Disgusting and dirty my loved one got aspiration infection and dehydration barley see the workers only changed her a 12pm whenever I would visit misreble place where they've neglected patients should be shut down ambulance crew raised safe guarding with them as they took 40 minutes to escort downstairs
in emergency this was in 4 days stay only

Staff at Portway House are very polite and welcoming whenever I visit. My mother is well cared for and looked after, particularly during and after illness. Portway House is always spotlessly clean and tidy, which is noticed as soon as you enter the building. Each room and floor are kept in an excellent
condition. The residents are happy to be there as well as any visiting family members. All are treated with respect and dignity.

My mother moved into the home in 2025 she settled well from day 1. Her mobility wasn't good but the staff worked with her to get her walking again, something we didn't think we would see. All the staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. We definitely made the right move in choosing
Portway House. Mom is very happy and well cared for. We would highly recommend this home. Well done to all the staff for such excellent care.

Jim received high-quality care during his time at Portway House. We could not have asked for better care. The staff, all of the staff we met, were highly professional. They were patient, very caring and instilled trust. A lovely, spacious, well-equipped place. A peaceful, kind and caring environment.
I thoroughly recommend this incredible place.

Manager Faye is always available. Macy and Gail are always so friendly and really helpful. Due to health complications, my brother is very difficult to care for. Michelle the nurse and the other caring staff are really patient and understanding and he is really well cared for.

My sister came to live at Portway House February 2025. On moving into her new home everything was made effortless, we are a large family and still supported us all with respect and professionalism. My sister's room is spacious, comfortable and clean. My sister is totally at home and enjoys the connection
she has with all staff. My sister is a very different person to the lady who moved in 9 months ago, this is attributed to good care, good nutrition, a safe and warm environment. When I visit all the staff are very welcoming, have a good knowledge of my sister and her needs. Thank you.

Mom spent 9 months in Portway House Care Home. During her time she was well looked after by the staff involved in her care. She always looked well cared for and clean. The staff followed the wishes of the family of what clothes to wear. Mom was very challenging with her behaviour and the staff brought
out the best in her. I value the input she received.

My auntie has been in Newbury Manor for 6 weeks in the short space of time, she has been cared for from management to admin to care staff, domestic chef all have been exceptional in the care provided. No job is too much.
I will book my place here too.
