Exceptional!

There are so many ways to describe Nightingale House, but "one of a kind" sums it up best. What truly sets it apart is the people - from the care team to the hospitality staff, everyone works together to make it feel like home.

I'd also like to give a special mention to the engagement team, whose creativity never seems to run out. Their activities are consistently fun and inventive, and they clearly put real thought into keeping residents engaged and smiling.

From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. It's a place that goes above and beyond in every sense. Totally recommend a visit :)

When walking into Hammerson House the atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming and to sum up I am happy that my Father resides at Hammerson House and, more importantly, he is happy too ... so huge thanks to all of you !

The care provided to my mother has been excellent. She suffered a fall in her room. The staff were alerted by the Triton system and attended immediately. They provided excellent care and called 111. In general, the staff are caring, diligent and friendly. The team are well trained and provide a safe and fulfilling environment.

Hammerson Provides a high level of care and comfort to its residents. The carers and volunteers are all passionate and devoted in delivering a positive experience to the residents . There is a unique atmosphere

The care given to my mother at Wigoder House has been exceptional. The staff and management are very friendly and communicative and they create an atmosphere of tranquility, peace and security. The place is kept exceptionally clean and the gardens are a delight.

This is a wonderful home providing the most exemplary care for my mother who moved in over 2 years ago.

There is a very warm atmosphere which permeates the entire site and the care staff who work there are well trained and empathetic to my mother's needs.

I am able to be confident that my mother is being well looked after in the residential household where she lives and the accommodation is of a very high standard.

Looking back, it was certainly the right decision for my mother to move into Hammerson House and I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone else considering residential care.

There is a very good range of activities although some need more staff or volunteers to ensure that they happen.

As I realise I need a lot of help, I'm lucky to be here.

Hammerson House Wohl Campus is a fine building well suited for a care home. However, to my mind, its outstanding feature is the Sue Hammerson Woodland Walk. Access is easy. From the outdoor terrace in the back of the building, the Walk starts with a garden beautifully manicured and tended. From there take a slight downwards incline and head into the main forested portion of the walk. You will find on both sides of the path stately oak, maple, and beech trees and myriad other varieties. Flowering plants and shrubs line the well kept path. Many species of birds flourish. There are squirrels and even the occasional fox to be seen. The walk is adapted for both walkers and wheelchair users. Seats have been placed in key spots. I love strolling along the walk at any time of the day, month or year, even when there is snow on the ground. There is always something to delight the senses including bird sounds, and in season, the delicious sights and scents of plants, shrubs and greenery. There are open spaces where the visitor can observe the London sky (when it isn't raining). I am a keen observer of cloud formations. The woodland walk offers residents, visitors and staff a calming respite from the cares of the day in a beautiful nature setting.

My father has been at this care home almost 5 years and I think it is probably one of the best in the UK. They are under the same - enormous - financial and staffing pressures as all care homes but continue to provide outstanding, person-centred care. It is well-run at every level, clean and modern, fantastic facilities and great GP access. Even when there are staffing changes the front line care never suffers - my father is always treated with dignity and kindness. Every single staff member we encounter from the wonderful carers to the cafe and front desk teams shows friendliness, care and compassion and goes above and beyond to help. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hammerson House to anyone.

My mother who is 95 has been a resident of Hammerson House for a year. It has been a very positive experience. She, quite reasonably, had wanted to stay in her own home for as long as she could. However there comes a time when that is no longer possible. The care team at Hammerson worked hard to make the transition as smooth as possible and completed succeeded. My mum is an artist and in her last year at home she had stopped painting. I'm delighted to share that she is painting again and very engaged in lots of arts based activities. Hammerson has made that possible. In terms of the spaces it has a lovely garden, conservatory and cafe as well as lots of communal spaces.

I love living here. I have made my room very homely and I am very lucky to have a beautiful view of the patio and part of the garden and greenhouse. The house manager and team leader are both excellent, warm, caring and supportive. Our care team are usually kind and caring, but I recenty had trouble with one of them. Worryingly, I recently I think I had a watch and a neckless which is precious to me stolen. We have lots of activities to keep oir minds and bodies active. We have interesting outings and culture on the big screen.

From the moment I arrived at Hammerson House I felt very much at home & pleased with my choice of residence & the staff were very welcoming. The available facilities are first class & everything is extremely well organised & clean

When I moved into Hammerson House from my retirement flat, every facility was provided to house me in comfort with my possessions and memorabilia- all that is important to me. The care and support that I have received has been superb. I feel relaxed, secure and safe. My family are happy that I am content and cared for.

Two years as a resident. Time to adjust. Content and comfortable sometimes lovely and bored sometimes feel privacy invaded but appreciate care and friendship of staff and other residents.

Extremely well organised. Staff all care about their responsibilities and undertake them with tremendous enthusiasm and love. Kept very clean and hygenic. More than just a home a real caring community.

I have found everything I need here. Care continuing attention and medical care. If needed. And my carers are my very dear friends in every way.

In addition to the first class carers, there are a wide variety of activities to keep us occupied, and an excellent team of volunteers adds to our pleasure. I feel secure and cared for.

The staff were all very supportive towards my family, especially the nurses who gave us clarity and support through his stay at the home. All the staff at Hammerson were welcoming, friendly and made us all feel at home throughout the building. I would highly recommend them for your care home needs.
