This place is very poor in every aspect of the care its legally obliged to give. The residents are left unattended in the lounge for long periods. The staff are always sat downstairs out of the way. Vulnerable adults in this care setting have knowledge of front door codes to exit the building unattended. Certain residents are obviously medicated in excessive levels resulting in withdrawn and somber misdemeanors.

Regular staff are the true commodity of this service, their dedication and level of engagement make this a great little service.

My son has lived at Camber Lodge for the last 20 years. There have been a few changes in that time but always for the better. He is always pleased to see me but more than happy to say goodbye. I know from his body language that he is always happy, but when he is not it's a good sign that he is perhaps unwell and the home is quick to pick up on this. I could not imagine him anywhere else. That is most definitely his home.

My friend had a daughter living at home with a severe learning disability and physical health problems, the family got to a point where they were unable to care for her at home. Although didn't want to put her into a home. In the short space of time, a social worker got involved who was absolutely fantastic and introduced us to the care home, I watched the family struggle to let go but the staff worked intensively and ensured that their daughter had several visits to the care home before moving in. Every time we go to visit, even at the last minute, they have been fantastic and I have seen changes in my friends and how happy they are to see their daughter living in a wonderful place with pleasant staff and residents. I have also been to visit and understand why my friends are settled and happy for their daughter. It's been about three years since she has lived there.

I was welcomed to the home and all the staff were very pleasant and looked after me. I enjoyed my meals there and I have no complaints at all.
