Mum moved up to Coach House from the main house she seems generally settled and calm although her condition is deteriorating. There are fewer activities but I understand this has been addressed. She does not engage much which is not the fault of the staff. Staff are unfailingly kind and take the time
to respond when required.

Mum has come on leaps and bounds since coming into The Meadows. Mum has put on weight and through the care and dedication of carers and nurses mums pressure sore has nearly mended. The carers work closely with the nurses and family. You only have to query something and it is quickly followed up and
worked on. I can safely say that with mum being in The Meadows I can rest at ease knowing full well mum is being looked after.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
I would say this feels like home to my mother. The regular staff are wonderful and treat everyone with dignity. They try so hard to find out what the residents like/dislike and treat everyone as individuals. There is lots of humour and love in this home. All the regular staff deserve awards. I'm a little
concerned about the lack of commitment by some of the bank staff.
Reply from Rachel Squire, Registered Home Manager at The MeadowsThank you so much for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. We're delighted to hear that your mother feels at home here and that our regular team members have created a caring, respectful, and joyful environment. Your kind words mean a great deal to the staff who work so hard to ensure each resident is treated as an individual and with genuine warmth.
We also appreciate your constructive comments regarding our bank staff. We take all feedback seriously and are continually working to ensure that every team member - whether regular or bank - upholds the same high standards of care and commitment. Your observations will help us in our ongoing efforts to improve consistency across our service.
Thank you once again for your trust and support. It's a privilege to care for your mother and to continue building on what we do well while striving to enhance every aspect of our home.

Since the new manager started the staff seem happier and more relaxed the atmosphere has definitely changed for the better. Some decoration has been done, but a lot more is needed. Some of the areas are quite dull and outdated. The main staff are as amazing as ever - I do feel that some of the residents
need more specialised care that another home can offer and it does have an effect on the rest of the residents living there.
Reply from Rachel Squire, Registered Home Manager at The MeadowsThank you very much for sharing your feedback. We're so pleased to hear that you've noticed a positive change in the atmosphere of late. It's wonderful to know that the team's morale and the overall environment have improved, as creating a happy, welcoming home is at the heart of what we do.
We appreciate your comments regarding the home's dcor - it's something we're actively reviewing, and further improvements are planned as part of our ongoing refurbishment programme. Your observations about the varying care needs of residents are also valuable. We continually assess the balance of care and support to ensure that every individual receives the most appropriate level of attention while maintaining a comfortable environment for all.
Thank you again for your thoughtful remarks and encouragement. Your feedback helps us to celebrate what's working well and focus on the areas where we can continue to grow and enhance the home for everyone.

Sadly after being a resident in Buddleia House for nearly 4 years my Aunt passed away in August 2025. During the 4 year period she considered Buddleia to be her "home". All through her residency she received excellent care. During her short illness before passing the staff went above and beyond in their
care towards her. I will not forget that and I thank them for it.

I would like to submit a review of Buddleia House to acknowledge the excellent care being given to our Mother, she is an amputee who's wheelchair bound, she has also been diagnosed with vascular demetia. All her needs are met by staff, we as a family are particulary pleased with the activities and entertainment
provided by the home. My Mother is a person who has struggled with depression all of her life, as you can imagine its been harder for her in her present circumstances, the love and care she recieves has been outstanding.
