My Dad was in Byway for 4 years. The care was superb especially his end of life care.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming.
I cannot recommend Byway House enough. They go way beyond what I would expect of them.
The food is always freshly prepared and visitors are welcomed with
tea and cake.
Byway was home from home for Dad.

- Manager and care staff know residents and family very well.
- Able to provide any information required.
- Clean, bright, highly engaged, friendly atmosphere.
Staff very efficient, professional yet caring. Everyone who enters is treated like an old friend.
I have no concerns about any of the residents
at the Home. Staff fully engage with visiting clinicians, medical professionals and casual visitors. The interaction between care staff and residents which I have witnessed on several occasions is superb.

Our father was a resident at Highgrove House for over a year. The care he has received has been simply exceptional. The team are compassionate, skilled, kind and respectful and communication is good.
When you entrust your beloved Dad to be cared for by others you hope that they will be treated with
respect and given the dignity he deserves and I can honestly say that this has been the case in his time at Highgrove. He has felt safe and looked after. The facilities and food are good and plentiful and he's
enjoyed the activities such as art and music and he's found a great love of singing whilst there!
My brother and I are so grateful. Thankyou.

Great to visit my brother, well dressed and sometimes joining in with the entertainment. The care given by the carers is great. My brother praises all the food that he is given, by what he says there is plenty of variety. When my sister and I visit we are always offered tea and cake and it is always
lovely. Overall I think I am happy with everything about High Grove House.

I am not here a lot but all the visits have been friendly and obliging staff.
The snacks, tea and coffee time include cake etc.
I have not seen a room or meals as served nor do I deal with financial, so no answer.
Facilities are restricted to as seem short visits.
In general I do not think my
brother could be in a better place.

My sister-in-law has had the most wonderful support and care at this place - The Beeches. The staff are very aware of her needs and adjust their behaviour, attitude and work accordingly - right down to the fact she no longer talks - but they have made signals and winks to exchange. It makes my sister-in-law
very happy. She is now coming to end-of-life but there is still much input. Thank you.

Byway House is an exceptional home from home. It's like walking in to a warm hug. The staff are friendly, kind and knowledgeable . There is alway a big welcome when I visit , always an offer of tea and cake and nothing is too much trouble to make life as normal as possible for my friend. The best bit
( easily the drummer) is that I can still enjoy activities with my friend in the comfort of her home.

My close friend has been at Byway House for a few years. The home is more like a home, and is called a Residential Home for the Elderly. Residents have their own rooms, my friend having one of the bigger rooms. The staff are very caring and friendly. If there's any problems they sort it with kindness
and great care. Being a small home, the residents are all known to each other and can ahare meals in the dinning room, or join in with excersise, flower arranging and other forms of entertainment. The residents can go out shopping with staff or family. Family are always included in any events the home put on. I would recommend Byway House to anyone needing a home from home for their famil/friends.

The staff are very friendly and caring. Mum would enjoy a walk up the byway but the carers as often too busy. Mum enjoys the drumming as she finds it very therapeutic. Mum also enjoys the flower arranging as she finds it very stimulating. Mum enjoys the food as the choices are excellent. Mum is very
happy in the byway.

Hi K, Thank you for your review. every review is greatly appreciated. we have loved looking after mum for the years she has been with us.mum loves her morning routine and as previously discussed especially of late mum has declined her walks up the Byway with staff. we will always continue to offer this to mum as we know this is important to her. there has been 1 or 2 occasions where mum has wanted a walk during our personal care morning hours and unfortunately these were unable to take place at that precis time, staff will then offer mum a walk when they are available which will be within the morning hours.

The Beeches Care Home is a wonderful place. A home from home. My aunt is extremely happy here and the surroundings match her previous home. The care staff have built wonderful bonds with my aunt. I see this whenever I visit. I am known to each member of staff and they recognise straight away who my
relative is. A testament to getting to know their residents and the residents' relations. Can't recommend the care home highly enough.

The Beeches is an absolute golden find. The location, building and rooms are all wonderful and homely, but what really makes the difference is the staff - all long-standing (no agency) and the friendliest, most caring people you could meet. I really cannot think of anything bad and we are so very grateful
to The Beeches for making our aunt so happy and cared for. Christmas party was superb too!

After more than two years as a volunteer at this excellent care home, I want to share what I enjoy about the home. My role has been to lead fortnightly painting sessions as a volunteer, after my retirement as a mental health nurse specializing in dementia care. The environment at Highgrove House Care
Home is designed to meet the needs of people with dementia. There is good signposting and reminders around the house to keep people in touch with the time, date and place where they are living, with attention to the seasons and relevant calendar events. Photographs and artwork are placed to encourage conversation with the residents which helps to orientate them and helps them to feel part of a home. The residents are kept in touch with the community through regular community events where they, their families and volunteers come together. The care team is motivated and committed because of energetic and skilful leadership.

My mother was looked after at the Byway House Care Home for eleven years after entering the home with arthritis. A lot of the staff were consistent during this time and she considered them as fiends more than carers. She later progressed into dementia and was sometimes difficult but as a care home,
they continued to care for needs. The home is small and friendly, close to the village centre and within walking distance of the beach. Being small, the home isn't able to offer the same level of facility as larger homes but Mother preferred the family atmosphere. My sister and I never had any second thoughts about the Byway.
