What an amazing place , the staff are absolutely fantastic!!! My mum has been there for just over three weeks for rehab following a stoke. From the Care workers , physio , OT , kitchen staff , domestic staff there is no better place. All the staff are approachable , they care for each resident with respect and compassion. Thank you to Philip and his staff for looking after my mum .
My mother was admitted on the 1st of January post breaking her arm. From day 1 I could not fault the care and attention my mother received from every member of the exceptional nursing team. If it had been possible my mum would have stayed there long term. I would like to thank the manager and the fantastic staff from the bottom of my heart.
My time spent at Lisgarel for rehab was around 5 weeks and during this time I was extremely well looked after by all the staff throughout my stay. Indeed most staff couldn't do enough for me, as well as others staying for rehab. Although there are only a few permanent residents who live at Lisgarel, both permanent and rehab service users receive the same attention from staff without any discrimination. Staff were almost over-courteous and very helpful to me. I found everyone to be friendly and cheerful, even those whose health was perhaps worse than my own. As far as cleanliness of bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors and hallways are concerned, everywhere was kept clean and tidy at least twice daily by dedicated staff. The meals were freshly cooked and next to none with ample daily choice on the menu.
My mum from day 1 in Rosedale said it’s like a 5 star hotel - only better. The care is the best, staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, amazing, and caring, fabulous food and she wants to stay there forever (unfortunately that isn’t possible).
I can’t say enough wonderful recommendations about this home - except I’ll be writing to the Trust and RQIA with all the positive feedback.
I have been attending for a good few weeks now, at first I wondered if this was for me but after attending Gloucester Park Day Centre I now realize it has given me some inspiration to get out and start living again, after my dear husband died from Alzheimer's disease I tended to never leave the house, now I am enjoying the company of others and I have to say the staff are non stop in giving their attention to us all, I have met some lovely people here and hope to continue attending. The club is always thinking of new ways to inspire all of us and frequently have nice bus runs and party days, the lunch is always enjoyed too, sometimes I feel like a special person as I am not used to being served as I was usually the one to be a carer. Thank you.
It made me feel very reassured that she is getting really good care.
I would like to sincerely thank all the staff in the Roddens care home for the outstanding care that my 94-year-old father received during his stay in the home for respite for 9 days, during May 2022. My father found the environment to be very homely and was very content during his stay in the home. Once again, many thanks.
My mum has just left this facility after spending six weeks in their care. She is sad to have left and has nothing but great things to say about her experience and the staff in particular. For her first experience in this environment, the staff made the transition seamless and pleasurable. Thank you for all of your efforts.
My husband has been in for over 4 weeks and it was hard looking at him through a window downstairs but he was well looked after. When he was moved upstairs, both him and ourselves were delighted and he was a lot happier. It is just a pity we cannot see him more than 3 times a week as we have quite a few in our family. He gets very lonely on his own but the staff could not be better and he loves to see them come in and gets on great with them and has a good crack. Just a pity we can't visit more often. Thank you all for your great care.
My Mother is here for rest after a hip operation. She likes the food and finds it very quiet after the busy hospital. She is very well cared for, the staff are very caring and polite towards her, the district nurse has attended every day and the social workers are arranging future needs. From management to the carers everyone has to be thanked.
The staff are so kind. They always are welcoming. The day care is great. The standard is high. The cleanliness always appears to be tops. They are so reassuring to a confused mind. This is my first choice for care of the elderly.
This is an excellent service for the elderly, disabled, and people who have problems of one sort or another. It provides stimulation for the elderly to join in activities which help them to enjoy their day.
My husband and I cannot speak too highly of The Roddens Care Home. The care and attention my aunt received during her two week stay there was outstanding and we feel the home is an example of how such a facility should be administered and how care staff should treat their residents. Every single one of the care staff we spoke to couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming and exhibited their genuine concern for my aunt, and for my husband and myself as her carers, at every opportunity. All of them are a credit to the care system. The home itself is beautifully maintained with lovely furnishings throughout and residents dictate the pace of the day. On all the days we visited we witnessed the girls taking time to talk to the residents, speaking gently and warmly to them and addressing their concerns in every way possible.
The Roddens is a five star Care Home with five star staff!!!
The care my friend gets in Clonmore is exceptional to say the least. The personal care and attention that she gets goes beyond the call of duty. The girls are all so nice and always have time to talk about my friend and her needs. The girls have become friends as well as carers, which is so important at a time which could be so lonely and difficult when you have to leave the comfort of your own home and familiar surroundings. I could not recommend Clonmore highly enough.
