On the first day, the manager, Karen said to my mother that the staff will work with her to address her challenges. This really resignated with me and has indeed proved to be the case. Always a warm and informative welcome from Lee, the Home's Administrator.

Although my mother is terminally ill her 'wellbeing' has improved since she has been in the home and we all feel that the home is the best place for her at this time. When I visit it is clear that the staff regularly attend/pop in to see my mother and are always very cheerful, engaging and attentive.

Communication was excellent throughout her stay, and I received regular, reassuring updates on her care plan. The home itself is kept very clean and is located in a beautifully calm, peaceful setting. I am so grateful for the excellent care she received."

My mum has been living at Kite Hill since March 2025 and has been very happy there. The staff are all very caring, the home is spotlessly clean and the chefs create lovely puréed food for mum - not a puréed mess, but each part of the meal is separately puréed so mum still can taste the veg and protein separately. As I had been mum's primary carer for the previous 10 years, her care and safety were very important to me and I have no worries about her care or safety at Kite Hill.

Mum's been at Beggars Roost now for a few months, she has settled in really well and that is due to the wonderful staff, they are helpful, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Mum was not eating much when she went there, but thanks to the staff encouragement and the lovely food mum is eating well again. Thanks again to all who work at Beggars Roost

Mum passed away at the care home but I am certain she had the best possible care at all times at. I would 100% recommend this care home

Dad spent the last two years of life in Kite Hill. Despite his infirmity, he was very comfortable. Was always praising the staff too me and he thought the world of them all. On Dad's passing the staff showed much empathy and I could not thank and praise them enough.

In general I am veyr happy with care given but I am unhappy with the way he looks sometimes as clothes are not ironed and put in draws and not hung up. Everything of his is named not all of his clothes are in the cupboard and a lot of other peoples. Overall Joe seems to be happy and settled.

My husband has been here for only 3 months he has been treated well. The staff are caring, friendly and accommodating.

I regularly visit a resident at this home. On my last visit, he told me what a wonderful salmon and hollandaise sauce he had on Christmas Day. Also, wonderful entertainment, so much better than being at home on his own. He is very happy at Woodside and has made friends with the staff. He has a lovely room and a high level of care.

I cannot thank you enough for looking after my mum with so much care and love. It's is a great comfort to know that she spent the last three years of her life in a very calm, relaxed and loving state of mind, which was due to the high standard, exemplary care from you all. I will never forget and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My brothers stay will be sadly short but I could not recommend Beggars Roost more highly.

Our dad has been in Woodside Hall since December 2024 and from the first time we walked into the entrance it felt the right place for him to be, it is a wonderful setting and it doesn't feel like a nursing home. He receives great care and all the staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble. The staff keep him safe and comfortable, he always appears happy when we visit. Both the staff and managers keep us updated regularly and respond to any adjustments to his care that we request.

Since my mother's arrival, the care she has received has been exceptional. All staff members at Beggars Roost are consistently cheerful and always willing to assist, often exceeding expectations. I highly commend Beggars Roost for their outstanding service.

My 91 year old father has been at Woodside Hall for more than two years when he was admitted after an acute stroke and also suffering from multiple medical conditions. The care he has received has been exceptional. As a family we are supported and kept informed. My father has thrived on the interaction and socialisation at the home. He is treated as a friendly, intelligent gentleman with a great sense of humour. The care is thorough and professional and the staff treat residents and their families with respect. We are always updated on any changes to Dad's condition. Sindhu (the home's manager) has been a constant source of knowledge, support and reassurance and Tanya (the home's Administrator) is a delight - always helpful and informative.
