Always happy, caring atmosphere. Mum always clean and as tidy as possible. Only negative point is the financial department at Head Office. Statements are never sent nor invoices. Caused huge problems when dealing with ESCC., and when they are sent, it is far too confusing. It has cost me over £1000
in accountants fees to sort. Hopefully after all this time we are straight!
Reply from Lizzie Gurr, Marketing & Communication Officer at WoodlandsThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear your kind words about the caring, happy atmosphere and the support your mum receives - that means a great deal to our team, who work hard to make sure residents are comfortable, well cared for and treated with dignity.

We're genuinely sorry to hear about the difficulties you've experienced with financial processes and your liaison with funded care from ESCC. We fully understand how stressful and frustrating this must have been, particularly when it resulted in additional costs for you.

We share a yearly statement and if payment is made by card, rather than direct debit, we send a monthly invoice. However with ESCC and third-party top ups the arrangements can be different.

Thank you for your patience in working through these issues, and we're glad to hear things are now feeling more settled. Your feedback has been noted and if you have any concerns or need further support, please get in touch.

Actually a comment on the five years that my stepfather has lived at Saxonwood, sadly dying one month short of his 95th birthday. In fact, looking at the first instance, it was March 16th five years ago it became home, and a wonderful, if not ideal, one, which he grew into, with friends and warmth,
among staff and fellow residents, and good food (mealtimes always his favourite time of day), a full day of activity. He adjusted to not being at home, and became alive in a way after being at home by himself for some years. I think we can only be enormously grateful to you all and to those who strongly endorsed the choice. Heartfelt thanks.
Reply from Lizzie Gurr, Marketing & Communications Officer at SaxonwoodThank you for your wonderful review and we enjoyed the five years where your stepfather was part of our Saxonwood family, along with your visits. We appreciate and understand whole heartedly that moving to a care home can be an anxious and stressful time for some people, and sometimes it's a decision that is hard to make. However, as we often find, when people move to Saxonwood they thrive - enjoying the delicious home cooked food, the variety of activities and social interactions with fellow residents and staff - a real boost to their mental health and wellbeing. Again, thank you for your kind comments and please do visit again in the future.

Good solid care from friendly staff. Group activities available if you want them, good range of food with regular specials. Homely feel to the place, you're not isolated and there is always some activity going on. Staff do a good job of fancy dress on the odd occasion! Edge-of-town location at the end
of a side-street means low traffic, easy access for emergency services. Good car park for visitors

Can't praise the staff at Oakwood Court enough. When it was decided my Mother-in-Law needed some respite care after a period of illness, we were amazed how helpful efficient and quick they were to help us through the process. From paying the home an initial visit to checking in my Mother in Law was
just 48 hours. The quality of the room was first class and once again have to mention how lovely the care staff were.
We brought my Mother in Law home today after a successful 2 week stay and none of us would hesitate in recommending Oakwood Court to friends, family or others.

We had a wonderful Christmas party at Oakwood. All the staff were welcoming and helpful and very caring to the residents. Recently we brought friends to visit my sister and their reaction was - they have never visited such a lovely care home as it is at Oakwood Court. One of the visitors is a retired
nurse and she was overwhelmed with the comfort, cleanliness and friendliness of Oakwood and the staff. Well done all.

They have also adapted the care to take care of her deterioration due to Alzheimer's. They have done a great job in what can sometimes be challenging circumstances, our family are
very grateful knowing that our mother is in safe hands.
