Joanne brings more than 25 years of experience within the healthcare sector, combining practical care home knowledge with a strong background in property. Before developing Temple Grove Nursing Home, she worked with nursing home valuations and advised both investors and operators on care sector transactions.
This experience has given Joanne a detailed understanding of what makes a care home work well, both operationally and for the people living there. She continues to play an important role in Temple Grove’s development, helping to maintain the home’s high standards and thoughtful approach to care.
Mark is actively involved in the running of Temple Grove, supporting the team and helping to oversee day-to-day operations. His focus is on maintaining a well-managed, consistent and caring environment for residents.
Before Temple Grove, Mark worked in property investment, specialising in retail brokerage. He identified the former school site and saw its potential to become a purpose-built care home within extensive grounds. As Nominated Individual, Mark also works closely with the CQC in relation to the home’s regulatory responsibilities.
Eileen is a qualified nurse with more than 35 years’ experience in care. Her career includes many years within the NHS, where she developed particular expertise and interest in elderly care, dementia care and end-of-life support.
Since joining Temple Grove in 2025, Eileen has brought a calm, supportive and approachable leadership style to the home. She is passionate about creating a positive environment where residents, families and staff feel listened to, valued and well supported. Lisa has worked in care since 1995, beginning her career as a Healthcare Assistant before qualifying as a nurse in 2006. She later qualified as a midwife in 2012 and completed an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, including prescribing, in 2021.
Lisa joined Temple Grove in 2023 following many years in community nursing. Having progressed through several roles at the home, she now works as Clinical Lead, bringing broad clinical knowledge and a practical, hands-on understanding of care delivery. Her approach is centred on providing the standard of care she would want for her own loved ones.
Karen has been part of the Temple Grove team for more than 13 years. She first joined as a Kitchen Assistant and, with support from the home, completed her NVQ in Catering before becoming Head Chef in 2014.
Today, Karen leads a busy kitchen team responsible for preparing around 200 meals each day. She focuses on fresh ingredients, varied menus and meals that reflect residents’ dietary needs and personal preferences. The kitchen has consistently achieved a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating, something Karen and the team are understandably proud of.
Anna joined Temple Grove in 2015 as an Activities Coordinator and has since become Activities Lead. She has helped shape a varied activities programme designed to keep residents engaged, connected and involved in daily life at the home.
Anna works closely with residents, external groups and entertainers to develop activities and events that reflect people’s interests. She enjoys being part of Temple Grove’s close-knit team and values the strong community feel within the home.
