My Mum has been at Holly Lodge for over 6 months now. Settling in took quite a long time, with different challenges along the way. Staff are very welcoming when we visit, keeping us up-to-date, showing great kindness and care for Mum. We, as visitors, are always made to feel welcome and we have been able to use the 'family room' for a couple of small family gatherings. Due to Mum's condition, she isn't able to make use of all the facilities and activities put on at Holly Lodge but the staff do try and include her where appropriate.

Mum has been in Cedar Lodge for over a year and she calls it her home as the team at Cedar Lodge have made it this way for her. The care and thought the team put into the smallest details is outstanding. From the chef checking on meal requirements to the nursing care (which is exceptional) and all the care and activities. As a team together they work to ensure that each person is special in their own home.

Although my father was only a resident for two weeks prior to his death, he was treated with the utmost compassion, care and kindness by all those who came into contact with him. This also applied to his family and friends - nothing was too much trouble and someone was always available to answer any questions. As a family we would like to thank everyone for their care and kindness - at such a stressful time.

I will be forever grateful to all the staff at HL for their care and treatment of dad during his 8 month residency. I was particularly impressed with the compassion and sensitivity shown to us and to him. during the last weeks of his life.

My friends were joint residents of Cedar Lodge for more than 4 years. In all that time I was a regular visitor and I was completely satisfied that they were at all times treated with the utmost care, kindness, dignity and respect. I have not rated highly lightly for each. Very well done to all concerned.

I was reassured and pleased to observe first hand the courtesy and kindness exercised by staff to our relative in the last few weeks of his life. They were considerate and supportive of my daughters and were prepared to give information and explanations of actions that were taken to make him as comfortable as possible. They showed sensitivity and compassion. Thank you.

My first impression of Cedar Lodge was teh cleanlinesss, the smiling staff, how clean and well dressed the residents were, and particular attention to detail. My husband is so happy here, and he loves the staff, and we know he is being looked after.

Cedar Lodge was where my mum spent her final few months. Their 'magic' worked from day 1. So welcoming without being over-bearing. Always a kind face from all of the staff. My mum was quite artistic and thoroughly enjoyed joining in with the superbly prepared activities. So much better for her than sitting at home watching TV. I can not praise Cedar Lodge enough. A fabulous environment. When my time comes around it's where I'd ike to be.

Holly Lodge provided exceptional care for my mother for 2 1/2 years. The staff showed exceptional care and respect for Mum as her health became weaker. Mum enjoyed so many activities at Holly Lodge, we were so grateful for all the staff for the love and care which they showed to Mum and the other residents. We are very happy to recommend Holly Lodge.

Mum has been a resident of Cedar Lodge for three years and we are so lucky to have found such a warm, caring and very professionally run home for her. After respite periods in another couple of homes in the area, we quickly realised the extent to which the team at Cedar Lodge goes above and beyond in the care they provide. Staff are always friendly, responsive, on top of mum's current needs and medical appointments and importantly she has developped close bonds with many of them. The addition of the coffee shop area has been wonderful, allowing residents to receive multiple visitors in a welcoming environment and for the Lodge to host more events with family and friends. They are to be commended for coming up with new and varied activities, mum particularly enjoyed being able to have her wedding dress on display recently! We are so grateful to all of the team who work tirelessly but in good humour to the benefit of mum's health, well-being and our own peace of mind.

My dear wife was admitted 2.5 years ago with Parkinson's and Dementia. The quality of care has been excellent. Without exception all the staff are wonderful and they are deeply committed to what they do because it comes from the heart and there is a real sense of community amongst them. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are always proactive in attending to my wife's needs. My wife is now at final stage Parkinson's and is undergoing palliative care. All the staff have undergone specialist training in palliative care. Cedar Lodge is without doubt exceptional for what they do and I cannot thank them enough.

I have been very impressed with the level of care shown to my mum and the variety of activities she has been encouraged to participate in. The staff have always been ready to help and with a smile. I find it difficult to find any fault with Holly Lodge, and so pleased Mum spent her last few years here. Thank you very much.

We were very lucky to find Cedar Lodge. My father was with them for a year during which all the carers and wider staff treated him with immense kindness, compassion and care. The nursing team were brilliant - they were highly accessible and offered frequent feedback without needing to be asked. Dad had access to a wide variety of activities and I enjoyed joining him for singers and visiting birds of prey etc. The activities team worked so hard! When dad was no longer able to leave his bed they would come to his room to read to him & look at his photobooks. I am very grateful for the care he received from everyone, when dad passed away it was clear that Cedar Lodge is like one big family.

Mum has been a resident at Holly Lodge for five months. She has settled extremely well. Her anxiety levels have dropped dramatically, due to the skills of the nursing team and genuinely caring and polite staff. The catering team produce a wide variety of appetising and nutritionally balanced food. The entertainment staff are always cheerful and have a great variety of activities on offer. They produce a news paper, which keeps residents connected to their loved ones. There are also places for those who enjoy quiet time. The beautiful gardens are easily accessible. Visitors are encouraged and welcome to call at any time.The cleaning staff keep everything spotless. Mum has regular visits from the lovely doctor, chiropodist and hairdresser, and enjoys having a manicure. Her personal hygiene is well managed and she is always neatly presented. The management team are efficient, helpful and approachable. I cannot fault this very caring home and would recommend it without hesitation.

Since coming to Cedar Lodge both my health and wellbeing have improved, the staff are caring and respectful, and very friendly. My eldest son, who is a doctor in USA believes I wouldn't be alive today if I hadn't come to Cedar Lodge.

Two years ago, my wife aide an unplanned visit to Cedar Lodge as my mother's then care home was falling short of our expectations and Mum needed more care. My wife was so impressed. On visiting, so was I, and Mum moved in. The staff know residents and visitors by name, and know about residents welfare and condition like they were family. In fact, Cedar Lodge is like a big family home. The staff - all of them - really care and go the extra mile for the residents, and looked after us when my mum was declining and passed away.
