My mum moved to Temple Grove in September 2021, and the care and love she has received have been over and above what we ever expected. It's so lovely to visit her, the staff cannot do enough for you to make you welcome and fuss over you. We will never forget the way she has been looked after, ever.

We could not have been more pleased with Temple Grove.
From the initial assessment to discharge, everything was carried out in a professional manner. The staff were never-failing in their friendlinessand helpfulness.

All credit to everyone involved.

Following on from my previous feedback. I have had a productive conversation with the homeowner and we had a very productive conversation. We addressed the concerns that I had raised. I am very pleased to say that those issues have been resolved in the main with just one or two very minor things outstanding as I write this. I would like to stress however that despite my previous criticisms, they are in no way towards the caring and dutiful staff and management who go about their business professionally and with complete compassion towards all the residents. I also believe this will continue to be the case as we move forward.

Thank you to all at Temple Grove who tolerate both myself when visiting my brother and my brother for his rather fragrant shall we say choices of words on a daily basis. Whilst he has great banter with the staff in particular.

Reply from mark ellison, Owner at Temple Grove

Many thanks for your kind message. It was a pleasure to speak with you and discuss your brother's needs. Your insight was extremely helpful in informing how we are able to make your brother's care even more person-centred. He is a valued part of the Temple Grove family and I know our staff value his friendship enormously.

I cannot speak highly enough of Temple Grove. From my first contact with the home I was met with empathy and understanding. My sister has complex medical and care needs and after the first meeting with Temple Grove felt reassured knowing she would be well cared for.
Since moving to Temple Grove she has told me how caring the staff are and how happy and safe she feels. She enjoys watching the birds that come to the bird feeder outside her window and says the food is delicious!

As a family we are always welcomed and know our sister is cared for with dignity and kindness.

My mother has been very happy with Temple Grove Care Home as have her family. The staff are all friendly and attentive. The location is lovely and she appreciates being able to look out on the garden and wildlife. The nursing care team are approachable and always willing to discuss her care needs, being quick to pick up on any health issues and keep the family informed.

Temple Grove Care Home reported itself to the safeguarding team when my husband developed two wounds (bed sores) one on each shin. I was kept informed throughout the whole process of its progress and involved in the meeting which reviewed the outcome of the investigation.

My mother has been a resident at Temple Grove since July 2022. She soon settled in and has always been treated with great empathy, care and respect in this lovely home. The staff and management are very warm, welcoming and friendly and the home is well furnished, clean and fresh. Mum is treated as an individual and great care is taken with grooming which is so important for her self esteem; she always looks clean and well dressed and carers will spend time with mum, hairdressing and doing her makeup as she has always been a very glam lady. Mum is encouraged to join in the daily group activities but she also benefits from some 1:1 stimulation which really improves her wellbeing and most importantly providing fun is always on the agenda with staff and residents! The dining rooms are set up like restaurants with vases of flowers and menus on each table and the food is very good and freshly cooked each day. I have no hesitation in recommending Temple Grove to others who need nursing care.

Having recently visited this home to see a friend, I would just like to say how impressed I was with the friendly and helpful reception staff, the areas that I visited were clean and organised, how kind and considerate all the carers were to my friend, and myself, ensuring that all his needs were met and giving a full explanation as to why, and when certain things are happening.
My overall impression of the home is that it is warm, clean, friendly, welcoming and run efficiently. The care staff I interacted with showed kindness and empathy and were relaxed.

I would definitely recommend this care provider to my family and friends if they needed similar care or treatment.

I was invited by my friend to attend a BBQ at the end of August. The staff made us all welcome and had worked hard to make the eating area outside very attractive with bunting etc. The staff showed such care and attention to all the residents, making sure everyone was comfortable and helping to serve them with food and drinks. They went that extra mile to make everyone enjoy themselves. A great joint effort by carers, chefs and management.

Mum sadly passed away on the 30th of August 2021 after spending four years at Temple Grove. From the day she arrived to the day she sadly had to leave them, her care had been exemplary. All the staff at Temple Grove were brilliant and our particular thanks go to all the staff on the Elizabeth Unit who looked after Mum with such love, care and dignity. The staff said after her passing that she was one of their own. We would highly recommend Temple Grove as a place for your loved ones and it’s no surprise that they received a grading of Outstanding from the Care Quality Commission.

My mother was a resident from February 2018 until her death in August 2021. From day one, I have never had any doubt that this was the right home for her. Throughout, there is a warm and welcoming feeling as if you are visiting someone's home. The care that she received throughout her stay was second to none. She was very happy here. The food was excellent. The staff were very professional and approachable. During the lockdown, regular Skype calls were arranged and a regular newsletter was emailed to me detailing any changes. Never once did I have any worries as I knew she was being safely cared for. She celebrated her 100th birthday earlier this year and the family were allowed to see her from the garden. During the last few weeks of her life, I and the family were allowed to visit at any time. All the staff were very understanding and helpful in explaining each stage and being there for us as well. I cannot thank Temple Grove enough.

My mum has been in the nursing home since March 2019 and has been wonderfully cared for. The staff and management are always so friendly and always welcome me, Mum's grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as Mum's friends. I could not recommend a better nursing home. This home is first class. Thank you for everything you do for my mother.
