My mother continues to be very happy in York Manor Care Home. She is always very clean & very well presented. She enjoys her meals & snacks very much & is very well looked after

As my mother in laws health has declined over the past two months we have been kept fully informed about the decisions that needed to be made. The staff are kept up to date on each shift to ensure that her care is continued. She is checked on very regularly by staff that treat her with the utmost kindness, compassion and ensuring that her dignity is kept. All staff have been informed of her dietary needs and keep to the requirements at all times. Whenever we visit her room is clean and tidy. All the staff are friendly and approachable whatever their role. All in all we couldn't wish for any-thing more,

My parents came to live at York Manor in May and the staff are excellent. So friendly, understanding and caring. They have made both myself and my parents so welcome. I am so glad that I chose York Manor for them to stay in. So far I have no complaints and would definitely recommend the home to others.

The care and dignity that my father received from York Manor was unexpected. My preconceptions of nursing homes had been influenced by negative press to be honest. It was a very difficult decision for me to make,so my first impression was obviously the appearance of the place and the approachability of the staff. I have absolutely no negative issues with York Manor quite the opposite, the nursing staff went over and above the call of duty when looking after my father and the management looked after me when my father was coming to the end of his life. There are no words that can express my gratitude. Dad was looked after and as a result my own health improved. Thank you York Manor my family and I truly appreciate your care.

Dad has been at York Manor for about a month. I am so grateful for the time the staff have taken to get to know him and me and the care they show. Dad took a little while to settle but the staff and management went out their way to help. I visit almost every day and am consistently impressed with the way the staff interact with the residents and the good atmosphere in the home. It is also always clean and welcoming. Thanks so much team, I am incredibly grateful to you all.

Finding a care home is extremely stressful. I've rated York Manor as good because of the short time we have been in partnership with them. Initial teething problems around communication have been dealt with. I questioned how effective handovers between shifts/carers was. Front of house are excellent and a great asset to the home. As the relationship builds I am hopeful my rating would increase to excellent. The foundation is looking good. My loved one is welll looked after and we as a family are happy with how her care is progressing. Thank you.

Staff are hardworking , dedicated and vey kind/understanding to the residents. Main issue at times there was lack of staff which impacted the care due to existing staff being overstretched but it has improved by the time we left the home.

York Manor is a good place to bem I was very happy with his care.

Very happy with the overall care of my dad. Rooms are very comfortable with a big ensuite. The food is extremely good and plentiful. The staff are really pleasant and caring. There are a couple of concerns, I have regarding his appearance. Occasionally he looks unkept to the point of scruffy. Dirty clothes and not clean.

My mum settled in straight away at York Manor. The staff are very caring and helpful. Her room is always clean and tidy as are all her clothes. The care home itself is ideal for a lovely visiting experience. There are numerous sitting rooms which are beautifully furnished where you can spend time as a family. Reception are very good at relaying information via email or telephone which leads to good communication.

My mother was one of the first few residents at York Manor when it opened and we have been delighted by the care and quality of staff from the beginning. I am especially grateful to the chef for making sure my mom has nice vegetarian meals, and has even cooked some of Mom's own recipes for her. I also appreciate the range of activities, and how they listen to families about ways they can arrange more relevant activities, or try new things. The decor is lovely and well designed. The rooms have just enough space, but also feel cosy. Overall we are very pleased with her care, and know this is the right place for her to be.

My visits to my stepdad have shown me what a great facility this is, a proper home from home. The staff are superb, caring but efficient too. It's an excellent home for my stepdad, I know he's content here.

Overhaul care of high standard.

I now don't understand what I was worrying about. The staff are all brilliant. They pay attention to everyone. My man didn't settle immediately and they checked on him, coaxed him, introduced him to other residents, fed him, I was happy to entrust him to their care. They even watch out for me and my bad moments and talk me through them. I wasn't expecting that, or the total professionalism, cleanliness, constant attention to everyone, I'm amazed, I don't know how they do it!

My father became a resident in August '25. The staff have not only been helpful to us as a family but have been really supportive to us all. They've listened and been genuinely caring when we're still going through this initial major change. My father has settled in well and has become less anxious than he was previously. Every member of staff is approachable to both family members and of course my father. Thank you for easing a very difficult situation for us!

I would strongly recommend York Manor for your loved one.

After a bad experience trying to settle Mum into a care home, we were concerned about how a move to York Manor Care Home would work but we needn't have worried. The staff made it so easy with their welcoming and friendly attitude. They are always on hand to offer advice and make us feel like part of the community too. The home is clean and well designed. Mum's room is very nice and and she can access the garden whenever she likes. In Mum's own words, "It's wonderful here. The food is great, and the people that work here are very caring. It's a lovely community. I don't need to do anything if I don't want to but there's always lots of things to do if you fancy it."
