Review of Ferndale House from N E (Son of Resident) published on 18 October 2023 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
A truly great place for family care.
Providing 24/7 care.
Staff are very good and helpful.
My father sees it as his home and is happy there, having games and contact with others.
There are outside facilities which are great in the good weather.

Only downside is the areas do need more care to restrict weed growth.

Review of Tegfan Resource Centre from Colleen R (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 13 August 2021 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Our Dad came to Tegfan Resource Centre for rest bite as he had dementia and he was being cared for by his wife who is 87. This was the first time that we had used the adult home care service. From the outset the communication was excellent and when we dropped Dad off and met the staff, we were totally reassured that he was going to be well looked after.
We were encouraged to phone every day, and on one occasion I was able to have a three-way conversation with Dad and the carer that was with him.
The 'Who am I' booklet that we completed was read to him by staff and we know how much he would have loved that.
The concerns that we had around our father not eating were their concerns and they tried everything to try and get him to eat.

In the short time that he was there we felt as a family that he'd had a very happy experience, he was safe, well cared for and was also well known by the staff. Dad has now passed away but we as a family are so grateful to the Tegfan team who are absolutely amazing people.

Review of Clydach Court from Stephen C (Son of Resident) published on 21 September 2015 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

This care home is fantastic, the staff are really helpful and friendly. They take the time to sit down with the residents and chat with them, have a cuppa and a laugh with the residents. They have artists come in every week to entertain the residents and many other activities. The home is very clean and tidy with plenty of space and different themed rooms. The bedrooms are of a fair size and cleaned daily. The canteen is a good size with a choice of food for the user. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone seeking a home for a loved one.
