Overall Experience

Mum has been at Fallowfield for the past 18 months. The home is beautifully kept as are the large gardens. I always receive a friendly welcome when I visit. I am kept up to date with any changes in staffing or policy via emails and the relatives' meetings. I very much appreciate the photo newsletters

from the activities teams so I can see the activities that have been going on each month.

I usually see Mum in the lounge on my visits and this is where the activities team work. I have observed how patient, caring and hardworking the activities team are.

If I have a specific query to raise on my visits, I can usually find an appropriate staff member able and willing to help. Once or twice unfortunately, I have needed to highlight to the staff a health or presentation issue with Mum that appeared to have been missed. As a general rule, however, Mum appears content and well looked after.

Overall Experience

My mother has now been resident at Fallowfield for around 3 years. She started off in Fallowfield, recuperating from surgery, and was able to transfer to another care home after about 6 months. After a year or so in that care home, her deteriorating mental and physical state meant she had to transfer

back to Fallowfield. Here she is now more or less bed-bound, although the staff do manage to get her out most days to join others for dinner and activities.

Overall, we have been very pleased with her care, and feel that the staff do their best and are kind and attentive. The house and gardens are lovely and the activities organisers really do a wonderful job. My mother seems generally happy and content. She loves the home-cooked food, has never wanted to go back to her own home, and initially did not want to move to the other home because she liked the staff at Fallowfield so much.

Overall Experience

Mother is a resident and I have always been very happy with the care and support she receives.
The staff are excellent and standards high .
The nursing team and manager always inform me promptly when there is a concern and decide an appropriate corse of action .

Exceptional Care and Wonderful Staff
My Grandmother was a resident at Fallowfields Care Home, and I can't praise the team enough for the outstanding care and support they provided. From the moment she arrived, Ashleigh and her team showed genuine compassion, professionalism, and warmth that made both

her and our family feel at ease.
Every member of the team including nurses Lillian and Farin, went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable, well looked after, and treated with dignity. The communication with family was excellent, and it was clear that the wellbeing of the residents is their top priority.
We are incredibly grateful for the kindness and dedication shown by everyone at Fallowfield. Thank you for making such a difference during a difficult time.

My 88-year-old mother,who was recently placed at Fairlight Residential Home following an assessment by Social Services.
Mum suffers from severe dementia and was admitted to hospital prior to moving to Fairlight due to her inability to care for herself and a urine infection. Social Services concluded

that a residential placement was the appropriate next step, as she could no longer safely live alone.
Since her move, she has been noticeably anxious and agitated, struggling to adjust to her new environment, which is understandable given her dementia and the drastic change from living independently to a communal setting. Despite this, it is now evident that Fairlight is unable to manage her complex dementia needs.
Most concerningly, I was informed by Fairlight in a single phone call that an ambulance had been called and Mum was being sent to hospital, even though she was not exhibiting serious illness. This lack of communication is extremely distressing.

Overall Experience

My mum, spent her final few months at Fallowfield and we couldn't have asked for a better environment for her to spend her time being cared for. Every single member of staff at Fallowfield went above and beyond with their care for mum and she was made to feel at home immediately after moving in. The

activity program was varied and had something for everyone no matter what their ability. The menu was varied and nutritional and mum always enjoyed the food on offer every day. The care that my mum received was excellent and wouldn't have wanted her to be anywhere else. The staff were so genuine and welcoming and I felt like I was part of the family when I visited every day. Mum sure was in the best place and I will miss my daily visits!

I cannot express enough gratitude for the care my grandmother received at Sloane House Nursing Home. The staff was incredibly compassionate and attentive, treating her with dignity and respect at all times. They went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being, providing personalised care

that truly made her feel at home. The facilities are clean and welcoming, and there are plenty of activities to keep residents engaged. It's a relief to know that my grandmother was in such good hands. Highly recommend Sloane House to anyone seeking excellent care for their loved ones!

My grandad has been here many years and receives the best of care. The grounds are beautiful to walk around and always well-kept. Staff are always friendly and attentive. There are lots of activities and outings to keep residents busy if they wish to participate.

Overall Experience

What an amazing nursing home. The care, respect, kindness, and empathy that they gave my elderly aunt was exceptional. My aunt was bed-bound, doubly incontinent and in advanced stages of dementia.
I tried to visit weekly and without fail a member of staff be it management, nursing staff, carers, or

even the chef would pop their head in and my aunt would give a warm smile, this made my life easier knowing that she was happy. My aunt always looked clean and smelled fresh, I felt that the team at Sloane Nursing Home really knew my auntie, even though she was unable to verbally communicate her needs.
The communication from the management team is to be praised, I would receive regular updates be it GP visits, updating her medication or just about her well-being.
If you are looking for a nursing home that can care for your loved ones as you would yourself. This is the place. It has a warm homely feel and you are made to feel welcome. I would have rated them excellent.

Overall Experience

Mum has received good care from the staff at Fairlight. We have been kept up to date at all times by friendly staff. When there have been issues, they have been addressed and dealt with quickly. In general, we have been pleased with the care Mum has received at Fairlight. Our only real concern was the

poor standard of food.

My mother spent five very happy years in the home of Fairlight. All the staff were always happy to help and assist, even through the difficult times whit Covid. Mother loved Victorian buildings and believed she was at home with her dementia. Many thanks to all.

Overall Experience

The month-long stay in Fairlight was the best experience over many years of disability. I enjoyed the garden too it was really beautiful. On my last day there I was fortunate enough to visit the garden and enjoy its unique design and plants. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Thank you

Overall Experience

This care home is in a beautiful setting with a lot of space for residents to do activities or spend time with visiting relatives and friends. My father moved into Fairlight following a serious illness which left him very frail and thin. He benefited from the great care and support provided by the Manager

and her team of care and support staff. Over the years he has lived in Fairlight he has enjoyed many of the activities, outings (numerous) and walks in the extensive grounds. Now age 92, he has frail moments and I appreciate the good care he is provided. The staff are trained well and keep me up to date with any changes or concerns regarding his care. He is very happy, has always been able to make his own choices, and is comfortable and well supported.

My mother was very well cared for at Fallowfield. All the staff were friendly and attentive to her needs. Mum enjoyed some activities, especially painting and puzzles. The entertainment staff were very helpful and encouraging. The room was comfortable and looked out onto the gardens and lawn.

I will start by saying don't do it. This place is awful, the 'cant do' attitude appears to stem from higher up and it's toxic. Within a week my relative said he wanted to go back to the hospital. I can't speak for all the staff as I only met a few and they seemed to be managers of some sort, there was

a guy who pushed my uncle's wheelchair who was really nice but seemed like a temp.
The routine of this place is you sit down there and be quiet, they are always too busy and have endless excuses why they cannot do things, simple things like wanting to go to the toilet and "you'll have to wait we are busy". I began calling at 9:30 on my Uncle's 92nd birthday to wish him the best and by 1 o'clock I was still getting excuses why I couldn't speak to him. The admin woman had a massive chip on her shoulder and tells me I'm being aggressive rather than dealing with the problem, creating a whole new one totally unrelated. I was annoyed not aggressive. Not enough words allowed to type more or I would.

Uncle came for respite and improved during his stay, he began walking again, began using our downstairs lounge but he was frail and chose not to have visitors/calls daily. On his birthday you began calling at 9.30 despite we ask calls be after 10.30 to allow for morning routines. Uncle declined to come down from his room where he was enjoying cards and presents for your call. You refused to call our mobile/speaker and continued to call the home all morning. You had pushback from our admin team to protect our staff from your aggressive language, as no one has to tolerate this from you. Ours is a peaceful care home, with the normal routines and care required to take the best care of all our residents. All our staff are valued and respected, good at their jobs and should not have to tolerate this behaviour from you in the mercifully short time you engaged with us.

Overall Experience

The home is very warm and welcoming and is in a very grand building and setting. All the staff, from management and admin to nursing and support staff, have been really supportive of my mother-in-law and the family as a whole. Unfortunately, Mum's terminal prognosis made her stay very challenging, but

we were supported very sympathetically until the end.

Overall Experience

Given my father is restricted to bed and his room as a result of his fragility and his own wishes, the facilities are fine. Staff are attentive to my father's needs.
Cleanliness is excellent. My father is treated with dignity in the main.
Relevant professionals are involved in my father's care to

maintain a healthy balanced weight and diet. The staff and management are all friendly and helpful.
