Mum's been in respite for a couple of weeks now. We were very nervous about putting her into a care home, but the staff at Summer Fields have helped and supported us so much during this emotional time, we felt reassured that mum would be happy there ... and she is! We can call them or visit mum anytime.
They answer all our questions fully and they've made us feel like nothing is too much trouble. As for mum, she settled in immediately, which is testament to the team and how they've helped her. There's always something for residents to do, with films, bingo, activies, music and dancing. Mum is so well cared for and we've seen a positve difference in her already. They're able to provide the care for our mum that we simply can't and if mum can't be at home, then Summer Fields is definitely the place we want her to be and her smile says that mum agrees. A huge thank you to all the team x

My mum moved in May last year, she has amazing care from the staff, they let her call me when she gets anxious, she has settled in well, even when she thinks she works there, the staff will give her something to do. Mum is always happy when we visit, her room has a view of Liverpool as well.

I have found that the treatment my mum has received to be of a high standard.
The staff have a genuine regard for the welfare of the residents and engage with them in a friendly and professional manner.

Very dark and dingy. My husband was here for two weeks respite and will never be going back there!
Went in to see him and he was not dressed properly, had no pull ups on only his jeans and was told he dressed himself, do they not check if they have undies on, he had someone else's pyjama top on that
was two sizes too small for him. Sitting in the lounge he was kept in the quiet side as they have a quiet side and a lively side. When I asked for him to be taken to the lively side in the day I was told oh they are too busy to have another there! Would never ever recommend this place to anyone.

Especially when I know we all work so hard to meet the varied and complex needs of the residents. However we take everyone's comments on board, negative or otherwise and look at what we can do to improve. What must be acknowledged, at least in order to have some context, is that from the day your husband arrived, he was resistant to placement and refused any input from care staff and expressed challenging behaviours when any intervention was attempted by staff to meet his needs. I'm sure you will understand that it then makes it very difficult for staff to address the issues such as personal care with him and hope goes someway to explain why you found him in the state of dress that you did on visits. As I understand it, this was explained to you on several occasions by senior staff and at the time no concern or complaint was raised to me either. Should you wish to call me at the home to discuss further, please do not hesitate.

I was looking for a nursing home for my brother and after visits to other nursing homes, which I didn't like, I was so pleased to have found Summer Fields Care Home. I was immediately struck by the friendly atmosphere and the kindness of the staff, including management. The residents are treated with
dignity and there is a calming atmosphere.

When visiting my wife, I found the staff to be consistently attentive and helpful. My wife is always clean and tidy and mainly in good spirits. Her room is always clean and tidy.

My dad has been at Summer Fields for just over a year now. It is the best place that he has been in. The staff are wonderful, my Dad says that the food is good (apparently he often has seconds), and his room is nice. I feel confident that he is being looked after and well cared for.

Mum has been treated with dignity and excellent personal care, encouraged with diet and fluids especially as due to illness she has had a lot of weight loss, staff are very welcoming and caring especially one staff member in particular. Not sure of the names of the other staff yet just getting to know
them, thank you for giving myself and family peace of mind knowing she's in good hands.

My mum came to Summer Fields in late November. It has taken her a while to settle, as we expected, but know we couldn't have chosen a better home, she is so well looked after... All the staff are amazing and great with Mum and encourage her so much on a day-to-day basis. She has great fun with them
all, and nothing is too much for them. All our family have been made to feel more than welcome. Summer Fields is spotless throughout. Would highly recommend it. The grounds are also lovely. Nice, quiet setting, with lovely outside space for everybody to use. Couldn't be happier. Thanks to all the staff.

Kind, caring and approachable staff at Summerfields. Dad is looked after well. I am very happy with his care. Communication is fantastic too from staff through such a difficult time for all. Very secure, so no worries about his safety.

My beautiful and loving mother has been part of the Summer Fields family for a number of years, and from the moment she arrived, she has been treated with nothing but kindness and love from all of the wonderful and amazing staff. I know that Mum has been happy, and that makes me feel at ease.
Nothing
seems to be any trouble for the staff in caring for Mum, and I know that she is comfortable at all times, and although her memory has deteriorated, I know in my heart that she loves all the staff, and on her behalf, I thank them all from the bottom of my heart. I have made friends with the staff; I treasure their friendship, and I will hold the love I have for them forever.
The staff at Summer Fields are truly exceptional in their calling, and they know exactly what I think of them, as I tell them every time I visit Mum or call.

My mum has been living at Summerfields Care Home since January 2023. The staff have been incredibly caring of Mum and supportive of our family since day one. It was very quickly borne upon me that the home really does care about the people they are looking after. It has also been made very clear to
the family that they are there to support us all, too. We are always made welcome. There is a lovely 'family feeling' to the place, which has impressed all of our family when visiting. Thank you to all of the staff for looking after Mum so well and for making our family feel so welcome. The staff go above and beyond on a daily basis, and I suspect they do not grasp how much of a positive impact they have. Thank you.

My lovely mum passed away recently, and I just want to say from the bottom of my hear - thank you to all the wonderful and amazing staff. My mum was so very happy here; they treat everyone, including families, with dignity and respect and are so professional, they really are fabulous, a wonderful group
of people where nothing was ever too much trouble, and the care and attention my mum received were second to none, and the support they gave to me and my family was amazing. I would, without hesitation, recommend this care home.
You all made my mum and me so happy, I have lost my lovely mum, but have gained some truly lovely friends, and I will never ever forget this; thank you, Summer Fields Care Home, for everything; you truly are beautiful people.

Our dear friend passed away this morning peacefully and was surrounded by loving and caring staff. How blessed that he was at Summer Fields. The staff were professional with a collective huge caring heart. He was treated with love and respect even after he passed. The staff are so much more than nurses
and carers; they are angels quietly going about caring for our most vulnerable people. As visitors, we were treated as family, sharing our grief together. My friend was loved by all. The staff went above and beyond to make sure he was loved and respected. For that, I will always be grateful. God bless the staff at Summer Fields. I will always remember you with fondness and appreciation for loving him the way we did. They were diligent in keeping him safe and protected.

My mum had to be admitted to a care home during the 2nd lockdown in 2020. Because of Covid, I couldn’t go and visit any home due to the restrictions, so went on the recommendation of a friend whose mum had been in Summerfield. It has turned out to be the perfect choice for my mum. She is so happy, well
looked after and I couldn’t ask any more from the staff who look after her. The staff are fantastic and so kind to her and always keep me informed of any issues, and if I have had any concerns, they have been dealt with promptly. They keep the residents entertained with lots of activities and karaoke that my mum seems to really enjoy. Thank you for looking after her so well. I couldn’t be more pleased I chose Summerfield for my mum.

Fantastic home. My mum is well cared for all the time, and the staff are so caring - they do so much for the residents.
The home does so much to stimulate the residents with the various activities; they love it when the singer comes in, and they can have a dance and a singalong. They have pamper days
where they get their hair and nails done, nostalgia and reminiscent days and arts and crafts.
My mum is so happy and has lots of friends.
The last few years have been hard for the residents and families, but the staff were brilliant as always.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, as is the home itself.
I'm so glad we chose Summer Fields as my mum's home; she has been living there for a good few years now and has always had the best care, and her needs are taken care of every day.
Well done to all the staff at Summer Fields - you are all amazing.
