My Godmother was at Nightingale Home from the end of 2021 till her death in February 2026. She could no longer stay at home as her dementia was advancing. From the start, she was very happy at the home and was wonderfully cared for right till the end. The staff are warm, caring, attentive and full of
joy and fun. They made her feel as though she was at home, and made her last years of life the very best that they could be. I felt as though she was among family, and will be forever grateful for the love and support that she received from all the staff. The home was always bustling and full of life, and I never found my Godmother sitting alone or unattended. The location and building are also lovely- they have a wonderful garden, and it is a well-looked after Victorian building with large windows looking out onto a quiet residential street. I often enjoyed walking around the neighbourhood with my Godmother when she was still mobile, and later on in a wheelchair. A fabulous home!

My mother always seems content and happy when I visit. I am always kept informed of what has been going on. It was nice to hear about the St. Patrick's Day celebrations and how my mum enjoyed a glass of stout! Staff are all fantastic.

Since October 2025. The carehome have stop me from seeing my father.
They said i was not complying to their rules.
But the investigation is still pending with the council social workers.
How ridiculous is that.
My Father is crying every day and tells me that he wants to leave there.
When i speak
with the social worker she said she has done the assessment and believes my father is happy to stay there.
I have complained to the CQC AND THEY HAVE DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT.
SO YET AGAIN the councils and the independent authorities that meant to help resolve matters have failed to support you despite numerous of calls and emails.
Which proves private carehomes like these get away with a lot. See for yourselves. I was there practically everyday as i was off work and trying to concentrate on spending much time with my father prior to them stopping me entry.
The care is ok. Not brilliant not to standards.
Limited staff even if when questioned the say it is sufficient

I visited Nightingale House several times between January and March 2026. The staff team were most welcoming and accommodating. My overall impression was one of warmth and friendliness, every effort has been made to make residents feel wanted and needed. My good old friend was taken into Nightingale
at short notice directly from hospital, so staff had to work extra hard to learn about the background story of life. This to some extent I could provide. Since living at the home my friend has gradually settled in and become less agitated.
Reply from Theresa Rivera, Manager at Nightingale HouseThank you for your kind review of Nightingale. We're so pleased you felt the warmth and friendliness of our home. It's wonderful to hear that your friend is settling in well. We truly appreciate your recognition of our staff's hard work in helping residents feel settled and less agitated - your feedback means a lot to us.

My mother has been a resident since October 2019, since residing at the care home her physical and mental state has improved dramatically. Upon my visits I find my mother to be very calm, content and happy, the staff are exceptionally professional, kind and caring. I count my mother and my family extremely
fortunate to have secured a residency at the Nightingale care home and we are extremely grateful to all the staff for the support and care they provide to my mother and all the residence.

My mother has been in Nightingale House about a year now as she suffers from dementia. From the start we have noticed that all the staff, without exception, are extremely caring and proficient. This has given me great comfort knowing that my mother is taken care of and is treated with dignity. It was
initially a trial for 8 weeks and it was not what we had initially selected. However, we are so happy that events have turned out as they have and that she is a permanent placement at Nightingale House. Thank you once again to the whole Nightingale House team!

Mum lived with me in a busy household for over 7 years. After breaking her hip and a month in hospital her dementia escalated. It was with a heavy heart that I realised it was not the best choice to keep her at home. She was no longer able to manage stairs, was sleeping most of the day and unable to
be left alone. Having visited 3 other care homes I entered Nightingale House and knew within 10 minutes that it was the right place for mum. The staff are all so lovely and care so much about each and every resident. Mum is thriving and doing so much more than she was at home. The food is very good and she's starting to put on a much needed bit of weight. She hasn't once asked to 'come home'. She is very content and settled. I have no concerns about her living with her lovely new family, she's in the best care home and we were so lucky that they were able to accommodate her. Our family is a close one and we all visit regularly and we feel very welcome by everyone. Thank you.
Reply from Theresa Rivera, Manager at Nightingale HouseThank you for your wonderful feedback. We are truly pleased to hear that your mother is settling in well after spending seven years with her family. Adjusting to a new environment can be a significant transition, and we are honoured to provide the care, support, and love she deserves. It is heartwarming to know that you feel confident in the care she is receiving. We will continue to do our best to ensure she feels comfortable and safe, and at home. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything more we can do to support her.

My grandmother became a resident of Nightingale House in January 2025 after living with my mum for eight years. We were so worried she would be sad to leave home, but we could not have been happier with how she has settled in at Nightingale House. The staff are exceptional, so kind, friendly and have
us feeling so confident that Grandma is in the best place. She literally looks like a new woman. After spending days alone at home while everyone is at work, she is now surrounded by the most attentive staff, all day, every day. Thank you so much.

My aunt has been in the nursing home for several years. Although some selected staff are carrying out great care, others are very questionable. There has been multiple issues with quality of care actually been given in the home. My aunt has had her belongings taken almost every day, staff have always
blamed laundry service. Everything we have taken for my aunt to keep in her room has gone missing, even down to her undergarments.
I have made several complaints but all that gets said is 'we will check with laundry'.
We have labelled the clothing with permanent ink, clothing labels and markers. Yet all her clothes have gone missing.
We go to visit her and she is always in someone else's clothes and shoes. Staff are told and their attitude is 'I don't know check with manager', ask manager and she always replies with 'it's a problem with laundry'. Ongoing issue for three years and no solution has been found. It's very sad to see her identity being lost whilst she has been there.

My dad stayed at Nightingale House for three months and I cannot recommend them enough. All the staff are so caring and friendly. It was so amazing to see Dad, who suffered with dementia, interact with the staff and smile so much when he saw them. They were very tentative about his needs and made sure
he had everything he needed. They also made me feel very welcome when I went to visit. He had a lovely day when they did a bank holiday BBQ and put on an amazing spread of food, with a singer and everyone was dancing.
If anyone is looking for a care home for a loved one I would highly recommend Nightingale House. I couldn't fault them at all.

The staff at Nightingale House are all so lovely - professional, attentive, and always ready to help. The manager and activities coordinator in particular go above and beyond, taking my aunt out to her medical appointments and ensuring all her needs are met.
The facilities are simple but comfortable,
and the building is within a short walk from Twickenham High Street.

This will be my last review as my dear mother passed away in mid July 2024. I thank all the staff for giving her the appropriate end-of-life care. They kept her comfortable most of the time. Even the kitchen staff did their best to prepare meals that they hoped she would eat. The cleaner kept her room
tidy.
The above staff always popped in to say hello and have a quick chat with her. The main carer has got a heart of gold. His care was genuine. Mum loved him. The best part was there was this lovely carer who stayed with her holding her hands till the end of her passing. I cannot thank her enough. I am not allowed to mention names but I am sure the individuals know who I mean. I take this opportunity to thank the Manager and all her team for all they have done. It can be busy sometimes but look out for each other. That is what teamwork is all about. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

My mother has been a resident at Nightingale House for nearly 2 years. I want to praise the staff - carers, support and catering - who make her stay there very pleasurable. My mother is now in much better shape than she was in 2022 and that's fantastic given her age. The staff are kind and caring and
the catering is brilliant.

My mother has been in Nightingale House for almost two years now, and has received excellent care and support. The staff are so friendly and caring and always encourage her to participate in activities. It is very important for me to feel that she is well taken care of and safe. I live abroad and call
her often and receive pictures of her, all of which help us to remain close.
The home could do with some updating.
