Review from Emma F (Partner of Resident) published on 14 October 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Cedar Court was recommended to me for their EMI care after two previous care homes were unable to cope with my partner. Although its a long distance from where I live I knew once I was shown around that my partner would have his care needs met here.
Obviously, there was a settling period and once he'd been assessed and monitored, his specific requirements were realised ,we had a change of room and he has settled nicely.
Cedar Court is set in a lovely, peaceful environment, they also have a lovely courtyard style garden with tables, chairs and parasols which residents and guests have access to all day.
The staff are very friendly when I visit and there is a real family feel . They do a fantastic job caring for all our loved ones. There are numerous activities arranged throughout each week , bingo, fun & games, singing & dancing , with regular visits from local entertainers.

The management team are very hands on, helpful and supportive. They have an open door and are happy to chat.

Very pleased with the care Mum receives, staff are very patient, supportive and caring. They have found a solution to help Mum be more comfortable and help her sit up so she can see what is happening around her. Mum has challenging behaviour and the staff always treat her with dignity, respect and kindness. Thank you.

The care my father has received since being a resident at Cedar Court has been excellent. The staff supported him and us with the settling in process which was reassuring. Communication between staff and relatives is effective.
My father has been on several trips out and the activities within the home setting are well thought out and organised.
The garden is a huge asset over the summer and was well used by residents and visitors.

Myself and other relatives are really happy to visit and see our father/Husband happy.

Cedar Court has been absolutely fantastic! They have excellent facilities and activities for my mother, the building itself is fantastic for use, allowing the residents chance to have outside time and more freedom to wander around while remaining safe and still being monitored by staff.

The place is always clean and organised and the staff are so kind, helpfull and respectful! I genuinely couldn't have asked for a better place for my mum! 10/10 would recommend for your loved ones!

My last review was in December last year. Mum has now been at Cedar Court for 15 months and the care and respect she receives continues to be excellent. I visit her at least 4 times a week and always find her so very well looked after. If I ever have a question or query there is always someone to talk to and I always feel heard. Without exception, every member of the team there, in every role are caring, kind and attentive. Thank you

Cedar Court was recommended to us. When we went to look around the nursing home, we knew straight away that Mum would be taken good care of. Though Mum only spent a short time at the home the end-of-life care she received was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and her room was lovely. Cedar Court is an idealic place very peaceful and caring. Surrounded by fields and trees, and the lovely sound of the birds. We cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and support at this difficult time.

The location of Cedar Court is so peaceful. Well away from the main road and surrounded by farmland. Although the building is large, there is always a staff member nearby to attend to the residents. Carers, nurses and management are all present to provide care for the residents. The building is clean and tidy throughout, including the communal lounges, private rooms and courtyard gardens. The security is also very good, with coded doors throughout. I am very happy that we chose Cedar Court for my Dad. He is in the best place he can be.

Wanted to say a big thank you to the staff and the care home for the high level of care that was provided for my mum, from arrival she was looked after, cleaned up and settled in quickly. Even though my mum didn't spend long in the home before passing away, we noticed such a visible difference in mum's appearance. She was treated with dignity and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We were treated so well to, and through the hard times of losing our mum, the staff were so supportive. Thanks.

My husband has only resided at Cedar Court for a short time. I have been impressed with a number of things: The quality of furnishing etc. in the bedroom. The quality of food and how they cater for a vegetarian diet. The care and respect for him. How prompt they react to any situation regarding his needs.

We came to visit during this year's Halloween party with an entertainer performing for the residents. It was honestly the most heartwarming and wholesome environment we have ever witnessed at a care facility.
The carers and nurses genuinely care so deeply for the residents. They were all singing and dancing together. The joy in the room was extremely moving. What a wonderful family environment the staff there have created.

Well done Cedar family, you are all awesome!

What a difference a day makes! My dad recently moved to Cedar Court Dementia Care Home and within two hours of arrival, he was given a haircut, shave and a shower and transformed back to a man with pride and dignity he deserves. You simply feel the love when you walk through the door. Each and every member of staff has a smile and greeting for you, they treat residents as if they were their own family. It is truly heartwarming for us as a family to see the level of care and warmth my dad is receiving after a terrible time in his previous care setting. He is back to eating and drinking and smiles all the time. He looks like my dad again. The manager has been a huge support and comfort to us all as a family and has helped make the transition seamless and we are finally able to relax knowing that he is not only cared for but cared about. The care home itself is so bright and calming, and the grounds are lovely. Thank you to everyone at Cedar Court Dementia Care Home who have not only changed dads life, but our whole family’s.

Cedar Court Dementia Care Home has a warm, inviting atmosphere. The team of staff, carers, always make sure the care is top priority, ensuring Dad is always kept happy and safe. The communication is great between staff to residents and also conversing with family at home when needed. The care my late grandfather received whilst at Cedar Court Dementia Care Home was second to none. He was well looked after and everything he needed was provided. It was a difficult time for all the family when he moved in there but the staff helped him settle in and reassured us all the way. They made the last months of his life happy and comfortable and showed nothing but love and care towards him. The staff truly go above and beyond and we are all very grateful.

My mum has been in Cedar Court Dementia Care Home now since June 2021 and I am very happy with the care she receives there, all the staff are amazing with her as her Alzheimer's can make her very angry and agitated at times. My brother is only 59 but has dementia. Since moving to Cedar Court Dementia Care Home he has been well cared for and is happy. He enjoys the centre courtyard garden which is totally secure. The staff are friendly and approachable. The building might be old but is well-maintained and spotlessly clean. I would recommend Cedar Court to anyone who needed specialist care in this area.

Louise JellibiJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2024

I started off my career in the care industry as a domiciliary care worker almost 20 years ago, before changing to work in residential care. This is where I found my passion for working with people with mental health difficulties and dementia. I have worked my way from care assistant to registered manager. I feel a sense of pride when I have helped someone achieve something, no matter how big or small this may be. The smile on residents' faces means so much. I have faced many challenges throughout my career, but have always battled through to achieve the best outcomes for people, both staff and residents. I hope to inspire my staff to aim high and develop their career in the same way that I have. This is more than just a job to me.

We are more than a Nursing Home; we are a family unit. I have an amazing team to support me, and together we can make such a difference to people’s lives.
