My dad has been at Cedar Court after searching for the best Residential Care Home.
The manageress is not only understanding of residents needs, but also their families.
The manageress and her team work tirelessly to not only support the residents but their families also.

My sister in law was taken into Cedar Court dementia unit last July. I have visited several times between July 2020 and June 2021. I have found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I was particularly impressed with an anniversary tea that they surprised the family with, it was a very touching
moment and appreciated by all the relatives involved.

My aunt was admitted into the care home after a short stay in hospital in January, she has dementia and all the staff were and still are amazing, so caring, they are keeping me informed on my aunts individual care on a regular basis, especially difficult during the pandemic. I would highly recommend

Back at the end of July, I was given the heartbreaking news that my dad was at the end stages of dementia! The hardest decision I have ever had to make was to put him into palliative care! The hospital told me he only had weeks and wanted to get him somewhere comfortable to see him through his last
few days/weeks!
Dad was moved to Cedar Court dementia unit. The first couple of weeks were very sad, he looked very poorly. But slowly and surely Dad has improved! I believe the staff have given him the time and support that he so needed, and it’s quite clear that he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon!
Well done Cedar Court, my dad seams happy and settled and is almost walking again! You have given him the time and patience and made him realise that his time here is not over!
We, as a family, are so great full for giving us more time with him, and give you 5 out of 5 for all that you do!

In the time my husband has been in Cedar Court, 6 months I cannot fault the care and kindness that has been given to him and to me. With the pandemic affecting everyone in the home, everyone went that extra mile to protect themselves for the wellbeing of the residents and care workers. I cannot thank

I have found all of the staff at Cedar Court Dementia Care Home extremely caring for my wife in what is a very difficult time for her, adjusting to life in a home following the rapid onset of dementia during lockdown. My wife has settled as well as can be expected and this, I feel, is due to the care
and attention of the carers and nurses attending to her needs.
Unfortunately, I haven't been allowed to go into the home as yet, due to COVID restrictions, but I have been allowed regular visits to the outside pod which is a good compromise in the circumstances. However, thanks to the wonders of modern technology, I have had a video walk around and the facilities and cleanliness look to be very good. My wife struggles with technology now but the staff have helped her make video calls on a number of occasions or replied to text messages on her behalf.
The home are always happy to discuss any concerns I have and are quick to contact me if they have any concerns.

We most recently visited our relative within a visitor pod. We found this to be clean and well organised. Our relative is clearly well looked after and treated with respect and dignity. Staff friendly and welcoming.

My dad has been at Cedar Court Dementia Care Home for 4 years, the staff have always been very caring and very friendly. I'm confident that my dad receives the best care possible, they always ring me if they have any concerns about my dad. The rooms are lovely, the gardens outside are tranquil with

I am extremely impressed by the way staff care for the residents. They treat them at all times with care, dignity, respect and good humour. It is a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. From my observations, the staff seem to be overworked. If more staff were employed individual residents could receive personal attention. If the staff were paid the living wage, it would attract more qualified staff and provide excellent care.

My husband was a resident in the special unit of Cedar Court Dementia Care Home in Bretby View from August 2015 until he died in January 2018. I and our son and daughter cannot thank them enough. Their care and understanding of my husband's illness, Alzheimer's was outstanding. The fact that he could
not speak made his life very difficult but the staff were wonderful and learnt to understand and anticipate his moods and needs through his facial expressions and the noises that he was able to make. They talked to him, danced with him and included him in conversation. They treated him as an individual, with honest kindness and respect. In return he trusted them. Seeing how well he was being looked after made our lives much easier. His medical needs were met by outstanding nursing staff and a wonderful Doctors Surgery. Everyone being just as kind, friendly and supportive to us. I highly recommend the home to anyone and should I myself ever need such care, I and my family would be very happy for me to become a resident.

Our family is very pleased with all aspects of Cedar Court. The location is delightful and access very calming. The management and care staff team provide a tailor made service for all of the residents. They are approachable and professional at all times and always happy to assist in any way that will enhance the quality of life of my mother-in-law. As a dementia patient she has been difficult at times but they
all seem to know just what to say and do to give her a second to none service. We as a family also receive care when needed and things are explained extremely well.

I started off my career in the care industry as a domiciliary care worker almost 20 years ago before changing to work in residential care. This is where I found my passion for working with people with mental health difficulties and dementia. I have worked my way from care assistant to registered manager. I feel a sense of pride when I have helped someone achieve something, no matter how big or small this may be. The smile on residents faces mean so much. I have faced many challenges throughout my career but have always battled through to achieve the best outcomes for people, both staff and residents. I hope to aspire my staff to aim high and develop their career in the same way that I have. This is more than just a job to me.


We are more than a Nursing Home, we are a family unit. I have an amazing team to support me and together we can make such a difference to people’s lives.
