Review of

Wold Haven

from S H (Daughter of Resident) published on 27 July 2022
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The staff at Wold Haven were absolutely wonderful with my late father. They were truly exemplary - really patient, respectful and compassionate. Knowing what safe hands he was in made a huge difference to us all. They made his last difficult weeks as comfortable as we could hope for in the circumstances.

This home, from the very first visit, has proved reassuring for a relative and enjoyable and caring for the resident. The home is on the human scale, with pleasant caring staff.

Review of

Wold Haven Day Centre

from Andrew H (Son of Resident) published on 21 July 2017
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother suffers with Alzheimer's and multi-joint Arthritis, she lives in a remote area and therefore sees little of people outside some very good neighbours, her carers and me. She attends Wold Haven Day Centre twice a week and though she always grumbles about having to go she loves every minute she
is there. The staff are superb, full of patience, fun and compassion.
She has made so many new friends of all ages whilst there. The food is great (so I know she is eating real food) and the entertainments and trips they arrange are fantastic. Mum always seems to be doing something exciting, certainly far more than me.

I cannot praise or thank the staff and mum's new friends at the Day Centre enough. They not only break mum's loneliness they bring her so much happiness. I have to also admit that her visits to the Day Centre give me a much needed break when I do not have to worry because I know she is safe and contented.
