Very helpful, responsive and patient team. Leadership, nursing staff, care staff and chef all work together to ensure residents' needs are met. The team consistently takes time to listen, providing support in a calm, caring and respectful manner, creating a positive overall experience.

My elderly mother who has rapidly deteriorated from being a strong independent character has now spent several weeks at Nether Place with vascular dementia and ever increasing weakness. She is receiving excellent care from the professional and friendly staff and management. The security is good with coded entrance and exit doors and frequent monitoring. The food looks excellent and the team is very caring and considerate of my mother's uncharacteristic mood swings and mental moments of difficulty. We visit regularly and are always welcomed with professionalism and friendly chats as well as updates on medication and the mental health team's interventions. A very nice, clean care home is a beautiful location, allowing wheelchair access to Lake District views and garden. Thank you to all the team for your support.

I am so glad that after just 3 months my relative feels at home, is happy/content and I feel that he is receiving the care that he needs.

I recently had occasion to visit my aunt at Nether Place. I was initially pleased to note the introduction of a computerised entry/exit system giving an accurate record of persons at any one time. All the staff I met were extremely friendly and welcoming. Of the rooms I visited,all were clean and fresh.The actual nursing care at the home has,in my opinion, never been a problem. However,I have in the past been concerned at the seemingly frequent turnover of staff and occasional difficulty in making contact by phone.I am pleased to say that since the introduction of the new management structure this is no longer a concern. Having spoken to management at the time, I was encouraged by their willingness to make changes to staffing and organisational procedures where required. I continue to be impressed with the activities provided to stimulate and promote the residents mental well-being. In closing I cannot, in all honesty, speak too highly of the home.

The staff have always been very caring and kind. They seem to have responded well to more structure, training and direction. We are grateful for the good care given and for the improved communications.

During my 2 years as a visitor the experience has been a pleasure. The staff are particularly friendly and welcoming and respond to any urgent needed action promptly and effectively. The staff also deal with arising problems very quickly. It is a delight to visit Silver Howe Care Centre and experience the action of the staff and know that my friend continues to be given a friendly and homely service.

Because of the ongoing neglect and the lack of dignity shown to her, we no longer felt she was safe or properly cared for she also told us that she no longer feels safe in this care home. Families should be able to trust a care home, and in our experience, this home did not provide the level of care every resident deserves.

There was a homely atmosphere and the staff were always welcoming. The staff that cared for her mum developed a friendly relationship.

My brother was given excellent care over the last few weeks of his life,being dealt with dignity,care and compassion, We can only say and recommend Parkfield as a well run nursing home ,all staff even management work as a team helping each other as needed ,we would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts

Visiting my sister, mentioned some minor concerns to the support worker. Nurse in charge there in five minutes. Everything discussed and positive outcome and result. Care planning also gone through. The nurse in charge caught the 'fall' alarm, I was very impressed by the speed with which other staff members responded.

Very well staffed, we were very apprehensive with my sister-in-law being admitted from her previous care setting. Saw a difference within a couple of days with us being there, as we live down south and we felt at ease knowing that she is going to get the care which she needs to suit.

From the very start the staff were amazing and could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Mum has settled in well because of the caring attitude and friendly chit-chat of the staff. Initially because of a change in management and staffing issues the room cleaning, bin emptying and lack of entertainment/activities left a lot to be desired but this has all improved and the new manager is keen to keep working on improvements.

I am satisfied and happy here. The staff are excellent and look after me well.

My sister was in this care home for four years. She was extremely well looked after. During Cvoid, there was no visiting, but we got regular phone calls, which we, and my sister, much appreciated. We never had any reason to feel concerned about her care.

Nether Place is very homely, the food is excellent and it is in a lovely location with fantastic views.

The food is excellent. The home is clean, comfortable, and warm. The rooms are great with some beautiful views over Keswick.

My mum has lived at Silver Howe for a year and a half, choosing this home after much research. As a family, we are very pleased that she made that choice as she is happy, comfortable and well looked after. Mum’s needs have increased during the time she has been there, and the staff have managed this change with kindness and professionalism. We are always made to feel welcome when we visit, and the staff are happy to answer any queries we may have.
