I go into Milford House almost every day. The permanent staff are always welcoming and we always have lovely chats. However, I must say the temporary staff do not always say very much to both my Mum or myself.
On a positive note my mum is very happy at Milford Care and I know she is well looked after.
This is a big weight off my mind and i really must thank all the staff involved day to day for that.

The standard of care is excellent, and especially good to see is the empathy shown by all members of staff to residents. My Mum has really settled in and thoroughly enjoys many of the activities. I couldn't recommend it more.

When it was necessary for my sister to have nursing care it was upsetting. I reviewed several and settled on Milford Care. I was still nervous when she first arrived at the home. As although you hope you have done right in the placement, you never know. However I needn't have worried. As from the moment
she arrived they couldn't do enough for her......even accepting her little foilbles! She is always treated as an individual, not a number, shown respect at all times. All staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are well cared for and importantly happy. This really is a home from home and if I could give it 10 stars I would without hesitation.

My wife has dementia and I could not care for her properly myself. She is very well looked after and I enjoy visiting to spend time with her. It is always clean and everybody is helpful and nice.
Reply from Rachel Squire, Registered Home Manager at The MeadowsThank you so much for your kind words. We're so glad to know that you feel your wife is well looked after and that your visits are enjoyable for you both. It's lovely to see the bond you share and your visits mean so much to her and bring real warmth to our home.

My mother has been in Lavender Court for over ten months. As her needs have increased the home has responded promptly and always kept me informed. The Meadows care has my absolute trust that they are acting in my mothers best interests. Mum can be difficult at times, she is clean, well fed and her room
is kept clean. I visit every three days.
Reply from Rachel Squire, Registered Home Manager at The MeadowsThank you so much for your kind words and trust. It means a great deal to all of us at Lavender Court and the Meadows to know that you feel confident in the care your mum receives. She is such a valued part of our home, and we're glad to see her settled and well-supported as her needs have changed.
You are also a very welcome part of our community - your visits bring warmth not only to your mum but to many of our residents, who enjoy your kindness and conversation just as much. We truly appreciate the support and positivity you bring each time you visit.

On my most recent visit I was met as usual with a cheerful welcome from staff, and my aunt a much appreciated member of the family. At a planned assessment meeting it was clear that my aunt is known, and the challenges she faces in her extreme old age are skilfully, professionally and kindly effected.

Mum has dementia and has been a resident of the coach house for a few years. Her condition is deteriorating and her mood is variable. No matter how Mum is, all of the staff are wonderful with her, patient and kind with a real concern for her wellbeing. The staff know us, we are greeted with smiles and
it feels like we are part of a family. We are always kept informed about Mum's care.

Mum went to Milford House in early December for respite after an op. The staff have, without exception, been outstanding in making mum welcome and helping her to settle in. They are kind, understanding and supportive. They do and say all the right things, and they are really getting to know Mum well.
Their expertise and compassion shine out, and it is clear when we visit that they know all the residents so well. An example of this was choir practice, when with much humour and respect and knowledge of likes, dislikes and past experiences, everyone was warmly included, making it a very positive and enjoyable afternoon. Support for us as a family has been outstanding too and hugely appreciated, especially in the quite challenging Christmas period. Thank you all.

My mum has recently moved in to Spenser Grove for a rest bite period due her Dementia worsening and starting to wander outside at night. The staff have really looked after her, helping her settle in, making her feel welcome and encouraging her to get involved with the regular activity's on offer. The
rooms & facility's are excellent, very clean & tidy. Mum has now settled in & we're in the process of hopefully making this her new home. Staff are well trained and very kind/patient when looking after residents. The food is very good with choices at every meal. My mum is now safe and happy again, which is great to see.

Excellent overall care, staff are empathetic with residents needs. Management are always available to discuss care plans, respite stays and day care if warranted.
Day care is also available, which helps myself as a carer to plan for the week ahead. Day residents are always made welcome when visiting.
Security
at the home is excellent and visitors have to sign in and out electronically and wear an identification badge when visiting.

Our mum is 91 and moved into Spencer Grove in December, after a spell of uncharacteristic illness. She has settled so well, beyond her (and our) expectations. All the staff and carers have the residents welfare and happiness as their utmost priority. There is a comprehensive programme of entertainment
and the Montesorri-led activities are well structured. Our mum is happy there - what more could we ask for?

The team provide exceptional care, facilities and entertainment. Mum has only been a resident for 2 months, but has settled in really well, thanks to the induction and attention she has received. We have great confidence in the experience Mum is receiving and grateful that the transition from independent
living to residential care has been managed well by the management and staff. Mums health and mobility has improved and she seems far more social than living on her own. Great job Team Spencer Grove and thank you.

Mum moved up to Coach House from the main house she seems generally settled and calm although her condition is deteriorating. There are fewer activities but I understand this has been addressed. She does not engage much which is not the fault of the staff. Staff are unfailingly kind and take the time
to respond when required.

Mum has come on leaps and bounds since coming into The Meadows. Mum has put on weight and through the care and dedication of carers and nurses mums pressure sore has nearly mended. The carers work closely with the nurses and family. You only have to query something and it is quickly followed up and
worked on. I can safely say that with mum being in The Meadows I can rest at ease knowing full well mum is being looked after.
