Mams been in care now for 7 months can not fault care home, loverly staff are great, can't do enough for mam, gardens are realy nice take mam out, and around gardens when weather nice, have singers come in for entertainment,

My mother- in-law has recently become a resident at Eothen Homes. The transition to becoming a full time resident has been a pleasure. The staff are caring, professional and most of all supportive. The home is welcoming, clean and the gardens are especially delightful. We have been very impressed with the entire process.

My Mother recently entered the home for a period of respite care and has decided that becoming a resident at the home is the right move for her. She has settled in well and is enjoying her time. The home has a great feel and the staff are excellent.

The Home is amazing and we as a family feel so lucky that we found it for our sister.

I could not wish for my mum to be in a better care home. She is so well looked after. All the staff are kind, considerate and even in difficult situations I have witnessed how they handle residents with respect and dignity. Can't recommend Eothen highly enough.

My mother in law moved into Eothen Homes, Whitley Bay in early March 2026. Her move in was very smooth and the staff welcomed and supported her in every way. Before moving into Eothen she lived in a flat alone supported by social services, carers and her family. She was becoming very depressed and her health, mobility and mental health were detiorating. Since moving into Eothen homes she is back to her normal self. She is enjoying life again. The staff and systems at Eothen homes have really improved her generally and we have certainly chosen the right care home for her. To everyone at Eothen - Thank you.

Activities for the residents are varied, entertaining and well organised. The gardens are beautiful and a pleasure to sit out in on a sunny day.

Eothen is a warm and caring home with staff that really care and I'm so grateful that they care for my mum.

The care my Mum receives at Eothen Homes Wallsend is amazing. The staff there are truly dedicated to their jobs, nothing is too much trouble. They are friendly and really take the time to get to know each and everyone of the residents, it isn't just a job they truly care about everyone, including family. They understand how hard it is when you have to make the difficult decision to place a loved one in care. My brother and I cannot praise the staff there enough and are truly grateful every day for the dedication, commitment and compassion they show.

The whole place is immaculate, the gardens are stunning and beautifully kept. It's lovely to be able to come in and have a cup of tea and a piece of homemade cake. It is clear the staff work as a team. We and mum could not be happier with our choice!

Mam has settled in very well. She feels very safe and secure. The carers are wonderful as are all the staff. Mam has blossomed since living at Eothen.

I always feel that my father is getting the best care at Eothen Gosforth. All the staff are friendly and have the residents best interests at heart. My father really enjoys the meals provided and also enjoys the varied activities available. He particularly enjoys the day trips out.

This is just to reiterate how great Eothen Witley Bay is for our mum, who's been there for the last three years. Obviously, no one wants to go into care as an elderly person, you leave your home and reasonable 'independence' that is a given, but this care home have provided a loving and caring environment for mum to be looked after in. The staff are super and care for each resident in a way that is personal to them. Mum feels safe and looked after and we know that.

This is the only care home in this area that we viewed that feels like a home. All the others had large spaces, hard floors , felt clinical and smelt of wee. Eothen homes has friendly caring staff and management who engage with their residents in a caring and professional manner. It is a smaller home with carpets and furnishings and feel's homely. Eothen homes organises a range of activities for the residents as well as day trips and dogs are allowed to visit. Mum likes the food and we know she is in a safe place. We receive regular updates about mum and the home has good links with the local doctors. They have fabulous gardens for the residents to go out into and in the heart of Whitley bay the location is brilliant.

Exceptional care, in a warm friendly home. All my Aunt's daily needs are met, allowing for choice and autonomy.

Could not have asked for a more friendly/professional/helpful/courteous staff, they have all exceeded all my expectations. The way they treat everyone with empathy and fulfil everyone's needs, I cannot express my gratitude in helping our family in these difficult times. Cheers.
