My father really enjoys his weekly day at Holmfield day centre. All the staff are caring and patient and keep him busy with lots of varied activities. My father has never made a handmade birthday card before but he has now! I would highly recommend this day centre.

Everyone went above and beyond for my cousin. The staff and management are thoughtful and kind to all. I would visit my cousin at the day centre and I had so much fun I would stay for hours.

This day centre provides the most outstanding care for their service users. The staff have a really caring nature, and the environment is perfect. They are incredibly compassionate, and knowledgeable. Everyday that I have visited had been a really positive experience for myself and the service users.
The activities that the service users do are really engaging, and keeps them entertained throughout the day. At this day centre, I can assure that the service users are in good hands at all times, and I highly recommend their welcoming environment to anyone who is looking for quality care and support for their loved ones.

I really liked visiting here the staff are very lovely and lively and they made sure all of the residents needs were met only visiting for the first three days and already love it here I really really recommend it here if you have any family members that could need the care because its all here for

The staff at Holmfield are caring and welcoming and they make the environment fun and playful for all the service users. My friend attends Holmfield Day Centre three days a week, she wishes she could attend every day! She thoroughly enjoys her time spent here and constantly talks about going on her next visit. She enjoys every aspect, from looking out the window to see if her taxi has arrived, to spending the day with
her friends chatting, with and the lovely staff who organise activities and meals etc. When she isn't at the Day Centre, it is constantly on her mind and she counts the days until she attends the next time. She feels safe and well cared for when there. I would definitely recommend Holmfield Day Centre.

I was a little dubious at first as my uncle has vascular dementia. He can at times be difficult and has delusions and hallucinations. Fears allayed. The staff are kind, experienced, knowledgeable and he has settled so well that we have increased his days. As a dementia nurse myself, I have no complaints
and look forward to a long lasting relationship.

My husband is a lively sociable and active man who was a headteacher and gifted sportsman. Finding a daycare centre for him that catered for his needs (Alzheimer's and vascular dementia) has not been easy but Holmfield is the one that does the job! He loves going there and we travel quite a distance
to get him there! He loves all the staff because they know him and give him the attention he needs! They are always welcoming and full of fun! The centre is warm, well used and has a super atmosphere! It's a great place and I know he is well cared for!

After visiting Holmfield Day Centre, I was amazed by the enthusiasm of the staff and how they interacted with the residents, if they weren't making tea/coffee for residents they were doing activities with the residents, everyone was welcome as a friend and at Holmfield they're definitely a family! The staff are very friendly and very professional at Holmfield. They work hard and communicate with my mum who has severe dementia. The centre provides essential respite care for my mum which benefits my dad considerably. It's is very reassuring to know my mum is being looked after and is safe.
The
only area of improvement that comes to mind is that I'd like to know what my mam eats and drinks during the day and I'd like to know what activities she does.

My dad started going to Holmfield twice a week in October last year and now goes every day. He loves it and calls it 'his group'. He thoroughly enjoys taking part in all the activities, especially the singing! Duty of care and trust are high priorities and I am confident that my dad is in good hands.
The manager is excellent - she gives me feedback on how Dad is getting on which I find very reassuring as living far away I'm not able to visit so often. Holmfield is a blessing at a challenging point in our lives - our heartfelt thanks go out to the manager and her team for providing a safe and caring environment.

During the last few weeks after my wife came out of Covid it's been quite challenging for me as my wife took a turn for the worse and started the next stage of her dementia journey by refusing to open her mouth for solid food intake
However, two carers in particular have given me so much help and positive
advice to take in and my wife now seems to be improving again.
I can't thank these 2 members of staff enough for all the help they have given my wife and the advice they have given to me.

He enjoys going, a big smile on arriving and is full of praise when leaving.

My mum is now living alone and really enjoys being a daycare user at Holmfield in Leicester. This centre is extremely well set up and above all the staff are kind and really enjoy their job. In fact, when I have visited I would go as far as to say this is not a job for them. Dementia can strike anyone
- and to be honest, can be a little frightening to those who watch the changes in their loved ones. This is where a specialised dementia care centre like Holmfield really serves two roles. My mum loves attending, making new friends, eating and all the activities. For me, as the only son, I know she is in a good place there and I am relieved. Too many of our elderly are left alone in their homes. God bless Holmfield staff and all users! Please don't close down.

Well, what can I say! Holmfield Day Care Centre is absolutely amazing! Mum goes once a week, sometimes twice a week and every time we pick her up she has really enjoyed herself and is very chatty! Mum has Alzheimer's and Holmfield is geared up to take care of her needs. The staff are fully trained and
we never have any concerns about leaving Mum there. When I drop her off in the morning, she's quite happy to go in, especially when she gets told there's a cup of tea waiting for her! She is entertained all day with different activities and enjoys her meals there. I have recommended Holmfield to others and wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

My dad has attended Holmfield for 2 years, he has great care and it keeps him occupied and cared for safely whilst I work. He does lots of activities and gets a lovely hot meal every day. The carers are always singing and arranging activities for the residents.
