Cedar Lodge is an award-winning purpose-built care home in Surrey, combining 24-hour residential and nursing care with warm and friendly hospitality for up to 60 residents on a permanent and respite basis. Framed by woodland, residents enjoy lovely views from their luxurious bedrooms equipped with ensuite facilities, spacious communal areas for entertaining and dining, a dedicated activities wing, café and hair salon. Outside, a landscaped garden and tranquil courtyard provide space for residents and their loved ones to relax and enjoy. Cedar Lodge even cultivates honey from its own beehives.

Their award-winning activities team prioritise resident wellbeing by organising a variety of meaningful and joyful group, individual and one-to-one activities and experiences. Activities are adapted to the daily wishes of residents and their cultural interests and supported by their life-stories in line with Cedar Lodge’s ethos of a person-centred approach to care. They involve families in care and activity planning to gain a personal understanding of what really matters to each resident and learn about their favourite pastimes and hobbies so they can tailor activities to suit their preferences.

We were very lucky to find Cedar Lodge. My father was with them for a year during which all the carers and wider staff treated him with immense kindness, compassion and care. The nursing team were brilliant - they were highly accessible and offered frequent feedback without needing to be asked. Dad
had access to a wide variety of activities and I enjoyed joining him for singers and visiting birds of prey etc. The activities team worked so hard! When dad was no longer able to leave his bed they would come to his room to read to him & look at his photobooks. I am very grateful for the care he received from everyone, when dad passed away it was clear that Cedar Lodge is like one big family.

Since coming to Cedar Lodge both my health and wellbeing have improved, the staff are caring and respectful, and very friendly. My eldest son, who is a doctor in USA believes I wouldn't be alive today if I hadn't come to Cedar Lodge.

Two years ago, my wife aide an unplanned visit to Cedar Lodge as my mother's then care home was falling short of our expectations and Mum needed more care. My wife was so impressed. On visiting, so was I, and Mum moved in. The staff know residents and visitors by name, and know about residents welfare
and condition like they were family. In fact, Cedar Lodge is like a big family home. The staff - all of them - really care and go the extra mile for the residents, and looked after us when my mum was declining and passed away.

I find Cedar Lodge to be a bright, happy caring home where the staff give love & perfection to all the residents & everyone is called by the Christian names which makes it all so friendly. Special attention is given to the residents well being and special activities are arranged most weeks a nice pub
lunch and lovely barbicue recently took advantage of the good weather, we all had a lovely time. Also a party was arranged for Mothers Day with tea & cakes. Everyones tastes are considered and surprising keep fit is very popular and they are good at it too. Also arts & crafts are enjoyed. The staff join in everything which encourages the elderly.
The food is good and to most people taste
The home is very well run and the levels of staff are easily identified by their smart uniforms
The home is immucutly clean & bright
And many of us are looking forward to sitting in the garden enjoying the summer flowers

My first impression of Cedar Lodge was how happy, friendly and welcoming is everyone. The staff are always helpful and take great care of the resident, and are happy to answer any queries. Frequent events are laid on, often musical entertainment, and sometimes visits from animals, such as rabbits, and
once small birds of prey. A large friendly dog is a frequent visitor. Birthdays are always celebrated with delicious cakes. The dining area is well laid out, almost like a hotel. I am very satisfied with the good care my husband is receiving.

In the end Dad's residency at Cedar Lodge was just under 9 months. The home was clean & the staff friendly & helpful. Dad had always wanted to attend his church on a Sunday and to begin with this was made possible but as Dad's needs increased this became impossible. The home cared for his medical &
nutrition needs, although we did have issues with the food which seemed to be addressed by the management. My only concern was the number of bed sores he developed which were managed after they had occured rather than preventing them happening.

My father was a resident in Cedar Lodge for 2 and a half years. He had developed dementia so was no longer able to look after himself at home. Cedar Lodge staff were consistently excellent in their level of both medical and social care. Also of note, any visitors my father had were always complimentary
of the high standard of the environment, buildings and surroundings. I would recommend Cedar Lodge to any one looking for a care home package.

I booked for my husband while taking a break from taking care of him. 2 weeks before travel, my husband became very unwell, the manager at Cedar Lodge kidly agreed to admit my husband 2 weeks early before the due date. All staff at Cedar Lodge took great care of my husband. During my visit and other

Mum came to Cedar Lodge from another care home in Surrey when after a series of falls they could no longer meet her care needs. She has been in Cedar for just over a year now during which time she has had some periods of very ill health. We have no doubt the level of care and compassion they provide
is the reason she is with us today. Her quality of life is far better - varied and stimulating and she is very happy to call it "home". It gives our family great comfort knowing they are providing the best care she needs at this time of her life. We highly recommend Cedar Lodge.

My mum has been a resident at Cedar Lodge for just over a year and is approaching her 101st birthday. She is very settled and is looked after very well. The staff are so caring and nothing is too much trouble. We visited many homes prior to choosing Cedar Lodge and definitely think we made the best

My friend had been in Cedar Lodge for four years right up to her passing away in August. As time went on she became bed-bound but the staff especially one in particular still managed to include her in outside visitors and entertainment. She had so much care and support from all the staff, everyone was
so friendly and approachable and was always there to discuss all aspects. When she passed away she was treated with so much dignity and compassion.

My brother-in-law was first admitted to Cedar Lodge in June 2022. He was sent directly from hospital on palliative care and was not expected to live for more than three months. However, it wasn't until 22 months later, in April of this year, that he passed away peacefully. There's no doubt in my mind
that the extension of his life was entirely due to the care and attention he received during his stay. Whenever his two sons; his niece, or my wife and I visited him he was always in a happy mood and that again reflected the excellent way he was being looked after. On the day he died all five of us were at his bedside and the care he received was exemplary. In his final moments, we had tears in our eyes and so did the nurses. It was obvious they were his friends, as well as his carers, and I cannot praise them highly enough. Equally, the managers and senior staff were incredibly helpful and always made us feel welcome during our visits. The home’s five-star rating is truly justified.

The staff always know where Mum is at all times of the day, they know her (and us) by name. Nursing care is excellent - they can pick up when something is wrong and act on it immediately. They also know Mum's history and regular GP visits are good. It's reassuring for us to know that she is safe and
well cared for. There are always lots of activities to engage for all residents.

The care my mother received at Cedar Lodge from the manager to all of her team was excellent. The staff were always polite and the care that was delivered was always with dignity and grace.
The home and gardens were well cared for, my mother particularly enjoyed sitting in the garden and enjoying the
view. The food was always excellent.
Nothing was too much trouble. We are very thankful to all the team for the great care. Thank you.

Nenita

Nenita Jopson

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2009

Nenita qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1990 in her native Philippines. She has worked all over the world, including nursing in hospitals in Saudi Arabia and Singapore, before moving to the UK in 2004. She began working at Forest Care as a Nurse and then progressing to Clinical Lead, Head of Care, Deputy Manager and now Registered Care Home Manager of Cedar Lodge.


Nenita’s hard-working nature and open-door policy gains respect from her staff, gives relatives peace of mind and enhances the lives of residents. She naturally leads her team by example in offering exemplary person-centred care to her service users, which her workforce reflects. in 2019, Nenita was selected as winner of the Frontline Leader of the Year at the Surrey Care Awards.

Florisa

Florisa Molera

Job Title: Head of Care Joined: 2008

Florisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has built up 17 years of experience working in the UK as a nurse in a variety of medical settings. Florisa has now been working at Cedar Lodge for 10 years and is our compassionate and dedicated Head of Care.


With an extensive background in nursing, Florisa is responsible for managing the clinical care of the residents in the home. This involves supervising the Nurses, Senior Carers and Carers to ensure residents receive person-centred care in accordance with their assessed needs and plans of care, along with focusing on their mental, physical and emotional well-being.

Jayne

Jayne Barker

Job Title: Home Administrator Joined: 2014

Jayne started working with us at Cedar Lodge in 2014 and has quickly become part of the team and is equally committed to ensuring each and every resident is happy and well looked after. Jayne is a passionate member of the team who is proud to work at Cedar Lodge.


As Administrator, Jayne is responsible for the day-to-day administrative functioning of the home and supporting Nenita to ensure everything happens as it should. This involves a variety of tasks such as employment checks, enquiry handling, show rounds and admissions, to being a point of contact for residents and relatives while dealing with their day-to-day requests.

Bhanu

Bhanu Morampudi

Job Title: Head Chef Joined: 2017

Bhanu has been working as a professional Chef for over 10 years.


For 3 years, Bhanu has worked at Cedar Lodge as our talented and passionate Head Chef. He works hard to develop a menu that is appealing to residents while focusing on their nutritional and dietary needs.


Bhanu brings his strong creative flair to work every day, presenting his food in artistic ways and making sure there is a strong colour balance on the plate. Cooking with seasonal fresh foods is important to Bhanu, who is passionate about caring for our residents through his meals.

David

David Fielding

Job Title: Maintenance Manager Joined: 2017

David is our Handyman who works very hard fixing things and making sure our home runs smoothly. This involves ensuring that any maintenance/repair works are carried out promptly and efficiently with minimum disturbance.


David is a wonderful support to the home and will often participate in special activities.

Wendy and Yumi are our award-winning activities team. They excellently nurture residents’ social and mental well-being, alongside their physical care within the Activities they provide.
