Our mother was very well cared for at Silver Howe.
The kitchen provides very good meals & regular cups of teas, all of which mother loved.
The regularity helped her settle in. The Carers are responsive & helpful.
You can go to Kath, the Manageress with any niggling concern for she is always keen
to assist.
Most of all it is very homely. Thank you so much.

During my 2 years as a visitor the experience has been a pleasure. The staff are particularly friendly and welcoming and respond to any urgent needed action promptly and effectively. The staff also deal with arising problems very quickly. It is a delight to visit Silver Howe Care Centre and experience
the action of the staff and know that my friend continues to be given a friendly and homely service.

I am extremely disappointed with the standard of care my nana received at this home. We raised multiple serious concerns about how she was being treated, including issues that were significant enough for us to involve the authorities such as the staff inappropriately touching her and begin making arrangements
to move her elsewhere.
Her room was consistently in an unacceptable state, with food left around the space and even found in her clothing in the cupboard. It was clear to us that her basic care needs were not being met. She was frequently left unattended, and the way some staff spoke and behaved around her came across as disrespectful and unkind.
Because of the ongoing neglect and the lack of dignity shown to her, we no longer felt she was safe or properly cared for she also told us that she no longer feels safe in this care home. Families should be able to trust a care home, and in our experience, this home did not provide the level of care every resident deserves.

There was a homely atmosphere and the staff were always welcoming. The staff that cared for her mum developed a friendly relationship.

My brother was in parkfield from March 2022,myself and my siblings where always made to feel welcome on visiting ,we found if we did have any issues which where always small,these where alway dealt with ,and resolved very quickly,
My brother was given excellent care over the last few weeks of his life,being
dealt with dignity,care and compassion, We can only say and recommend Parkfield as a well run nursing home ,all staff even management work as a team helping each other as needed ,we would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts

Visiting my sister, mentioned some minor concerns to the support worker. Nurse in charge there in five minutes. Everything discussed and positive outcome and result. Care planning also gone through. The nurse in charge caught the 'fall' alarm, I was very impressed by the speed with which other staff
members responded.

Very well staffed, we were very apprehensive with my sister-in-law being admitted from her previous care setting. Saw a difference within a couple of days with us being there, as we live down south and we felt at ease knowing that she is going to get the care which she needs to suit.

From the very start the staff were amazing and could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Mum has settled in well because of the caring attitude and friendly chit-chat of the staff. Initially because of a change in management and staffing issues the room cleaning, bin emptying and lack of entertainment/activities
left a lot to be desired but this has all improved and the new manager is keen to keep working on improvements.

My sister was in this care home for four years. She was extremely well looked after. During Cvoid, there was no visiting, but we got regular phone calls, which we, and my sister, much appreciated. We never had any reason to feel concerned about her care.

Mam and dad have been at Nether Place Nursing Home for 2 months now. Following our first enquiry the assessments took place very quickly and were carried out in person. We weren't familiar with the care system but the guidance and support we were given by the Finance Director was exceptional.
The
care provided is excellent, it focuses on individual needs and mam and dad have both benefited greatly from this. Mam has dementia and the care and support they have given her has been fantastic. The staff are very kind and always welcoming and approachable when we visit.
Nether Place is very homely, the food is excellent and it is in a lovely location with fantastic views.

We are very happy to have our parents in Nether Place. The staff are kind and provide excellent care, they are easy to talk to and really do provide person centred care.
Putting our parents into a home was extremely difficult but the staff here made it feel easier than expected.
The food is excellent.
The home is clean, comfortable, and warm. The rooms are great with some beautiful views over Keswick.

My mum has lived at Silver Howe for a year and a half, choosing this home after much research. As a family, we are very pleased that she made that choice as she is happy, comfortable and well looked after. Mum’s needs have increased during the time she has been there, and the staff have managed this
change with kindness and professionalism. We are always made to feel welcome when we visit, and the staff are happy to answer any queries we may have.

Mum was looked after by Silver Howe for nearly five years. The staff were always kind and helpful. She was happy with everyone and the care she was given. We were able to visit when we wanted to (except Covid, of course).

My dear friend has been in care for a while. Visited her from my home in Scotland. The Care Center makes me feel very welcome. Could see the high standard of care provided. Meals look excellent, snacks and drinks provided too. Room was spotless and comfy, and staff popped in regularly to see if my friend
needed anything. Mr friends appearance was tidy, dressed well and comfortable in her chair sitting up watching TV. Overall, a very pleasant visit to see her, and she was happy and comfortable.

My mum chose Silver Howe, and I must say that she made an excellent choice. From the first day she arrived to her end of life care, it has been second to none. Covid was extraordinary times, and staff went the extra mile to ensure regular contact by other methods. As my mum's health deteriorated, staff
ensured she was kept safe and retained her dignity. She built up a great rapport and friendship with staff and residents. Myself and family cannot thank the staff enough. As a family, we have and will highly recommend Silver Howe for loved ones.

My mother-in-law entered Silver House in November 2019 due to suffering from dementia and unable to be in her own home. She had a nice room, excellent food, and very kind and caring carers to look after her. Unfortunately, with the onset of Covid, visiting was curtailed, and any entertainment stopped.
The carers did their very best in difficult times, and unfortunately, she passed away peacefully in her sleep on 27th January. A carer was with her.
