My Grandad moved in last September, it wasn't an easy thing to do but since he been at Court House his health has got better and he is in a much safer place and more importantly he is happy. The place is clean and tidy and the staff are really friendly and so helpful updating me on my grandad regularly. I admire the staff so much it is not an easy job but they do it with a smile and are very welcoming.

I can't thank court house care home enough for the care and support they give for my grandad I will forever be grateful

My Grandson was admitted to Court House Care Home whilst awaiting his bungalow to be completed. He was there for two months. The staff were marvellous and I cannot thank them enough.

My sister was looked after at Court House Care Home for several years. Even in challenging times communication and care was second to none. Court House feels like a real home with real family values. The staff are amazing.

Sadly, after many years as a visitor to Court House for multiple family members, the standard of care provided has deteriorated. There appears to be a significant lack of investment in both the training and support for the staff and in the facilities and equipment. These have been reported and official investigations are in progress.

My sister went to live at Court House Care Home after a stroke left her very ill and unable to look after herself. The first months following her stroke were extremely difficult and distressing for everyone to experience, but the care and attention to her needs by the staff was truly exceptional. Gradually with their unstinting care, she improved enormously and became the healthiest and happiest that she'd been for years. Communication with the team has always been great, we've been kept informed of any changes in her health, medicines and moods promptly. The level of compassion and genuine kindness shown to my sister has been exceptional. We will always be grateful to the staff for helping her achieve her best life and one that she genuinely enjoyed.

Our experience of Court House was a very positive one. Mum was extremely happy there and very well looked after. Everyone from the home made time for her and treated her with dignity and compassionately. We (all the family) were made to feel at ease, there was always a cuppa on hand, and were kept right up to date with Mum's medication and needs, etc. All staff were impeccable! The room was clean and bright and so homely. They looked after us all, right up until Mum passed away, we, as a family couldn't have asked for a more caring home, we actually miss them all. A*.

My 99-year-old nan was admitted to Court House due to her frailty and increasing care needs in late 2023. She (and we) were made extremely welcome by the friendly team. She had a happy few months there. Nan always said exactly what she thought but the staff were great with her. Sadly she was placed on end-of-life care in May and I can't thank the staff on Midsummer enough. They communicated fabulously with us and allowed us to visit as often as we needed, no matter the time of day or night. In the latter stages, she struggled to eat or communicate which was heartbreaking. What warmed my heart was to see the care taken by staff as they would bring her favourite custard and feed her. Even then she still managed a smile. When she passed away the team was nothing short of fantastic. I can never convey how much their kindness made all the difference for us and I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart. I will never forget them and will always be in their debt. Thank you team Midsummer.

Where do I start? My mum was placed at Court House on the EOL pathway. The lack of care was despicable to say the least. Care plans and daily care notes were not filled in appropriately. The meals were far from restaurant standard. The call bell system is definitely not state-of-the-art as advertised. Someone on the EOL pathway should be checked on every hour, my mother was left 6/7/8 hours on her own in a tiny room on the day she died, call bell out of reach and at the end of the corridor, bed-bound. If someone had checked on her then maybe at the very least we as a family could have been there in her final moments. The complaints procedure is long and pointless, the staff lie to try and cover up their tracks, and they refuse to comply with council complaints regulations. I genuinely would not send my worst enemy to this place.

Lovely staff, always willing to have a chat. Mum has advanced dementia. In the early stages, she lived with us, which with hindsight was very useful for our understanding of how difficult this condition is. Caring for her was very draining.
I know her care needs have increased manyfold since we passed over the batten to Court House. They run with it, without complaint.
We always get updates by their regular calls to us and any falls, etc. get notified almost immediately.
Where we have given 4 stars, they relate primarily to what is in effect an old building.
I'm sure when the new building is operational it will be straight forward 5 stars across the board.

Spot on care!

I cannot thank the lovely care home staff & management enough for the kindness and care they have continuously shown my dad from the moment he arrived in late February. Dad was very poorly when he arrived at the care home and the previous couple of months prior to the move had been pretty awful. From the moment Dad arrived the amazing staff immediately set about getting Dad in a much better state and immediately to control all his meds, catheter supplies, etc. I'm so very grateful for the high standard of care Dad is receiving now he is at Court House Care Home. The staff I have met over the past 6 weeks (across all levels/job roles) have all been kind and professional. It's given me a huge piece of mind knowing Dad is well cared for and I can now spend quality time with him rather than dealing with nonstop nightmares. I wish I could name all the amazing staff but there are too many to mention—a huge thank you to all of you. Please know - you are all making a huge difference.

Our uncle came to Court House very poorly. I cannot believe the improvement in his condition; he was suffering from a suspected third stroke. He arrived here weak with bed sores, poor speech and very unsettled. In a few weeks, he is spotlessly clean, alert and engaging through the fantastic care he has received. His bed sores are healed, his medication is sorted, and he has seen the correct medical professional enabled by the great care team in place. The staff genuinely care. Fabulous communication to family. Lovely room. Five staff care. Very grateful.

My nan went to Mid Summer House in Court House Care Home on a palliative care package. The staff at Court House have been amazing, very accommodating to all of us as we are a large family. They have treated my nan with dignity and respect throughout and adapted to meet her needs. The carers on shift the evening she passed away showed genuine care and compassion for not only my nan but all of us as a family and I cannot thank you enough for allowing us all to be with her and keeping her comfortable in her final hours.

After viewing several care homes for my mother we settled on Court House Care Home because of its proximity and the warm reception from staff members as we viewed, together with a feeling of family which was palpable.

In the three and a half years my mother was a resident, we felt she was cared for in a conscientious manner, both physically and mentally.

During my time there I would say it was difficult for me due to the Covid-19 situation and all the restrictions that this caused. My rehabilitation from my strokes was extremely slow due to the therapies being virtually stopped. Along with the non-visitors/lockdown etc. I really struggled to cope with the boredom and not being able enough to do things. I did get on with most of the staff, who were my lifeline whilst in there. I would like to thank those who looked after me during my stay.

The staff were always very polite, caring and took time with our family and the resident to keep us up to date. The establishment was nosy at nights, and our resident felt isolated at times. Covid restrictions hampered their rehabilitation, and records were not kept up to date in the office files relating to outpatient and other meetings/appointments; we rarely knew what was the up to date situation re-care, but overall, did a good job in difficult circumstances. Property urgently needs updating as it is very old and shabby looking in places.
