Review of Maes Llywelyn from Joanne J (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 January 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mum has been a resident since April 2024. We visit mum a few times a week. Mum looks amazing and feels very happy. Mum has improved in her overall health, including her walking abilty. We just turn up whenever we want and are always made welcome. Christmas was amazing, staff pulled out all the stops to make it a warm and fun Christmas.

We feel that staff at Maes Llewellyn are an extension of our family and have no negatives to say about this lovely caring home. I highly recommend it.

Review of Caemaen from Paul E (Son of Resident) published on 7 July 2023 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mother has been a resident at Caemaen for about six months now and I am extremely impressed with the standard of care she is receiving. The staff are wonderful and I've noticed that all staff, including the cleaners, know the residents' names and take the time to smile and say a few words each time they walk past my mother. I can't praise the staff enough!

Awel Tywi has been a wonderful experience for us as a family. The love and care that my mother received were of the highest order. Everyone was so pleasant and wanted to do their very best. Thank you to every single staff member for your compassion and for everything you did. We will always remember you.

Review of Y Bwthyn from D M (Daughter of Resident) published on 27 December 2018 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Since dad moved into Y Bwthyn he has encountered excellent care, respect and kindness. We can visit at any time even with dad's small dog in tow! Dad has a comfortable room, decorated to a high standard and with a great view. The carers have taken the time to get to know who he is in terms of character, life experiences, beliefs and his large extended family. There is a delightful tearoom and a comfortable lounge where we can sit with him and chat. There is a beautiful garden with raised beds, a fountain, shrubs and a pergola. The meals are varied and the kitchen staff take time and effort to cater to my dad’s dietary needs including home-made cakes and biscuits for afternoon tea. The senior management are exemplary and have supported the whole family. Y Bwthyn is an attractive, warm, safe and spotless home with a stunning aspect. How fortunate Llanelli is to have such a high calibre care home. A big thank you to the staff for all they do day in and day out.

Review of Maes Llywelyn from Colin M (Son of Resident) published on 26 February 2018 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My wife and I were very impressed with the level of care and attention given to my mother when she was sent to Maes Llewelyn following a fall. We did not think she would be able to return home and yet after two months she is now home!
We are extremely grateful to the Home Manager and all the Carers for their support and continuous assistance with all the residents!

We cannot praise all concerned and recommend them enough for all their hard work.
