My father lost his wife in December 2024 and she was his rock. He would have been unable to manage at home on his own which became apparent when he collapsed at home two days after her death and had to stay in hospital for 28 days where we were advised by the health team and doctors that he had dementia and was impossible for him to return home without the constant care he had received from his deceased wife. as I live 20 miles away I am so content that he is in the best place possible and has the best care possible.

When ever we visit all staff are amazing, kind, caring & friendly.
I compare Milford to my own mum's care home and realize how much Milford xcells in all areas.
Mum-in-law has settled in well & speaks highly of staff & activities.
Love & laughter go along way.

Compassion 10/10 for relatives too. Its a difficult & emotional process but all is very good.

We have been visiting mum for getting on a year now and have always found all the staff so helpful & friendly, nothing is to much bother. Mum is always telling me how good they all are. She says she feels like it's like being in one big family and is very happy here.

Being a volunteer for our 'Knit & Natter' group, I have always been made to feel so very welcome!
So many happy faces, to greet me as I walk in and the kindness shown towards me is just so lovely!

Being a volunteer at Milford has been so rewarding. Not just for myself, but for all the wonderful residents.

The staff are the key to the great service and respect given to residents and visitors. Food is of a very high standard. Like any place, issues can arise but the management is always available and find improvements and solutions. Highly recommend.

The mother-in-law needs constant care due to her age and condition. We always find her clean and cared for, and 'incidents' are dealt with immediately. Her medical conditions are constantly monitored, and updates are given. Since entering the home, we have gained peace of mind that all her needs are catered for. All the staff are marvellous!!

My recent visit with my Mother was made very special by the kindness, thoughtfulness and love that the caregivers show and feel for the residents and fellow caregivers. I was fortunate to be there for VE Day, my sister and I had a wonderful time joining in

Mum has Alzheimers and moved into Coach House after a long stay in hospital, during which time her condition had significantly deteriorated. She'd lost her mobility, much of her language and virtually all of her self helps skills.
We chose Coach House for Mum as we had been so impressed on our initial visit, with both the facilities and the wonderful team.
From day one, the staff felt like a family, giving Mum the very best medical, physical and emotional support (as well as supporting me when we suddenly lost my Dad, just a couple of weeks after Mum moved in. )
The staff have always kept me fully informed and I felt reassured every step of the way that Mum's needs were being met and her well-being was of the upmost importance to every member of the team.

The staff have worked incredibly hard with Mum using the Montessori approach to support her independence and now once again, her personality and confidence shine through. Mum's progress is a credit to every member of the team.

Review from Frances M (Sister of Resident) published on 4 February 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

When it was necessary for my sister to have nursing care it was upsetting. I reviewed several and settled on Milford Care. I was still nervous when she first arrived at the home. As although you hope you have done right in the placement, you never know. However I needn't have worried. As from the moment she arrived they couldn't do enough for her......even accepting her little foilbles! She is always treated as an individual, not a number, shown respect at all times. All staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are well cared for and importantly happy. This really is a home from home and if I could give it 10 stars I would without hesitation.

I go into Milford House almost every day. The permanent staff are always welcoming and we always have lovely chats. However, I must say the temporary staff do not always say very much to both my Mum or myself.

On a positive note my mum is very happy at Milford Care and I know she is well looked after. This is a big weight off my mind and i really must thank all the staff involved day to day for that.

On my most recent visit I was met as usual with a cheerful welcome from staff, and my aunt a much appreciated member of the family. At a planned assessment meeting it was clear that my aunt is known, and the challenges she faces in her extreme old age are skilfully, professionally and kindly effected.

Mum has dementia and has been a resident of the coach house for a few years. Her condition is deteriorating and her mood is variable. No matter how Mum is, all of the staff are wonderful with her, patient and kind with a real concern for her wellbeing. The staff know us, we are greeted with smiles and it feels like we are part of a family. We are always kept informed about Mum's care.
