I had a very good experience at Victoria Chartwell despite the ongoing building work. The care has been excellent, I cannot praise the staff enough for their sympathy and support, and for the quiet way they carried out their duties. Help with every aspects of need was available, and I was encouraged to help myself as well. There was a commendable effort to include residents in decisions affecting the home, together with family members. The home has a very real sense of community. The building presents particular problems because of age and construction of building. The control of noise should be a priority given thin walls and echoing corridors. Wagons and trolleys that do not clash and rattle would help.

Whilst at the home I was treated with care and patience at all times. I was encouraged to help myself whilst they kept a good eye on me so I wold not hurt my self. They help me turn my life around and encourage me to look to the future again after my stroke. I cannot praise my treatment any more as it was perfect.

My mum stayed at Victoria Highgrove from June till Sept. I cannot fault the staff they have all been amazing - friendly, supportive, professional and fabulous from day one. The high level of care my mum recieved has been instrumental in getting her to the stage in her recovery where she is now home again after her stroke in may. I would highly recommend this amazing care home to others who are looking for a safe, fun and caring place for a family member.

Arrived at Victoria Chatsworth Nursing Home after breaking my ankle for re-hab. Found this home - staff exceptional very welcoming, helpful couldn't have asked for more!

I came here after a big operation on my stomach and the care and attention given to me by all the staff here has been first-class.

Dad was admitted to Victoria Highgrove Nursing Home on a fast-track referral. During his first month he has received wonderful loving care from all the staff. He is currently pain-free due to immediate interventions and remains comfortable. I can, as a retired RHN, highly recommend this nursing home, it has loving, caring and professional staff.

My friend spent about two years in Highgrove as she came to the end of her life. I cannot fault the nursing, care, compassion and patience all the staff showed her. She regarded the place as her home. * unfortunately my friend did not wish to participate in activities!

Victoria Highgrove BN3 6QD is by far a wonderful nursing home in the whole of B'ton + Hove from the moment of entering the building your welcomed with such warmth and sincere care. For the residents its like a home from home. While settling in can be difficult? not here in Victoria Highgrove. The staff make the transition so easy for the family and friends its a great comfort, not just knowing this but witnessing the amazing staff which manager Emma has put together a unique team. Day & Night staff blend and work really well together. She & all the senior staff, the carers to cooks, cleaners & laundry staff should be immensely proud of themselves. I cannot recommend Victoria Highgrove enough. Whoever should stay here - short or long term will be extremely lucky to be supported by such a wonderful team.

Was sent from hospital for respite care following hip operation. Staff were caring and welcoming I was treated with dignity. Premises were clean and welcoming decor. Bedding was changed regularly and patient clothes also. If hot drinks were asked for out of usual meal times they were provided without query. You felt comfortable as times. Visitors were welcome and tea/etc was provided if requested for them also.

I was given a warm welcome from Eliza and some of her staff. I was only a short term resident but I was catered for. The food was lovely and freshly cooked. My room was small but it was clean. I was given a lovely bath and hair wash that a carer helped me with. She treated me with respect and dignity. I was a short term patient but treated very well.

My stay has been excellent.

I came here for rehab. The staff have been fantastic always smiling. The food is really really good. Staff member arranged a chiropodist, who came next morning. Have enjoyed my time here.
