Woodlands care of mum over the past 3.5 years has been excellent. The individual, person-centred care from the well trained and attentive staff have made her final years very happy ones. Mum often said "I like it here, the staff are kind to me " they took time to get to know what she liked to join in with, especially the music and singing activities, craft and table top sessions where the staff sat alongside encouraging and finding out about the residents lives and likes and dislikes. The mealtimes are especially carefully organised, with home cooked food from the resident chefs who frequently survey the residents about their views of the menu. As relatives we have always been kept fully informed of mums changing needs and every staff member acknowledges us when we visited mum, updating us on her health and general well being. Mum passed away this week after a short illness and as a family we all agree that the staff at Woodlands are an exemplary team. Thank you for your care of her.

Saxonwood Care Home have been absolutely fantastic looking after my Mother, the Staff are professional, helpful and go beyond the point of being just a carer , I can't thank them enough for the past 3 years, Rooms are clean and tidy every visit, food is lovely and the activities put in to entertain the residents is 2nd to none, I wouldn't hesitate to in recommending Saxonwood to anyone who asks, nothing seems to be to much trouble, what a fantastic team , Thank you again for your dedication and support, knowing Mum is safe and well cared for the past 3 years has been a godsend , when we could no longer cope, Thank you all again

Always happy, caring atmosphere. Mum always clean and as tidy as possible. Only negative point is the financial department at Head Office. Statements are never sent nor invoices. Caused huge problems when dealing with ESCC., and when they are sent, it is far too confusing. It has cost me over £1000 in accountants fees to sort. Hopefully after all this time we are straight!

I cannot give enough thanks for the care and security given to my mum constantly by all of the staff and management. I speak for all of my family in that allow us all great peace of mind when we have full confidence that our dear mum is looked after 27/7.

Actually a comment on the five years that my stepfather has lived at Saxonwood, sadly dying one month short of his 95th birthday. In fact, looking at the first instance, it was March 16th five years ago it became home, and a wonderful, if not ideal, one, which he grew into, with friends and warmth, among staff and fellow residents, and good food (mealtimes always his favourite time of day), a full day of activity. He adjusted to not being at home, and became alive in a way after being at home by himself for some years. I think we can only be enormously grateful to you all and to those who strongly endorsed the choice. Heartfelt thanks.

Good solid care from friendly staff. Group activities available if you want them, good range of food with regular specials. Homely feel to the place, you're not isolated and there is always some activity going on. Staff do a good job of fancy dress on the odd occasion! Edge-of-town location at the end of a side-street means low traffic, easy access for emergency services. Good car park for visitors

Perfect in every way! Staff excellent - kind and caring. Cannot fault it. Mum seems settled and generally content after a difficult start. Her room is very comfortable too.

Saxonwood is an excellent home with caring, committed staff. Meals are varied and nutritious and chefs are well aware of residents' likes and dislikes. The care my friend gets is second to none. Rooms are well-kept and very clean. Staff at Saxonwood are unfailingly kind and compassionate, and I would not hesitate to recommend Saxonwood to anyone seeking care for a friend or relative. Saxonwood is really a home from home.

A quiet, safe care home with very caring staff and management. The rooms and views are excellent and calmy. Good communication back to the family. Would recommend.

My father has become a resident of Woodlands and I could not be more pleased with the home. The building is well maintained and kept clean. He really enjoys the food, which can be a challenge with him. All the staff are great. They are very caring and have endless patience. Highly recommended.

My dad came for 2-week respite. He seems to have been happy and taken part in the activities. Should he need further time in a care home, I would be happy for him to return.

This was a last minute booking. Immediately upon walking in, I could see that this is a happy, homely place. All the staff I came in touch with were lovely. The food looked fabulous, which would make my dad happy. It is clean, comfortable and run by kind, caring staff. Will definitely use again. The most important thing, of course, is that my dad was happy!

Calm, inviting atmosphere. Clean, bright room. Food selection excellent, all home made. Staff very obviously caring, compassionate and friendly. A lot of thoughtful effort goes into making each resident feel welcome and valued. Gentle coaxing with smiles and positivity from all staff at all times. A very happy place to live with emphasis on bringing out the best in each day.

I cannot fault the care that mum receives here. The staff are kind and thoughtful, know the residents' likes and dislikes and all their individual needs. The activities are well thought out and relevant. The carers appear kind and sympathetic to the residents' needs. Very happy knowing mum is safe and cared for.

We have just had a review meeting which was comprehensive and highlighted how woodlands care staff put the residents foremost in their thoughts. Our family are over the moon with mum's care and would recommend any one looking for a happy, caring home for their loved ones to consider Woodlands.
