My mother was placed here temporarily after leaving hospital. Unfortunately, I should've checked the place out in person before she was put there. I relied on reviews on the website, and although I suspect some of the areas in the home on the ground floor are quite different, having seen the place on the tv over the past couple of months and the pictures on the website , the room where my mother was placed, on the first floor, was of a low standard. The room was in bad need of decoration and the adjoining toilet and wash basin were dysfunctional and in need of replacement. The standard of cleanliness in the room was not great either. Some of the staff were very helpful and kind, but others were not so accommodating. Overall, not a great place for your loved one. If you are offered a place here, proceed with caution and check it out properly first.

My dad has settled in well, had a few issues since he was admitted which were sorted after speaking to Faye (the manager). Staff are very respectful and helpful.

My 83 year old uncle was accepted by Warren's Hall Nursing Home after months of delay in finding suitable 24 hour care following a simple operation. When he arrived he was very unwell, unkempt, unshaven and dirty. The staff at Warren's Hall were immediately attentive, interested in him and what he needed. Within 24 hours several necessary referrals had been made to improve his care. By the next morning he was back to being my uncle, shaved, clean and comfortable. The attentive nature of the staff extends to relatives as well.There are drinks and snacks available for visiting family. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Unfortunately my uncle was at end of life when Warren's Hall took him on. They were fantastic and the quality of his life at the end could not have been better, they were also by our side when he passed. The home has a fantastic atmosphere and all the staff are wonderful. The nurses are informative. The carers are fantastic. I highly recommend this care home.

My Grandad moved in last September, it wasn't an easy thing to do but since he been at Court House his health has got better and he is in a much safer place and more importantly he is happy. The place is clean and tidy and the staff are really friendly and so helpful updating me on my grandad regularly. I admire the staff so much it is not an easy job but they do it with a smile and are very welcoming.

My mom was only in this home for 6 days before she passed away. She received fantastic are and support from all of the staff. The staff genuinely care and are so kind and compassionate. I can't praise them enough they went above and beyond. They made my moms last few days very comfortable. God bless you all.

Disgusting and dirty my loved one got aspiration infection and dehydration barley see the workers only changed her a 12pm whenever I would visit misreble place where they've neglected patients should be shut down ambulance crew raised safe guarding with them as they took 40 minutes to escort downstairs in emergency this was in 4 days stay only

It is a lovely nursing home, my sister is well taken care of, staff are very friendly and pleasant. Nothing is too much trouble.

Warrens Hall is a fantastic home. The whole team work collaboratively to ensure person-centered care. My auntie is very set in her ways. However, the team go above and beyond to keep her comfortable, respect her wishes and ensure her needs are met. The team keep us well informed. Would recommend!

Staff at Portway House are very polite and welcoming whenever I visit. My mother is well cared for and looked after, particularly during and after illness. Portway House is always spotlessly clean and tidy, which is noticed as soon as you enter the building. Each room and floor are kept in an excellent condition. The residents are happy to be there as well as any visiting family members. All are treated with respect and dignity.

My mother moved into the home in 2025 she settled well from day 1. Her mobility wasn't good but the staff worked with her to get her walking again, something we didn't think we would see. All the staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. We definitely made the right move in choosing Portway House. Mom is very happy and well cared for. We would highly recommend this home. Well done to all the staff for such excellent care.

Jim received high-quality care during his time at Portway House. We could not have asked for better care. The staff, all of the staff we met, were highly professional. They were patient, very caring and instilled trust. A lovely, spacious, well-equipped place. A peaceful, kind and caring environment. I thoroughly recommend this incredible place.
