Myself, my brothers and all of our family and friends are so grateful to Ashbourne Lodge. The manager Jim and his team have made this heartbreaking time more tolerable. My late mother was a resident during his final months. Her care was wonderful. The respect and kindness shown by all the members of
staff was outstanding. All our questions and needs were met from the first contact with Estelle and throughout. The accommodation, facilities and the many activities offered are fabulous, but it really is the lovely staff we wish to thank.
Reply from Jim Watt, Manager at Ashbourne LodgeThank you for your kind and heartfelt words. We are so sorry for your loss and feel honoured to have cared for your mother.
It means a great deal to know that the compassion and support from the team made a difference during such a difficult time. I will be sure to share your lovely feedback with them. Your comments about our care, facilities, and staff are truly appreciated. Kind Regards, Jim

My father had been in respite here at Spencer Grove 18 months ago and we chose to come back for is nursing care in January 2026. I can't fault any staff member including kitchen staff, carers, nurses, management and cleaners. Your smiles, kindness and cups of coffee were gratefully received. Everyone
has supported us as a whole family until the day he passed away. I shall be forever grateful for the care you gave and the dignity you preserved for my dad.

Mum has been here for just over a month and has settled in really well.
The staff are second to none and very hands on and nothing is too much trouble.
Also the activities and motivation exercises are absolutely fantastic. My mum joins in most times and honestly it has done wonders for her.
Reply from Jim Watt, Manager at Ashbourne LodgeThank you for your kind words, we are pleased mum has settled in well and is enjoying the activities. I will share your feedback with the team. Kind Regards, Jim

Mother has been in Spencer Grove since 2021, she has received nothing but exceptional care, there are numerous activities for the residents, and the food is very good - sometimes wish I could eat there my cooking leaves a lot to be desired. The staff are attentive and sympathetic
Whenever I visit the
staff are all cheerful and friendly, the management team are always available to discuss issues and give advise were they can
As mother gets older and less mobile she is getting 'grumpy' and is not leaving her room much, the staff are excellent and cope with this with out issues.
This is an excellent home and the staff and management deserve a lot more praise than they get

The Care Home and staff were outstanding and looked after my mother very well despite the short time she was with them.
Their care and compassion shown not only for my late mother but to all the other residents as well. The birthday spread the kitchen staff laid on for mum and the family that visited
was beautiful as was the cake.
Many, many thanks again for your wonderful care. I have sent you all a thank you card.

I go into Milford House almost every day. The permanent staff are always welcoming and we always have lovely chats. However, I must say the temporary staff do not always say very much to both my Mum or myself.
On a positive note my mum is very happy at Milford Care and I know she is well looked after.
This is a big weight off my mind and i really must thank all the staff involved day to day for that.

When it was necessary for my sister to have nursing care it was upsetting. I reviewed several and settled on Milford Care. I was still nervous when she first arrived at the home. As although you hope you have done right in the placement, you never know. However I needn't have worried. As from the moment
she arrived they couldn't do enough for her......even accepting her little foilbles! She is always treated as an individual, not a number, shown respect at all times. All staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are well cared for and importantly happy. This really is a home from home and if I could give it 10 stars I would without hesitation.

My wife has dementia and I could not care for her properly myself. She is very well looked after and I enjoy visiting to spend time with her. It is always clean and everybody is helpful and nice.

My mother has been in Lavender Court for over ten months. As her needs have increased the home has responded promptly and always kept me informed. The Meadows care has my absolute trust that they are acting in my mothers best interests. Mum can be difficult at times, she is clean, well fed and her room
is kept clean. I visit every three days.
Reply from Rachel Squire, Registered Home Manager at The MeadowsThank you so much for your kind words and trust. It means a great deal to all of us at Lavender Court and the Meadows to know that you feel confident in the care your mum receives. She is such a valued part of our home, and we're glad to see her settled and well-supported as her needs have changed.
You are also a very welcome part of our community - your visits bring warmth not only to your mum but to many of our residents, who enjoy your kindness and conversation just as much. We truly appreciate the support and positivity you bring each time you visit.

On my most recent visit I was met as usual with a cheerful welcome from staff, and my aunt a much appreciated member of the family. At a planned assessment meeting it was clear that my aunt is known, and the challenges she faces in her extreme old age are skilfully, professionally and kindly effected.

Mum has dementia and has been a resident of the coach house for a few years. Her condition is deteriorating and her mood is variable. No matter how Mum is, all of the staff are wonderful with her, patient and kind with a real concern for her wellbeing. The staff know us, we are greeted with smiles and
it feels like we are part of a family. We are always kept informed about Mum's care.

Mum went to Milford House in early December for respite after an op. The staff have, without exception, been outstanding in making mum welcome and helping her to settle in. They are kind, understanding and supportive. They do and say all the right things, and they are really getting to know Mum well.
Their expertise and compassion shine out, and it is clear when we visit that they know all the residents so well. An example of this was choir practice, when with much humour and respect and knowledge of likes, dislikes and past experiences, everyone was warmly included, making it a very positive and enjoyable afternoon. Support for us as a family has been outstanding too and hugely appreciated, especially in the quite challenging Christmas period. Thank you all.
