Since my mother arrived at Elm Lodge, the management team and staff have been thoughtful, very caring, patient, with nothing being too much trouble with anything Mum has requested. The facilities are very special, along with the whole team. We are very happy with all aspects of Mum's care. What a find!

The Elm Lodge team are superstars and constantly go above and beyond to care for my Mum. They recently pulled out all the stops so that she could attend my Brother's wedding. We were therefore incredibly lucky to have her there and she starred in all of the photos, which is incredible as she's wheelchair-bound
and doesn't speak very often now due to her Alzheimer's. She was smiling all day, which is the best possible outcome. I just want to say a huge thank you, to all the staff, for your continued, unwavering care. Mum is a better person for being where she is. I cannot rate Elm Lodge highly enough - you don't need to look anywhere else if you're on the journey to find care for your loved one.

My mum has been in Oak Lodge for 4 weeks respite with the hope of later becoming a full time resident. Mum has dementia and obviously finding it all very different and a bit anxious at times,
all staff have been very caring and understanding of mum's needs.
Paying particular attention to her likes
and dislikes and with the option to join in with activities if she wishes, she is encouraged but not forced and I have been so pleased to see her joining in. The manageress is always happy to discuss any issues and resolve them promptly.
Oak Lodge has many bright and airy spaces, the dining area is like a restaurant and the food is excellent. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and gardens and surrounding area is beautiful.
Not only have the staff and especially the Manageress been so nice to mum, but also very supportive and nice to me too at a time of tough changes in our lives.
I would be extremely happy if mum could continue living here and i'd be happy to recommend Oak Lodge to anyone

My mother has been at Oak Lodge for about 3 years and I am so very glad that she's a resident there. All the Oak Lodge staff- admin, nurses, carers, maintenance etc...genuinely seem to care for her, and it's situated in a beautiful environment. She feels safe , looked after, and has made lots of friends
there, enjoying a wealth of different activities, from poetry reading, singing in their choir to floor curling!
In addition they have visitations from a host of different furry/feathered friends: alpacas, guinea pigs, birds of prey and so on.
School children regularly visit for chats, singing and making cards, and singers, musicians and dancers also entertain.
I am so blessed that she's enjoying her new home, thank you Oak Lodge for providing outstanding care and support to mum.

Really glad we found Oak Lodge for my mother's care. There is no doubt that she is well looked after in her twilight years, and has always said that she is happy here, which is a great weight off our minds.
The place is always bright, warm and airy and, along with the gardens, always well kept. The
staff are amazing, friendly and always know my mother (and us), by name, providing lots of varied entertainment for the residents, catering for their varied needs.
The impression, over the past three years, has always been one of a well managed and happy place, for which we are very grateful!

I have visited many care homes with, and for, family and friends, over many years. The Lodge has proved to provide all that we required for my husband... a calm environment, genuine warmth between residents and carers, many opportunities for residents to be independent and make their own decisions,
ie - free movement inside/outside the building, choice of activities each day, choice of all meals each day, and a choice to join 'day out' trips. Above all this, the care all residents receive every day is outstanding!!

From the moment we first visited Elm Lodge, we have been extremely impressed with the quality, standards and care provide by all the management and staff. We feel Elm Lodge reflects the services within a five star hotel. Our resident friend is happier, healthier, eating much better and totally content
with 'her new home'. She has an enthusiastic zest for life which prior to moving to Elm Lodge, she had lost completely. We cannot thank all the staff for all they have done in achieving this. We visit frequently and are always made to feel extremely welcome with delicious beverages and cakes always available for residents and their guests. We cannot praise the Elm Lodge Management and staff enough for their professionalism, experience, dedication and kindness.

Elm Lodge is a lovely residential care home in beautiful grounds. I cannot praise the staff enough, they are kind, caring, attentive and always ready to help whenever they can. My husband enjoys the trips out and the entertainment that is brought in. Friends and relatives are always welcomed and are
able to meet up with the resident in very pleasant lounges.

We had become a little dissatisfied with the care home my 95 year old mum was in so when we saw Elm Lodge was opening, we booked a visit. We were very impressed with everything; the location; the facilities; and the staff. We felt even more positive after subsequent visits and my mum's visit and assessment
so we decided to move her to Elm Lodge. It could not have gone better. From the welcome pack the home provided to the staff welcoming mum we felt confident we had made the right decision. We have seen a marked improvement in my mother. Whilst before the move she preferred to sit in her room now she wants to socialise and loves going out. Much of this is down to the staff, all of whom are very caring, friendly and supportive. The home have arranged for mum Mum gets her hair done weekly, the fees of which are covered by the monthly fee. The facilities are superb and mum has enjoyed use of the spa bath.

We recently moved our Mum from another local care home to Elm Lodge and within less than a week we saw a huge difference in her. She is well cared for, smiling constantly and the staff are just the most incredible people. They treat the residents as they would their own relatives. Their passion for
their jobs is clear. Nothing is too much trouble and they go over and above to accommodate all requests. We were worried that a change in care home would rock Mum's world and it has but for all the right reasons, she is so much happier, looks healthier thanks to the wonderful chefs and is thriving in her new environment. The location is perfect and has the most wonderful views across fields and the gardens. I cannot recommend Elm Lodge enough.

Elm Lodge Care Home is an outstanding care home, I moved my elderly mother from a care home that was part of a large group to Elm Lodge, and find that its very luxurious, with a very relaxed atmosphere, the staff are excellent , and you can see they really care for the residents, my mother tells me
the food is very good. She now gets regular activities, and seems a lot happier.

I would highly recommend it.

We thoroughly recommend Rowan Lodge for its comprehensive and empathetic care across the range of needs including dementia care. The care home is comfortable, well run, offers excellent facilities and menu, has a pleasant small garden and patios overlooking green countryside.Care has been sensitively adjusted
over mum's time of occupation to fit her mental and physical health as she passes 2 years living at Rowans and approaches her 100th birthday. The 24/7 nursing care is diligent and thorough, mum's very survival having been secured by prompt action. The carers are genuinely caring and patient ,within reason nothing too much trouble, and staff strive to secure a good relationship. The family and mum's friends are always made welcome, whether on physical visits or online.Good communal events and many engaging activities are arranged for residents to choose from if interested and according to personal preference.

I was impressed with how mum's admission was dealt with. Everything went smoothly and she was welcomed like an old friend. Mum is treated with respect and careful attention. Her room is lovely with a view over the patio, she has an en suite bathroom and everything is kept spotlessly clean.
The activities
are endless, there always seems to be something going on so residents can never be bored. The food and choice of menu is varied and would grace a hotel.
I would recommend Rowan Lodge to anyone who needs to place a relative in a secure, happy and caring environment.

Our 99-year-old mum has been at Oak Lodge for 18 months, and every time we see her she tells us how lucky she is to be in such a lovely home, and looked after by such caring people.
She has made so many friends and enjoys all the activities that are provided, from gardening, crafts, musicians, singers,
nursery group visits, and she has joined the choir.
The care is exceptional, the setting in beautiful grounds is perfect and the catering is amazing. We would love to thank everyone at Oak Lodge for everything they do for her .

Outstanding care and attention from all the management team and staff.
Know that mum is so very well cared for and has settled in well since arriving in July 2023.
She in turn feels she receives great support and care.
Know that on my arrival I am well informed and updated on any issues that staff
or mum might currently have.
I'm in turn always greeted as "a friend/family member" which makes me feel very welcome too.
