Excellent care and friendly staff

Hazelgrove is a lovely care home the staff are amazing caring, and very kind I am very pleased with the care my dad recieves he is happy and well cared for I have no concerns the staff and management go above and beyond to help my dad and family members they comfort us when days are hard - Gemma showed us around before my dad came here she explained everything perfectly. This home is the most friendly, caring and understanding home I could wish for. Thankyou to all the staff and management.

After visiting for last 6 months Milford House is consistently welcoming. Staff always very attentive and caring. Lovely homely atmosphere and I am able to feel at ease visiting and ensuring sister is well cared for. Sister in last residential home never got up each day and certainly didn't take part in activities so well done to all staff involved

Dad stayed at Hazelgrove for a period of 2 weeks post a hospital admission. Nigel and his team took great care of dad and were very attentive from the outset. I visited dad most days and saw first hand how hard the team work to ensure the residents are kept safe and well. There was also plenty of laughter and fun, with staff going the extra mile to engage with the residents. Thankyou from dad and I especially for his magnificent Birthday Cake, puddings galore and 'Knickerbocker Glories'!

Milford House beautiful surroundings! My mother-in-law seems to be very settled now? We've had some problems with her laundry issues! The staff are very friendly and supportive. ?

My father lost his wife in December 2024 and she was his rock. He would have been unable to manage at home on his own which became apparent when he collapsed at home two days after her death and had to stay in hospital for 28 days where we were advised by the health team and doctors that he had dementia and was impossible for him to return home without the constant care he had received from his deceased wife. as I live 20 miles away I am so content that he is in the best place possible and has the best care possible.

Compassion 10/10 for relatives too. Its a difficult & emotional process but all is very good.

We have been visiting mum for getting on a year now and have always found all the staff so helpful & friendly, nothing is to much bother. Mum is always telling me how good they all are. She says she feels like it's like being in one big family and is very happy here.

Without Hazelgrove, I don't think my husband would be with me today. I recommend Hazelgrove 100% plus

My dad is very well cared for at Milford House. All of the staff are lovely, and they genuinely care for my dad.The home is always doing activities with the residents and always welcomes us as family into the home whenever we want to visit.

Being a volunteer at Milford has been so rewarding. Not just for myself, but for all the wonderful residents.

My mum has been living at Milford House over 2 years, and during that time she has received excellent care The atmosphere is always welcoming and the staff very caring and cheerful. Relatives are treated like one of the family. So glad we chose Milford House. It is a very special place.

The staff are the key to the great service and respect given to residents and visitors. Food is of a very high standard. Like any place, issues can arise but the management is always available and find improvements and solutions. Highly recommend.

The mother-in-law needs constant care due to her age and condition. We always find her clean and cared for, and 'incidents' are dealt with immediately. Her medical conditions are constantly monitored, and updates are given. Since entering the home, we have gained peace of mind that all her needs are catered for. All the staff are marvellous!!

Happy easy going staff who made all the residents their number one priority. Clean and tidy, activities to include all residents and a calm friendly atmosphere.

My recent visit with my Mother was made very special by the kindness, thoughtfulness and love that the caregivers show and feel for the residents and fellow caregivers. I was fortunate to be there for VE Day, my sister and I had a wonderful time joining in

The staff have worked incredibly hard with Mum using the Montessori approach to support her independence and now once again, her personality and confidence shine through. Mum's progress is a credit to every member of the team.

Myself, my brothers and all of our family and friends are so grateful to Ashbourne Lodge. The manager Jim and his team have made this heartbreaking time more tolerable. My late mother was a resident during his final months. Her care was wonderful. The respect and kindness shown by all the members of staff was outstanding. All our questions and needs were met from the first contact with Estelle and throughout. The accommodation, facilities and the many activities offered are fabulous, but it really is the lovely staff we wish to thank.
