My husband has dementia and other health challenges which I usually manage at home. He went into Cedar Court for a period of respite care in September 2026. The staff were very welcoming and supportive and he was allocated a lovely, comfortable room, with good facilities. He settled well and was made to feel very welcome, and he was given a very high standard of care specific to his physical and emotional needs. On his return home, he said he was very happy with the care he received, the staff were all excellent and he would be more than happy to return to Cedar Court for further respite visits in the future.

Very happy with mother's care the staff are excellent friendly and take time to chat with mum. The activity lady Kerry comes up with several different things for the residents to participate in. The food is of a good standard and the home is undergoing a refit so looks nice and new

My sister loves it at Abbey Court, the place and the staff. Would be nice to know when her room is going to be refurbished as a lot of the place has been. She's a bit concerned about moving out of her room while it's being done.

Staff are always polite and ready to help. They treat my mum like a friend and look after her well. They keep me up to date with phone calls and have helped with hospital appointments. If I need to ring and ask questions they will help. The service is much better now that there are dedicated staff on reception

The staff at the home are caring and attentive, displaying levels of patience with the residents consistent with hopes and expectations despite the challenges presented by the conditions of most of the residents. They always react quickly to problems - notably residents' health issues - and inform relatives promptly, although subsequent updates can be a little sporadic and we have had some difficulties getting responses at weekends when administrative staffing levels are reduced. Initially the interior of the home's physical appearance was rather "tired" but the investment made since the change of ownership has resulted in welcome improvements. Hopefully this initiative will continue to cover the residents' rooms. Overall though, we have no significant complaints about the home or the standard of care it provides.

my father has been in abbey court since october 8th 2025 i am very pleased with the care he gets lesley is extremely helpful and mary the nurse is helpful and always has a smile on her face . all the other assistants are very good.

He has had also good conversations with the part time weekend staff who bring extra insights into the home.

Don't know charges as we aren't involved in this side of care.

My brother has been living here for nearly two years and has settled in well. During that time Abbey Court has changed hands and it is good to see investment and refurbishment from the new company. Staff are attentive and helpful and my brother is well looked after. Happy to recommend.

My mum's journey which resulted in her being moved into the home was a very difficult one. Her dementia means she can be challenging but the staff from my experience handle her with care and compassion. Any concerns have been dealt with & communication is good. The home is comfortable and clean and mum is well fed and hydrated. Recently a new entertainment lady has been engaging mum with various activities including knitting and I really appreciate her efforts.

Nothing is too much and my husband is well looked after.

This place is sold to you as a professional dementia care home, If you value safety, dignity and well being of a loved one, give this home a miss. I would not trust them with a pet to look after. They take no notice of the care plan, do not do risk assessments, promise the earth and in return your relative ends up in hospital on end of life care after a brief 3.5 weeks stay.

Excellent care for my husband, support for myself from management & staff. I couldn't ask for more. Staff make it a family atmosphere. Always made to feel welcome. Thank you.

Dad came from another home which was not a good experience, dad is much happier and settled. The staff are all amazing nothing is ever too much meals are always very good. Management always available to answer any questions.

I feel happy we chose Cedar Court as the care is good and the staff always friendly and welcoming. They have tried hard to find out about my husband's interests, where he's lived and what he's done, so they can engage with him and help settle. I like the range of activities they do, plus entertainment from time to time. Keeps the residents occupied and they seem to enjoy it all. The staff go to great lengths to put on a special programme or sport on the TV if asked. Altogether the home has a good happy atmosphere, plenty going on and I would recommend.

Good quality care by people who understand the reasonably demanding needs of my mother. Visitors always made to feel welcome with a very flexible visting policy. Atmosphere within the home is good with various social areas and good private rooms for peace and quiet if desired.

The staff and facilities at Cedar Court are fantastic. The staff have made my gran feel very settled and at home. Nothing is too much effort.

After searching for a care home, my husband and I found the one on an unannounced visit. The staff were very friendly and showed us around without hesitation, the manager and senior nurse were especially helpful and gave good advice. Our dear friend was admitted and was looked after. He said it was like a hotel, and loved his room and the care he received. Thank you all for your services.
