My mother has been a resident in Cedar Court Dementia Care Home for approximately three years and we have been happy in the knowledge that the staff have delivered the best of care in meeting all Mum's needs.

Unfortunately, Mum's condition deteriorated a week ago and requiring end of life care, so the staff not only carried on with their excellent care for Mum but also cared for us, her family, with compassion and kindness, outstanding in their care.

Thanking you for your lovely review, looking after your mum has been an absolute pleasure. She will be missed by us all. Love to you guys from your Cedar family.

As a family, we looked for a care home more suitable for my dad’s needs and closer to home. Cedar Court Dementia Care Home has shown genuine friendliness and caring to my dad and he is well looked after. He interacts well with the staff and has settled in so much better than I imagined. ThehHome monitors my father's health issues well, and if there is any concern, they let me know straight away. Family members, and especially myself, have been supported when we visit. Though early days, I am very pleased with the care Dad has received since he has been resident.

The staff here are always smiling and happy and they welcome you with genuine kindness and compassion. The service they have provided so far for my brother-in-law has been exceptional, they clearly treat all their residents with respect and dignity. He has settled in very quickly since moving in October 2021 and already has a great relationship with all the staff at Cedar Court Dementia Care Home, on visiting him, both myself and my daughter cannot believe how happy he is and how well he has taken to the change in environment. We cannot thank the acting manager and her team enough for making this transition for him so easy and it is so comforting to know he is in a safe place getting the care he needs.

I was looking for a nursing home for my uncle. I needed to move him closer to the family because he had fallen in his home, and I had serious concerns about his health and well being. A friend had recommended Cedar Court Dementia Care Home to me, I made an appointment to meet the manager. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine friendliness and caring not only from the manager but all the staff that work there.

I have since moved my uncle to Cedar Court Dementia, I can honestly say it was the best decision I have made. The care and compassion are outstanding not only with my uncle but with all the residents. This is the happiest and most content I have ever seen him in years. Cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you so much.

My mum was transferred to Cedar Court Dementia Care Home today from the hospital after three weeks following a fall. After a five-hour traumatic ambulance ride, she arrived and I met her with my sister. Obviously, such an anxious time. Everyone at Cedar Court helped to make this transition as good as possible. When I left Mum tonight, she was calm, reassured and relaxed in her new environment. This was down to the staff. Thank you so much. Her room is immaculately clean, and everyone was so kind. I have no doubts that we have made the right decision for Mum.

Mum was only in Cedar Court Dementia Care Home briefly before she passed away, but the care she received was second to none. The manager and her team of dedicated carers looked after her with great sensitivity, love and respect. Similarly, the way they welcomed our family when visiting Mum was wonderfully sympathetic and understanding.
Our wish would be that Mum transferred there sooner as she just might have been with us longer.

Moving a loved one into care is never an easy choice. Knowing the care experienced first-hand, I would recommend this home to anyone considering such a placement.

The manager has gone above and beyond the call of duty to welcome my mum, make her feel at home and meet her individual needs. The manager and all of her staff are so kind, warm and friendly - they show genuine care and concern for the residents they look after and every one of them shows compassion and understanding of the residents' needs. Mum had a beautiful, large, well-equipped bedroom while she stayed here, with a lovely view of the very pretty garden. Would not hesitate to recommend.

My dad has recently moved to Cedar Court at the age of 89. We couldn’t be more pleased with the care and support he has received from all staff at the home. He has lived alone for a long time and we were really concerned over how he would settle. He is happy and content and is clearly being well looked after, which brings us tremendous peace of mind. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for quality care for an elderly relative.

I recently reviewed Cedar Court, but today 3/7/2021 they have excelled themselves and have done something I've not seen for a good few years.
My husband was smiling whilst watching England play.
No one will ever know how much that smile means.
And it's down to the hard work, determination, and commitment of the manager and all of her team.

Thank you.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the team who have looked after my father-in-law during the last ten months.
When he was transferred from hospital to Cedar Court the initial thought was that he had limited time left with us due to his condition, but remarkably you have rebuilt his strength and willingness to survive as well as being supportive to the family.

Thank you all seems so little, but we are just so grateful for what you have done for my father-in-law whilst battling a pandemic.

I moved into Cedar Court in July 2020, I have been met with such kindness from the staff. I think it's brilliant here. I have a pet bird to look after. I like to water the plants in the enclosed garden and I have recently planted some veg. I get to go out and walk with the dog, I do like animals. I am able to keep some independence.

Last year after a short stay in hospital the doctors told me and my sister that there was nothing more that they could do to help my dad, and he only had a few weeks to live at the most, and that it would be in his best interest to move him into palliative care. A place was found for him at Cedar Court. That was nearly a year ago now but due to care and attention paid to him by the superb care staff at Cedar Court, he is still with us. I am sure if it wasn't for the Cedar Court team he would not have survived beyond the time given to us by the hospital and cannot praise everyone at Cedar Court enough.

My sister in law was taken into Cedar Court dementia unit last July. I have visited several times between July 2020 and June 2021. I have found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I was particularly impressed with an anniversary tea that they surprised the family with, it was a very touching moment and appreciated by all the relatives involved.

I started off my career in the care industry as a domiciliary care worker almost 20 years ago, before changing to work in residential care. This is where I found my passion for working with people with mental health difficulties and dementia. I have worked my way from care assistant to registered manager. I feel a sense of pride when I have helped someone achieve something, no matter how big or small this may be. The smile on residents' faces means so much. I have faced many challenges throughout my career, but have always battled through to achieve the best outcomes for people, both staff and residents. I hope to inspire my staff to aim high and develop their career in the same way that I have. This is more than just a job to me.

We are more than a Nursing Home; we are a family unit. I have an amazing team to support me, and together we can make such a difference to people’s lives.
