The mother-in-law needs constant care due to her age and condition. We always find her clean and cared for, and 'incidents' are dealt with immediately. Her medical conditions are constantly monitored, and updates are given. Since entering the home, we have gained peace of mind that all her needs are
catered for. All the staff are marvellous!!
Reply from Nicole Thompson, Home Manager at Milford HouseThank you for taking the time to write such a lovely and detailed review. Your kind words will be shared with all the staff :)

Mum has Alzheimers and moved into Coach House after a long stay in hospital, during which time her condition had significantly deteriorated. She'd lost her mobility, much of her language and virtually all of her self helps skills.
We chose Coach House for Mum as we had been so impressed on our initial
visit, with both the facilities and the wonderful team.
From day one, the staff felt like a family, giving Mum the very best medical, physical and emotional support (as well as supporting me when we suddenly lost my Dad, just a couple of weeks after Mum moved in. )
The staff have always kept me fully informed and I felt reassured every step of the way that Mum's needs were being met and her well-being was of the upmost importance to every member of the team.
The staff have worked incredibly hard with Mum using the Montessori approach to support her independence and now once again, her personality and confidence shine through. Mum's progress is a credit to every member of the team.
Reply from Nicole Thompson, Home Manager at Milford HouseThank you so much for taking the time to share such lovely words and a detailed review of your experience. I will share this with the whole team :)

Myself, my brothers and all of our family and friends are so grateful to Ashbourne Lodge. The manager Jim and his team have made this heartbreaking time more tolerable. My late mother was a resident during his final months. Her care was wonderful. The respect and kindness shown by all the members of
staff was outstanding. All our questions and needs were met from the first contact with Estelle and throughout. The accommodation, facilities and the many activities offered are fabulous, but it really is the lovely staff we wish to thank.
Reply from Jim Watt, Manager at Ashbourne LodgeThank you for your kind and heartfelt words. We are so sorry for your loss and feel honoured to have cared for your mother. It means a great deal to know that the compassion and support from the team made a difference during such a difficult time. I will be sure to share your lovely feedback with them. Your comments about our care, facilities, and staff are truly appreciated. Kind Regards, Jim

My father had been in respite here at Spencer Grove 18 months ago and we chose to come back for is nursing care in January 2026. I can't fault any staff member including kitchen staff, carers, nurses, management and cleaners. Your smiles, kindness and cups of coffee were gratefully received. Everyone

Dad moved into Hazelgrove 2 weeks ago. All the staff were so reassuring. Dad has settled so well. The staff are super friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. We chose Hazelgrove for the lovely, homely feel, and wanted somewhere that dad could engage in activities, and he definitely is. The relief
to know he is settled and looked after so well is immense. Nigel, admin staff, nurses, carers, kitchen staff and activities leader - Thank you, you are amazing.

.After things escalated at home, we made the decision to put my mother-in-law in for two weeks' emergency respite to give everybody time away from each other. We knew she would be safe, but even on the first day, we could see her anxiety was gone and she was returning to her happy self. The staff welcomed
her back like a friend. The daily activities kept her engaged and happy. Her overall mood improved, and we saw none of the previous anxiety she was showing at home. We were always kept updated. I am so grateful for the support, encouragement and kindness that was shown to her by all staff members

The care and support my mum received at Hazelgrove was truly exceptional. The entire team consistently went above and beyond to support both her and our family, taking the time to ensure she settled in comfortably and helping us navigate the transition.
I would like to extend a special thank you
to April, Chris, Antonio, Grace, and Sophia for their unwavering presence and dedication. Additionally, the activities and events organised by Vicky brought a wonderful sense of joy to the residents' daily lives, and Nigel was always a welcoming and helpful presence upon our arrival.
We are deeply grateful to everyone at Hazelgrove for the genuine love and compassion shown to our mother. You will all be greatly missed.
Reply from Nigel Allen, Manager at Hazelgrove Care HomeYour mum was very special to us, and she will be fondly remembered. We are deeply appreciative of your family's warmth, trust, and partnership. You will all be greatly missed, and our doors-and hearts-will always remain open to you all.
