Thank you to all the staff at Lloyd Court nursing home. Especially since the lockdown, all the residents have been well looked after by the friendly staff. My mum seems to be coping with this situation, and she is happy watching the wildlife, especially the grey squirrels that live near the woods that
back onto her flat. Mum has dry macular (sight loss) and is hard of hearing, so she has to rely on more help now. She was more mobile while she had her walker going around the home and surrounding areas, but stays mostly in her flat now, but she seems happy watching TV. There's always a carer popping in to see her every couple of hours. I would recommend this care home to anybody considering placing there loved ones into care. I know if there are any issues the staff will have no problem contacting me, so a big thank you to everybody involved in caring for family members.

My mother has been a resident here for almost a year and has been very happy. The standard of care is extremely good, and the staff are very kind and caring. The current lockdown has been very well handled, and the whole team have shown great devotion and commitment to keeping their residents safe while
still providing activities, entertainment and meeting their needs. Thank you.

My Mother settled into Lloyd Court very quickly and seems very happy in her new abode.
The staff are very friendly, kind and caring and the complex is fresh, airy and spotless.
We are very grateful for the effort the team are making during these difficult times and for the personal sacrifices regarding
their own work/home commitments.
The activities arranged for the residents are much appreciated by my Mother as she enjoys the stimulation and social interaction.
The only slight disappointment has been the food (optional). It is a pity it is not freshly cooked on the premises as nutrition is so important, particularly when people are more vulnerable.
However, the staff have taken this on board and hopefully, the residents input will sort this out satisfactorily.
We are very lucky Mother is living in such a pleasant place.
Reply from Richard Smith, Marketing Manager at Lloyd CourtThank you for your kind comments about the care and support provided at Lloyd Court. As you've mentioned, the food isn't part of NorseCare's responsibility at Lloyd Court, but we have taken your comments on board.

Carers are a pleasure to have here. They make my day, nothing is ever too much for them. The whole place is exceptionally clean, masks around at all times. I feel so safe here at Lloyd Court. They all bring out the best in me. Food is excellent. Management are asking what is there I would like them
to change. Nothing, leave things as they are. I've got respect for all here.

I wanted to comment on the generally good standard of care at Lloyd Court; this, in my experience, is usually the case but I have been particularly impressed by the level of care and compassion which all staff have demonstrated in dealing with my friend who has been unwell and, given the current climate,
has required a lot of extra attention and support.
In the middle of such dark days, I have been heartened by receipt of an email informing me of all of the positive and fun activities that residents have been supported to participate in (whilst still observing the regulations around social distancing etc); this, as far as I am concerned, goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Thank you all for looking after my friend and supporting her to remain independent and happy.

How lucky for my mum and I that she is in Lloyd Court - she is so happy there and so thankful to all the staff for the amazing standard of care and their devotion to the residents, especially during the lockdown. We both thank you so much for what you are doing in these testing times and are constantly
amazed at your professional attitude coupled with cheerful and kind care. Love you all.

My uncle has been a resident for nearly 5-years, and it has been the best move for him as he struggled to live independently. He is in an environment where he gets support/supervision with daily activities he struggles with. He can socialise with other residents but still has his own private space.
The staff appear very patient and friendly with him, especially as he can be difficult at times. The manager and her team are always extremely helpful, and we appreciate the work they all do with my uncle. They have the patience of saints!

I have an aunt who moved here last year, unfortunately in Feb 2020 she had to have a spell in the local hospital, and was most distressed at the thought of not being able to get back to her accommodation in Lloyd Court due to the Coronavirus lockdown, very stringent measures and procedures were carried
out and she was able to return just as the lockdown began. My aunt, for the first time in a long while, has felt protected, looked after and 'at home' in Lloyd Court, the staff there could not be any better or do any better, and I salute them for providing such care in what is a very distressing situation, thank you Lloyd Court.

The staff at all levels are great, they show care and interest in my mum, making her quality of life first class.
They not only care for my mum but also take an interest in me as a fussy daughter.
The food was below par and measures have been taken to improve them - I still feel a better variety of
green vegetables is needed.

I have been coming to Lloyds Court over a year. I have found the staff very helpful. The whole building is always clean and always a pleasure to come into. From the cleaners to the Manager, they have always the time to chat. This is a place I would like to live in when I am in my 80's. Keep up the good
work.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.642)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.642) out of 10 for Lloyd Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Extra Care Housing is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.642 for Lloyd Court is calculated as follows: ( (106 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (5 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 134 Ratings = 4.642
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    5 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months: 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.5 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.5, 5th = 0.5)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Lloyd Court is based on 12 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Extra Care Housing does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
