn’t want to go home. My mother also said how everyone is so friendly, kind and helpful and have made her feel so welcomed.

As her daughter, I can also say how friendly and helpful all the staff are. It’s like Mum is staying in a 5* hotel.

I cannot fault anything!

My mother and father in law came to the home in July for a short stay to try the home. They have loved the care and attention that they are receiving from the great team. Daily activities and the interaction with other residents has put a new spring in their step! The team at West Hill Care Home could not do more for them and they have felt so welcome they have decided to stay on! We get to see them every day and loved the family barbecue day! It was nice to see them having such fun! The facilities are excellent, including jacuzzi baths it feels more like a luxury hotel. Thank you so much West Hill care home.

I have been rather impressed with the quality of respite care provided to my father at the lovely care home by the highly experienced carers. There is nothing that is too much for them and they're always happy to assist. The level of personal care provided to my father has been excellent - he seems to be walking lots more, eating better, and generally looks healthier. The most important thing is that I know he is safe, happy and in great hands.

I have been extremely happy with the experience both me and my father has had so far with all the staff at West Hill Care home. The manager and his team of carers has made my father feel very comfortable and safe during his respite care here. I would recommend this home to family and friends looking for a well kept, friendly and inviting facility to care for their loved ones. I am very impressed with the personal care and consideration given to my father.

Mum has recently moved into this lovely new home, the whole process was very smooth and efficient. All the care team and management have been amazing at helping her settle in and keeping her entertained. The facilities are excellent, including a salon and cinema. Rooms are a very good size and standard with private bathroom, lovely terrace area to sit out side. very pleased that she will be getting the best possible care and this time of her life.

Mum came into Care home 14th June for a 4-week trial, she is very happy and has decided to stay. Staff are kind and very caring, they feel like friends. The care home is like a 5-star hotel with hairdressers and a beauty room, also a cinema room. We could not have found a better home for Mum. I visit most days and I am always made very welcome and all staff are happy and chatty.

The staff in this beautifully decorated new care home are looking after my mother since she found it too difficult to cope with long periods on her own.
She seems very happy there, and the staff are friendly and very helpful.

The home has an attractive outdoor courtyard, which is lovely when the sun is out.
