Hazelgrove has become my lovely Mum's new home as her battle with dementia progressed. Life on 'the outside' was becoming unsafe, and exhausting for my stepdad as her primary carer. Moving in here has increased her level of care to her needs. I feel relief that she is safe, and there are caring eyes on her 24 hours a day. The support from staff hasn't stopped there. As a family, we have also felt the 'warm hug' attitude from everyone we've encountered here, & couldn't be more impressed with the level of care Mum recieves. They do their very best to keep residents active & entertained and us family members are kept informed & updated with everything. It truly feels like our family has been extended & Mum hasn't just 'gone into care'. She's had her care needs elevated to a level that 'staying at home' simply couldn't have covered. I'll always be grateful to each & every one of you helping us all on this journey, but most of all for your kindness towards my beautiful Mum. Thank you. Jenny

My wife became a resident in Hazelgrove care home from the beginning of June 2026 and has been in there care since, as much as I miss her being at home with me I just could not care for her as the staff at Hazelgrove do 24/7.and there must be difficult times for them too. The garden has been a joy all through the summer and has made my visits so much more pleasurable and there always seems to be some activity being ongoing so never dull. Both Manager and staff seem tireless and there seems no segregation with the residents so all in all I cannot and would not find fault with Hazelgrove care home and staff.

We moved our mother here from another care home and the difference is massive. The staff are attentive, the care home feels like a big family. There is laughter and connection. I know I can visit my mum to spend time with her, not to check she is ok. So attentive xxx

My mum came into Buddleia House just over 3 weeks ago from another care home she was covered in bruises it was awful, Hower since being in Buddleia we have not noticed any bruising my mum is always up dressed and looking clean. Her bedroom and bed is spotless. The staff whether it be carers laundry staff office staff kitchen staff are always pleasent and very accommodating. Couldnt ask for anything more.

We moved dad into Hazelgrove after a long stint in hospital and because, despite best endeavours, not enough care could be achieved to keep him at home. I chose the home partly because it has beautiful gardens, which through the summer we used alot. From day 1 the staff at Hazelgrove were kind, caring and professionally efficient. they have taken the time to get to know dad personally, his history and his personality. He says he gets "just the right level of abuse" which means that he is seen as a person who likes to have some banter and not to be treated with kid gloves. Dad is also coeliac and very swiftly everyone in the home knew his dietary restrictions which has been such a relief. The home is also a montesourri which is an aboslutely great idea for our aged loved ones. It has so many events and small interactions to keep minds alert. Fabulous team at Hazelgrove, who provide a very personal service and get to know each resident personally, including their family. Dad has dietary needs which have been very well cared for and if he's sleepy they still make sure he isn't forgotten at meal times. They have lots of lovely activities for those who want to join in and families are encouraged to join in too. Very pleased with the care he is receiving.

Excellent care and friendly staff

Hazelgrove is a lovely care home the staff are amazing caring, and very kind I am very pleased with the care my dad recieves he is happy and well cared for I have no concerns the staff and management go above and beyond to help my dad and family members they comfort us when days are hard - Gemma showed us around before my dad came here she explained everything perfectly. This home is the most friendly, caring and understanding home I could wish for. Thankyou to all the staff and management.

Dad stayed at Hazelgrove for a period of 2 weeks post a hospital admission. Nigel and his team took great care of dad and were very attentive from the outset. I visited dad most days and saw first hand how hard the team work to ensure the residents are kept safe and well. There was also plenty of laughter and fun, with staff going the extra mile to engage with the residents. Thankyou from dad and I especially for his magnificent Birthday Cake, puddings galore and 'Knickerbocker Glories'!

Without Hazelgrove, I don't think my husband would be with me today. I recommend Hazelgrove 100% plus

Nigel (manager) had reassured us all from the very first appointment, when he showed us around this beautiful home.

Dad moved into Hazelgrove 2 weeks ago. All the staff were so reassuring. Dad has settled so well. The staff are super friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. We chose Hazelgrove for the lovely, homely feel, and wanted somewhere that dad could engage in activities, and he definitely is. The relief to know he is settled and looked after so well is immense. Nigel, admin staff, nurses, carers, kitchen staff and activities leader - Thank you, you are amazing.

Five stars for Hazelgrove Care Home. I've visited my mum here for over a year and the staff are consistently friendly, happy in their work, and treat residents like family. Warm atmosphere, great communication, and genuine care - we're so grateful to you all for all your hard work.

.After things escalated at home, we made the decision to put my mother-in-law in for two weeks' emergency respite to give everybody time away from each other. We knew she would be safe, but even on the first day, we could see her anxiety was gone and she was returning to her happy self. The staff welcomed her back like a friend. The daily activities kept her engaged and happy. Her overall mood improved, and we saw none of the previous anxiety she was showing at home. We were always kept updated. I am so grateful for the support, encouragement and kindness that was shown to her by all staff members

The care and support my mum received at Hazelgrove was truly exceptional. The entire team consistently went above and beyond to support both her and our family, taking the time to ensure she settled in comfortably and helping us navigate the transition.

I would like to extend a special thank you to April, Chris, Antonio, Grace, and Sophia for their unwavering presence and dedication. Additionally, the activities and events organised by Vicky brought a wonderful sense of joy to the residents' daily lives, and Nigel was always a welcoming and helpful presence upon our arrival.

We are deeply grateful to everyone at Hazelgrove for the genuine love and compassion shown to our mother. You will all be greatly missed.

My best friend is in buddleia house care home It is a lovely place in there it's spotless clean the oweners and the staff go above and behond to look after my friend and all the other residents they are always bussy doing activittie with them and the food always looks delicious overall I will give then 10 out of 10.

My mum has been a resident at Buddleia House for over 3 years. She suffers from severe dementia. We are very happy with the levels of care offered. The staff are outstanding and very caring and we feel my mum is very well looked after. The activities that the care home put on are of special note. There is always something going off to entertain residents and the place is regularly decorated celebrating different nations and cultures and annual events like halloween etc. The amount of effort that goes in to these things is excellent and particularly Christmas day when the decorations and table settings are exceptional.
