We cannot thank the team at Priors Mead enough for the kindness, compassion and dignity they have shown our mother since she joined the home in February 2025. Mum has advanced dementia, and every member of staff took the time to get to know her as an individual, understanding her routines, personality and the little things that helped her feel settled. We always felt welcomed when visiting and involved in her care, and communication with the team was excellent throughout. Caring for a loved one with dementia is never easy, but knowing Mum was safe, happy and genuinely cared for gave our family enormous peace of mind. Thank you to everyone at Priors Mead for your professionalism, patience and unwavering kindness. We would wholeheartedly recommend Priors Mead to any family looking for high-quality dementia care.

My Mother moved to Priors Mead over two years ago, she found it difficult to settle there as she felt she could manage at home but was clearly at risk. Because of the patience and support she was given she died happily settled at 105 years of age. The excellent care increased with her needs and we , the family consider it to be the best care home, second to none. We also received so much support as a family. The staff are all absolutely fantastic and my Mum couldn't be any better looked after. There is always an activity the residents can partake in or always another resident or staff member they can just sit and talk to if they wish. Mum feels safe and cared for and that's our main wish for her. We are so very grateful to Claire and all her team there, they really do a fantastic job!

As a family, we are all exceptionally happy with the care that Mum is receiving at Priors Mead. We moved her here from another home that was not good for her, as it was too impersonal. At Priors Mead though, the staff all know her very well indeed, as it's a relatively small home, and this means that her care is the best it can be.

Priors Mead is an exceptional care home. They have shown so much patience and kindness in the past 12 months towards my father and go above and beyond to support and care for him. All the staff at Priors Mead show empathy and they go out of their way to ensure each person is treated with kindness and compassion. Priors Mead is a wonderful home for my mum. They are so caring, friendly and patient. The facilities are excellent, the entertainment programme is well thought out, I couldn’t think of a better place for her to be.

The staff have made every effort to get to know him and have made sure he has settled well into his new home. I think his health, thanks to the careful monitoring shown by care staff, has improved. My father is very pleased with his room and often tells me he enjoys the meals that are provided. Thank you Priors Mead.

Priors Mead is a lovely place for my mother to live, all the rooms are nicely decorated with lovely furnishings, all the staff go above and beyond to look after the residents, they get attention throughout the day and all staff are happy and cheerful. I can't fault anyone, management are very nice and helpful and food is great, I have eaten there a few times.

Lots of activities to stimulate residents and activities to include their families.

My mother spent over 3 years at Priors Mead, until her death there in May 2023. The staff were always caring, friendly and welcoming and my mother settled in quickly. She liked her room and enjoyed the activities they put on - they have plenty of them - and was content there and very well looked after. During her last few months, she deteriorated a lot physically and mentally and I was especially impressed and grateful that the staff were still so very caring with her. When she was no longer able to get up and had to stay in bed, they put everything in place for her comfort and were very attentive as dementia resulted in her forgetting where she was and getting distressed. They were very kind to me and other family/friends at this difficult time. I thoroughly recommend Priors Mead.

She is well fed and watered and enjoys all the entertainments laid on. I would recommend Priors Mead to anyone.

Priors Mead - staff, food, comfort and care - all excellent!

We are all exceptionally happy to have found this home.

Initially, my father and mother joined Priors Mead in mid-2018. In choosing the home, several were visited and Priors Mead was, by far the best. Dad had to move to another home because he needed nursing care and this reinforced the view that Priors Mead offered a much better standard of care than the norm. COVID and the nationwide issues in the care industry has inevitably impacted on all homes. However, Priors Mead continues to provide an excellent level of care and the head of home deserves a special mention in dealing so well with the challenges of running a care facility.

My gran stayed at Priors Mead Care Home for some respite care following some difficulties at home and our family could not believe the difference in her whilst with them! She was happier, brighter, well fed, and constantly amused! Her room was lovely with views of their stunning garden and my gran particularly loved the magnolia tree right outside her window. Every member of the team we came across was friendly and happy to help - I wouldn’t mind staying there myself! Huge thanks to all, I am sure she will be back!

The home is warm and inviting and visitors are made welcome any time and greeted with an offer of a hot drink, which is much appreciated.

My mother arrived at Priors Mead Care Home just two years ago at the height of Covid. During her stay there she has been looked after by a kind and caring staff. The staff treat all the residents with great respect in their declining years. My mother is happy in this caring environment. I and my sister and brother would highly recommend Priors Mead for their close relative.
