We are so happy my Mum chose to go into Caer Gwent when at 96 she could no longer look after herself. It is a wonderful place it has recently been redecorated, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, modern and smell lovely. The entertainment is top notch, every time I go in there is someone singing, playing
instruments or Sammy (the entertainment leader) is playing a quiz, reading or the residents are gardening in the beautiful garden or doing art. The dining room is so pretty. Laid up so nicely with flowers and other decorations. The residents have an amazing choice of food and something always seems to be cooking. The afternoon cakes are freshly made everyday. And are delicious. The staff are so kind and caring and very friendly. They are always eager to help my Mum with whatever she needs. The front office staff and the manageress are very friendly, love to chat and have a laugh. It truly is a wonderful place and we are so happy my Mum is there.

Went in to see my friend last week. As usual I was in just after 3pm. The team trolley had been round but the lovely Sammy went to fetch us both a drink. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are all so welcoming and helpful. They take their time to have a nice chat too. My friend is looked after
very well, enjoys the food and is looking so well now. I have enjoyed some of the homemade cakes too! Its a wonderful 'family' feel, beautifully decorated but the staff make all the difference. I really enjoy my visits too. I would thoroughly recommend.

From entering the reception, warm greetings and a sincere welcome from cleaners who do an excellent job in keeping it all clean and safe, and they acknowledge/interact with residents. Carers are exceptional in the way they care for all the residents, sometimes under extreme pressure. They are all very
very caring. Management, from what I have seen are all in the residents' interest. Activities I feel need to be catered for individuals who do not like loud music or lots of other residents in one place. I repeat again, all carers excellent in empathy/and know each individual's needs.

Mum has now been in Caer Gwent for just over 3 years, she has a lovely quality of life, is able to join in to all the activities as and when she would like to or she can go to one of the quiet areas to read or entertain her visitors. They have a full list of activities from arts and crafts to potting
up hanging baskets, along with regular people coming in to sing or play musical instruments.
Mum has a choice for her meals and if she fancies something different the chef always tries to accommodate her. She has made some lovely like minded friends and is very happy, which in turn makes us happy.
Thank you to the hard working team at Caer Gwent for all that they do to make our mum, and the other residents, so comfortable.

My mother in law has received excellent care since her admission last summer.
The staff are all friendly and approachable. She has developed a special relationship with Hannah who delivers excellent care often washing her hair and painting her nails. She really does go above and beyond.
We have been
able to bring several items of furniture from her home which helped her settle into her room.
Her weight is monitored regularly and her diet is supplemented when necessary.
She allowed to exercise freedom of choice as to whether she joins in with the scheduled activities or sit quietly watching tv which she prefers.

Mum has been a resident for two years and from day one we, as a family, have been very impressed with the care that she receives each day. She fitted in well with other residents, which was not only down to her own demeanour at the time, but also how staff carefully and thoughtfully settled her into
her new home. There are always a wide range of activities on offer which Mum continues to enjoy.
As the inevitable decline that dementia brings start to affect Mum I have witnessed how staff encourage in different ways, using their empathy and skills to ensure Mum continues to enjoy her surroundings with the dignity that she deserves.
The care and attention to everyone's needs is outstanding and over the last two years we feel that we have become part of the Haviland House 'family'. Dementia is a journey that impacts the entire family and on many occasions, we have appreciated their personal guidance and pastoral care towards us. You are always greeted with a smile by all members of staff

All the staff are extremely professional and friendly and treat residents with genuine care, treating them as if they are their own family!!
I can imagine this can be extremely challenging at times, especially with some lonely or distressed service users, particularly if neurodivergence comes into
play as people age! Absolute Earth Angels!!!
The food is reported as extremely good and heads above other places from experience...like hotel meals everyday!! (From a somewhat fussy eater!) Gran especially likes the personal service from the chef who takes time to speak to diners himself, or so im told!
From a very grateful granddaughter.....thankyou.. on behalf of myself and my family, and Gran!! Xxx

My Mother continues to enjoy excellent care from the staff of this wonderful home. Both my brother and I, live overseas and it gives us great peace of mind that our dearest mother is looked after so well by all the members of staff that work at Care Gwent. On a recent visit with my mum, she advised
that all of the people who worked at the home were kind, helpful and responsive to her needs. What more could we ask for? We receive regular updates on her care from Eleni and her team and offers of Facetime with mum as an extra level of contact. Mum likes her room and particularly enjoys the many musical recitals provided by the home. I have pleasure in recommending this home to anyone who would want their kin to enjoy their final times in such a wonderfully presented and staffed home.

It takes a while to trust to another in the care of a mother, but mum had decided that she was ready to accept residential care when she moved to Lindfield.
Two years in with her dementia slowly progressing, she has accepted the care offered in a way we couldn't have previously thought would be possible.
Mum loves her new home, except when she doesn't, and then her relationship with the staff is secure enough to allow her to continue to accept and receive the care offered.
The standard of care provided by the home is high and mum enjoys good relationships with all of her care team. Generally the continuity of care, which is important to mum is good, and staff are able to make her feel special.
The home takes pride in the plethora of daily activities which mum gets a lot of enjoyment from.
In addition mum has special dietary needs which the home works hard to accommodate.
Mum's decision to move to Lindfield was a wise one.
