My Mom spent the final seven days of her life at your care home, and although it was one of the most difficult times our family has ever faced, the kindness, compassion and dignity shown to her, and to us, made it as peaceful as it possibly could have been.
Every single member of staff was warm, caring, respectful and genuinely compassionate. Mum was treated with such tenderness and dignity. She was always beautifully clean, fresh and comfortable, and it was clear she was being cared for with love as well as professionalism.
What meant just as much was the way the staff cared for my dad and me. They always had time for us, answered our questions, reassured us, and supported us through every step of saying goodbye. We never felt like just visitors - we felt genuinely cared for too.
Mom died peacefully with us by her side.
Thank you simply doesn't seem enough, but from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for everything you did for Mom, your kindness will never be forgotten

Your kind words will be passed onto the whole team at Portway House. Thank you for allowing us to care for your loved one and again for your kind words.
