Special care given at end of life Was shown right to the end and I was kept fully informed so that I was able to be there. I have always found the staff polite, very pleasant and most helpful and would thoroughly recommend the carer home

Very pleased with the care Mum receives, staff are very patient, supportive and caring. They have found a solution to help Mum be more comfortable and help her sit up so she can see what is happening around her. Mum has challenging behaviour and the staff always treat her with dignity, respect and kindness.
Thank you.

The care my father has received since being a resident at Cedar Court has been excellent. The staff supported him and us with the settling in process which was reassuring. Communication between staff and relatives is effective.
My father has been on several trips out and the activities within the
home setting are well thought out and organised.
The garden is a huge asset over the summer and was well used by residents and visitors.
Myself and other relatives are really happy to visit and see our father/Husband happy.

Cedar Court has been absolutely fantastic! They have excellent facilities and activities for my mother, the building itself is fantastic for use, allowing the residents chance to have outside time and more freedom to wander around while remaining safe and still being monitored by staff.
The place is
always clean and organised and the staff are so kind, helpfull and respectful! I genuinely couldn't have asked for a better place for my mum! 10/10 would recommend for your loved ones!

My last review was in December last year. Mum has now been at Cedar Court for 15 months and the care and respect she receives continues to be excellent. I visit her at least 4 times a week and always find her so very well looked after. If I ever have a question or query there is always someone to talk
to and I always feel heard. Without exception, every member of the team there, in every role are caring, kind and attentive. Thank you

Cedar Court was recommended to us. When we went to look around the nursing home, we knew straight away that Mum would be taken good care of. Though Mum only spent a short time at the home the end-of-life care she received was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and her room was
lovely. Cedar Court is an idealic place very peaceful and caring. Surrounded by fields and trees, and the lovely sound of the birds. We cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and support at this difficult time.

The location of Cedar Court is so peaceful. Well away from the main road and surrounded by farmland. Although the building is large, there is always a staff member nearby to attend to the residents. Carers, nurses and management are all present to provide care for the residents. The building is clean
and tidy throughout, including the communal lounges, private rooms and courtyard gardens. The security is also very good, with coded doors throughout. I am very happy that we chose Cedar Court for my Dad. He is in the best place he can be.

Great care home, feel my nan is looked after fairly well. Sometimes no staff around in the day room, however majority of staff are friendly, easy to speak to, and treat us all like family. Always feel welcome when visiting. One staff member in particular always goes out of her way to speak to us on
every visit, whether it's a quick hello, or a general chat. Only downside is when arriving (especially at weekends) when nobody is on reception, the buzzer doesn't seem to attract attention to staff, and therefore, can be waiting up to 15 mins to be let in to see our relatives. Overall though, it's a good care home and I would recommend.
Reply from Vicki Weller, Managing Director at Cedar Court Nursing Home

Thank you for your kind comments about the home being great. We will look into the points you raise about staffing in the lounges and reception cover at weekends, I'm sorry you have had to wait and we will address this.

On entering the care home we are always greeted with friendly smiling faces from the reception team. The manager, nurses, and carers are always very hard-working, busy, caring, and very helpful ,they are all friendly and approachable and always willing to help if you have any questions that need answering.
The entertainments lady is always working very hard everyday to find different things to keep all the residents interested and happy.

Generally good care and food is good. The manager is very helpful, as are both the receptionists. Regularly do activities with the residents like bingo, dominoes and painting sometimes. Mum likes the exercises which one staff member in particular does a couple of times a week.

My wife has been in Cedar Court for the past 5 months and in that time, I have seen a great improvement in her eating and drinking. The staff have worked very hard to make this happen. She is always clean and tidy looking. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, so overall I'm pleased with the care
she is receiving.

Wanted to say a big thank you to the staff and the care home for the high level of care that was provided for my mum, from arrival she was looked after, cleaned up and settled in quickly. Even though my mum didn't spend long in the home before passing away, we noticed such a visible difference in mum's
appearance. She was treated with dignity and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We were treated so well to, and through the hard times of losing our mum, the staff were so supportive. Thanks.

My husband has only resided at Cedar Court for a short time. I have been impressed with a number of things: The quality of furnishing etc. in the bedroom. The quality of food and how they cater for a vegetarian diet. The care and respect for him. How prompt they react to any situation regarding his
needs.

I can’t thank the staff enough for looking after my husband. The care they gave him was first class, they made all the family welcome and we were able to come and go as we pleased and I could return home knowing he was being well cared for. I would definitely recommend Cedar Court. I’d like to give

We came to visit during this year's Halloween party with an entertainer performing for the residents. It was honestly the most heartwarming and wholesome environment we have ever witnessed at a care facility.
The carers and nurses genuinely care so deeply for the residents. They were all singing and
dancing together. The joy in the room was extremely moving. What a wonderful family environment the staff there have created.
Well done Cedar family, you are all awesome!

What a difference a day makes! My dad recently moved to Cedar Court Dementia Care Home and within two hours of arrival, he was given a haircut, shave and a shower and transformed back to a man with pride and dignity he deserves. You simply feel the love when you walk through the door. Each and every
member of staff has a smile and greeting for you, they treat residents as if they were their own family. It is truly heartwarming for us as a family to see the level of care and warmth my dad is receiving after a terrible time in his previous care setting. He is back to eating and drinking and smiles all the time. He looks like my dad again. The manager has been a huge support and comfort to us all as a family and has helped make the transition seamless and we are finally able to relax knowing that he is not only cared for but cared about. The care home itself is so bright and calming, and the grounds are lovely. Thank you to everyone at Cedar Court Dementia Care Home who have not only changed dads life, but our whole family’s.
