I can't express how happy and relieved I am as my mum is so well looked after at Cheriton Care Home. The care she receives is so personalised and catered to make her happy. The manager & the staff try their very best to make sure that mum's cultural needs are also addressed all the time. I am ever so
grateful to Judith, all the care workers & chefs at this place. To add to the list, my mum's birthday today was done & celebrated in a very special way by Cheriton Care Home.

My Godmother was at Nightingale Home from the end of 2021 till her death in February 2026. She could no longer stay at home as her dementia was advancing. From the start, she was very happy at the home and was wonderfully cared for right till the end. The staff are warm, caring, attentive and full of
joy and fun. They made her feel as though she was at home, and made her last years of life the very best that they could be. I felt as though she was among family, and will be forever grateful for the love and support that she received from all the staff. The home was always bustling and full of life, and I never found my Godmother sitting alone or unattended. The location and building are also lovely- they have a wonderful garden, and it is a well-looked after Victorian building with large windows looking out onto a quiet residential street. I often enjoyed walking around the neighbourhood with my Godmother when she was still mobile, and later on in a wheelchair. A fabulous home!

Since October 2025. The carehome have stop me from seeing my father.
They said i was not complying to their rules.
But the investigation is still pending with the council social workers.
How ridiculous is that.
My Father is crying every day and tells me that he wants to leave there.
When i speak
with the social worker she said she has done the assessment and believes my father is happy to stay there.
I have complained to the CQC AND THEY HAVE DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT.
SO YET AGAIN the councils and the independent authorities that meant to help resolve matters have failed to support you despite numerous of calls and emails.
Which proves private carehomes like these get away with a lot. See for yourselves. I was there practically everyday as i was off work and trying to concentrate on spending much time with my father prior to them stopping me entry.
The care is ok. Not brilliant not to standards.
Limited staff even if when questioned the say it is sufficient

I visited Nightingale House several times between January and March 2026. The staff team were most welcoming and accommodating. My overall impression was one of warmth and friendliness, every effort has been made to make residents feel wanted and needed. My good old friend was taken into Nightingale
at short notice directly from hospital, so staff had to work extra hard to learn about the background story of life. This to some extent I could provide. Since living at the home my friend has gradually settled in and become less agitated.
Reply from Theresa Rivera, Manager at Nightingale HouseThank you for your kind review of Nightingale. We're so pleased you felt the warmth and friendliness of our home. It's wonderful to hear that your friend is settling in well. We truly appreciate your recognition of our staff's hard work in helping residents feel settled and less agitated - your feedback means a lot to us.

My wife finds everything very good. The staff will go to any lengths to make her content and safe. Any food choice is found when her appetite is not good. Her room is rightly dressed - even a bird feeder is stuck to the outside of her window so she can watch them feed. I am always welcomed cheerily
and offered lunch every day but settle for a cup of tea.

My mother has been a resident since October 2019, since residing at the care home her physical and mental state has improved dramatically. Upon my visits I find my mother to be very calm, content and happy, the staff are exceptionally professional, kind and caring. I count my mother and my family extremely
fortunate to have secured a residency at the Nightingale care home and we are extremely grateful to all the staff for the support and care they provide to my mother and all the residence.

We cannot express enough how grateful we are for the care my mother received at Dapplemere. The staff were so well trained in dementia care, not just professionally but showing genuine compassion. They understood my mother's needs and went above + beyond to ensure her comfort. She had a lovely room
overlooking their beautiful gardens and everything was always clean and tidy. The activities were run so well, tailored to her declining abilities, keeping her engaged. We even saw her smile. The plistos meant so much. Communication from the staff were excellent. I cannot recommend Dapplemere highly enough. Thank you to the management and entire team for their dedication.

You'll see that my previous review was only back in June 2025 and everything I wrote then still applies.
However, this is my final review. Mum passed peacefully away at Dapplemere in mid-August at the age of 91.
So, I must add that since her passing the support from everyone there has been exemplary.
I
was given all the time I needed to say a private goodbye to Mum. On a subsequent visit, and with welcome assistance, I was able to collect personal things from her room and, again, with no time pressures.
Other reviews refer to the 'Dapplemere family'. As a regular visitor I've felt very much a part of that and I'll miss seeing those people with whom I've shared time during my visits.
Finally, I'd like to take the opportunity, on behalf of Mum's family and friends, to express our thanks for the care and love given by the staff over the last four and a half years.
Reply from Trisha Thurbon, Manager at DapplemereHi Malcolm, you will always be welcome at Dapplemere, pop in any time. Mum was a joy to look after and she will be missed by us all.

My mother has been a resident at Nightingale House since August 2024 and has now become a permanent resident. We have been extremely happy with the staff and the care my mother has received. The staff are exceptional and my mother has engaged very well with everyone. During visits we have been very
pleased to see that my mother has settled in very well and is very happy within herself. The communication from management and the team is brilliant, they keep us informed and up to date with anything relating to my mother's care.
I am extremely grateful and satisfied with the care my mother receives. It's very reassuring to know my mother is happy and safe.

My mother has been in Nightingale House about a year now as she suffers from dementia. From the start we have noticed that all the staff, without exception, are extremely caring and proficient. This has given me great comfort knowing that my mother is taken care of and is treated with dignity. It was
initially a trial for 8 weeks and it was not what we had initially selected. However, we are so happy that events have turned out as they have and that she is a permanent placement at Nightingale House. Thank you once again to the whole Nightingale House team!
Reply from Theresa Rivera, Manager at Nightingale HouseThank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words.
