My wife has been here for about 8 months now and she has settled in very well and seems to have accepted this as home and family. The entertainment is varied and she seems to enjoy most of it. The home is very clean and the carers are very caring and good at their job. Overall very satisfied with the

Mu has been at Cedar Court for nearly 4 years. When I first visited Cedar to view the home I was impressed with not only the home but the staff as well. From the day mum went into the home she was treated with the upmost respect. Her room is lovely and personalised to what she would have had in he rown
home. Mums dementia is advanced now but when I visit she is always dressed well and clean and most important happy. The Cedar family are amazing people. Thank you for what you do.

My mum has been a resident at Cedar Court for several years and has always been very well cared for and supported at every stage of her gradual decline due to vascular dementia. Mum's dementia is now very advanced so she has a complex care plan in place and all staff work really hard to ensure that
she is comfortable, safe and maintains her dignity. The home always has lots of activities, as well as regular healthcare, chiropodist and hairdresser visits.

Cedar Court have been exceptionally proficient in welcoming my Mother and her family to their home.
When visiting we are made to feel welcome and are kept updated of all aspects of Mom's care and her transition into the home.
As a family we are confident that Mom is receiving the highest level of

My mum recently moved to Cedar Court from another care home, and the difference has been clear from the start. Her overall appearance - with her hair and nails nicely done and her clothing always neat and well-chosen - really reflects the care and attention the team provide.
The staff are professional,
kind, and clearly experienced in supporting people with dementia. Communication is excellent - I receive regular updates and a weekly email with photos of what Mum's been up to, which is such a thoughtful touch.
Cedar Court is a well-run and well-led home with a lovely courtyard setting and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. I'm very reassured knowing Mum is being cared for with such professionalism and respect

Grandma has thrived since moving into this care home, she is happy and has put weight on. When she will not talk to her family and the staff come over to say hello she smiles. She seems to be happy here and very well cared for.

Cedar Court was recommended to me for their EMI care after two previous care homes were unable to cope with my partner. Although its a long distance from where I live I knew once I was shown around that my partner would have his care needs met here.
Obviously, there was a settling period and once
he'd been assessed and monitored, his specific requirements were realised ,we had a change of room and he has settled nicely.
Cedar Court is set in a lovely, peaceful environment, they also have a lovely courtyard style garden with tables, chairs and parasols which residents and guests have access to all day.
The staff are very friendly when I visit and there is a real family feel . They do a fantastic job caring for all our loved ones. There are numerous activities arranged throughout each week , bingo, fun & games, singing & dancing , with regular visits from local entertainers.
The management team are very hands on, helpful and supportive. They have an open door and are happy to chat.

Very pleased with the care Mum receives, staff are very patient, supportive and caring. They have found a solution to help Mum be more comfortable and help her sit up so she can see what is happening around her. Mum has challenging behaviour and the staff always treat her with dignity, respect and kindness.

The care my father has received since being a resident at Cedar Court has been excellent. The staff supported him and us with the settling in process which was reassuring. Communication between staff and relatives is effective.
My father has been on several trips out and the activities within the
home setting are well thought out and organised.
The garden is a huge asset over the summer and was well used by residents and visitors.
Myself and other relatives are really happy to visit and see our father/Husband happy.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.840)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.840) out of 10 for Cedar Court Dementia Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 25 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.840 for Cedar Court Dementia Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (247 Excellents x 5) + (45 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 293 Ratings = 4.84
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cedar Court Dementia Care Home is based on 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 registered maximum number of service users is 9, which has been reached with 25 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2024

I started off my career in the care industry as a domiciliary care worker almost 20 years ago, before changing to work in residential care. This is where I found my passion for working with people with mental health difficulties and dementia. I have worked my way from care assistant to registered manager. I feel a sense of pride when I have helped someone achieve something, no matter how big or small this may be. The smile on residents' faces means so much. I have faced many challenges throughout my career, but have always battled through to achieve the best outcomes for people, both staff and residents. I hope to inspire my staff to aim high and develop their career in the same way that I have. This is more than just a job to me.

We are more than a Nursing Home; we are a family unit. I have an amazing team to support me, and together we can make such a difference to people’s lives.
